I usually enjoy reading Pamela Geller’s columns, however, it is apparent to me that the author, Ms. Geller does not understand how the curriculum to be taught in Texas Public Schools is adopted.The Governor of the State does not have any authority to demand that a certaincourse of study be taught. The curriculum is adopted by a board of elected representatives, from the entire State, the State Board of Education. Books are reviewed, prior to their inclusion in a course of study, by parents within various school districts. Their findings and recommendations are considered.The governor does appoint a Commissioner of Education. The Board is elected from single member districts. The entire State of Texas is represented on this board. The State Board of Education is also considered a public entity and must comply with the very strict Texas Open Meetings and Pubic Information Acts.They are not legally allowed to conduct the public’s business in secret. . I have been on a committee for my local school district. Texas parents have a great deal of power over what is taught in the classroom and are empowered by the laws regarding education in this state. In the University system, professors select the curriculum and text books.My Texas University Student attends a public university and there is no curriculum as described byMs. Geller that must be taken. I request that you stop spreading incorrect and false information regarding the adoption of books or curriculum in the State of Texas, as the Governor is not the final arbiter. I enjoy reading The American Thinker. The inclusion of articles, which do not reflect the truth and in fact spread falsehoods, certainly lowers the quality of your website.

There is no solution to this apart from what the Arab Muslims want – the destruction of Israel and the death of every Jew in the region. You can make every land deal you like, but people who are sworn to the above will not stop short of it. Ever. If you think they will ever recognise Israel, you are an idiot. A two-state solution effectively mandates Israel’s demise, and allows them even greater access to Israel, with weapons and Islamic nutters pouring in over the borders from every muslim hell-hole on earth. It will be ceaseless, until they have wiped out Dar al Harb totally. Then they will have a major obstacle to the caliphate removed.
If you want credibility it’s not a good idea to propose an Israel-Palestine peace plan in the Financial Times. But Brent Scowcroft’s latest offering is a waste of space in any case
