No hope for kids born into hate

PALESTINIAN children have almost no hope. Sadly, the same might be said about some Muslim kids in suburbs near us.
On the West Bank and in Gaza many fathers, sometimes even their mothers, are at war with the world.
Their self-loathing is such that they are willing to condemn their own kids to lives of poverty, misery – even death.
The Palestinian Authority, which enjoys substantial grants from the Australian Government, puts on a face of decency and invites journalists and politicians from around the world to discuss its issues.
They are self-delusional. They see one enemy: The West. Its face, as far as they can focus, is Israel.
Palestinians, like Muslims in much of the region, lash out at Israel rather than look at why their societies have often ground to a halt.
If you are going to define yourself by hatred for your neighbour, you can pretty much expect to remain backward.
There are Australian Muslims who define themselves by their hatred for our Christian values – which are central to us notwithstanding our secular government – and from time to time they make news.
There might even be some of them below the radar right now planning something they believe will humiliate us, undermine our Western values, and help deliver Sharia law.
It helps that these people, such as Algerian-born cleric Abdul Nacer Benbrika, are often as dumb as a box of spanners.
He was the fellow who, with a bunch of mates, planned to blow up the MCG on Grand Final day. He was given a fair trial – it’s a Western tradition – convicted and jailed for just 12 years.
We must deport him when he’s released, and in the meantime keep a close eye on our enemies.
Israel does, and it’s kept them alive.
