NYC Tea Party was fantastic. I’d estimate crowd @ 2,000 although tough to tell since we were lining both sides of 8th Ave for a few blocks. A couple of moonbat counter-protesters but nothing significant. The only negative words I heard were from a black dude who drove by the line in his SUV saying, “I hope you all die.” (I thanked him for his support…) Our group was very energized, positive and polite. Lou Dobbs was a last minute sub for main speaker Larry Kudlow. (I shook his hand and thanked him for coming, although he’s not my favorite (he’s got too much Ross Perot in him…) Cops were many and cool with us. Lots of great signs and costumes, i.e. colonials, Lady Liberty, etc. I actually got hold of a quality printed sign and brought it home for next time. It says “Obama: You Suck At Baseball And Your Socialist Policies Are Destroying Our Country”. Amazing lack of MSM coverage, especially photos (but can one really be amazed and not surprised at the same time?!) And this today, from the NRO Corner blog:

Hey Tea Partiers, President Obama thinks you have a funny way of showing your gratitude to him:
Speaking at a Democratic fundraiser tonight, President Obama touted his administration’s tax cuts and said that the recent tea party rallies across the nation have “amused†him.
“You would think they should be saying thank you,†the president said to applause.
Members of the audience shouted, “Thank you.â€
An exuberant Obama appeared at a fundraiser for the DNC at the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami. The event raised $2.5 million for the party.
Remember how reading this feels, and carry that feeling straight through to November. If he thinks your rallies are ‘amusing,’ wait’ll he gets a load of your victory parties.
