ED ZIEGLER: SHUT MY MOUTH? NO WAY…..SEE NOTE PLEASE

I pray you are like me and adamantly refuse to give up your freedom of speech.
If we lose our freedom of speech what will we lose next? Freedom of religion? Freedom of opinion? Freedom of choice? etc?
Our enemies, the fanatic Islamists, want to restrict us from exercising our constitutional right of free speech. Below are instances where they have in one way or another, attempted to, and or succeeded in, limiting our freedom of speech.
One effective non-violent tool the Islamists use is threat. There have been a number of hotels, noted below, that have been threatened, and subsequently caved in, canceling already booked anti-Jihadist events that displeased Muslims.
Thomas A. Negri, managing director of Loew’s Vanderbilt Hotel and Office complex in Nashville, Tennessee, canceled a contract with a the New English Review Foundation who were scheduled to hold a conference on “Radical Islam”.
Mr. Negri refused to say why he felt the conference would adversely affect the “health, safety and well-being” of the hotel’s guests and employees, except to refer to the website of the New English Review, the conservative group organizing the conference.
In 2009 the Delray Beach Marriott felt threatened and pulled the rug out from underneath a Free Speech Conference. Who and why would anybody fear free speech?
Then in October 2011, only a few hours before Pamela Geller was to make her presentation, “Islamization of America,” to hundreds of people, the Hyatt Place Houston canceled the event. It was reported the Hyatt Place Houston/Sugar Land received threatening calls causing the hotel to surrender to Islamic terrorists.
In November of 2011 The Hutton Hotel, Nashville refused to honor its contract because they want to be “sensitive” to Islamists and Jihadists who have threatened their property should “the Sharia and Islamization of America” event be held there.
Then, in many colleges, when a lecturer is not in agreement with the Muslim Student Association’s opinion Muslim students attempt to disrupt the event. In September 2002 Palestinian student rioters prevented former Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu from speaking at Montreal’s Concordia University.
In Aug 2008, It was reported that Random House announced that it has canceled publication of a novel, The Jewel of Medina, by Sherry Jones. The novel concerns the child (six year old) wife, Aisha, of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Random House made no bones about its reasons for doing so. The Deputy Publisher, Thomas Perry stated that Random House received “cautionary advice not only that the publication of this book might be offensive to some in the Muslim community, but also that it could incite acts of violence by a small, radical segment.”
Perry went on, “In this instance we decided, after much deliberation, to postpone publication for the safety of the author, employees of Random House, booksellers and anyone else who would be involved in distribution and sale of the novel.”
Several years ago newspapers cowered before Muslim rage and refused to run cartoons of Muhammad. In October 2011 The Washington Post pulled a cartoon that mentions Muhammad but doesn’t depict him, for fear of enraging Muslims. . And once again, one of the nation’s most influential mainstream media outlets fails to see the impact on free speech. Caving in to threats encourages the Islamic terrorists to continue using threats as a powerful weapon.
Since their founding, in 1994, the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) has sued and/or attacked such media outlets as: The Washington Times, The Los Angeles Times, The National Post, National Review, Anti-CAIR, various talk radio hosts, and college newspapers. Recently, even “The Daily Caller” has found itself caught in CAIR’s crosshairs. CAIR sues companies, organizations and individuals as a form of intimidation warning all parties to refrain from doing or acting contrary to the the wishes of Muslims.
What better way is there to prevent people from freely voicing an opinion of a religion (Islam) than by making it a criminal offense.
For years the Organization of Islamic Conference group in the UN has been pushing for the UN to adapt their an anti-blasphemy resolution. In 2009 The United Nations adopted what it calls a “Resolution to Combat Defamation of Religion.” Now the U.N. wants to make the anti-blasphemy resolution binding on all member nations. That would make it a crime in the United States to make a comment about a religion, including, Islam that someone might consider a criticism.
In my opinion the biggest threat to our freedom of speech is Political Correctness in any form and most particularly as currently fostered by the United States government.
On March 30, 2009 Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the Obama administration has indeed abandoned the term “war on terror.” If it is not a war then what are we fighting? Our government has eliminated using terms in strategic documents and FBI training material that might offend Muslims .
If most terrorists are Muslim and proclaim themselves as such, and freely state they are fighting their Jihad, why can’t we call this enemy what they are, Muslim Jihadists?
Yes. Not bending to the demands of Muslim pressure may push Muslims to violence. However submitting is to guarantee they will demand more and more until we lose everything and be required to adhere to their Islamic Law as Dhimmi, (second class people) or become Muslim, like it or not. Be proud stand up and protect our freedom of speech.
As of December 30, 2011 Islamic Terrorists have carried out more than 18,212 deadly terror attacks since 9/11
