http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/detail/the-obamagas-rip-off The Wall Street Journal notes that when President Obama took office in 2009, gas was $1.84 per gallon. The Lundberg Survey last Sunday shows gas in Chicago at $4.25. But that’s small potatoes. Wait until you learn what the U.S. Navy pays for Obamagas. Even loyal Democrats in the Teamsters Union would raise hell […]

Why Martin Luther King Was Republican
thanks to my e-pal bud…..rsk

It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S’s: slavery, secession, segregation and now socialism.
It was the Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks. The Democrats fought to prevent the passage of every civil rights law beginning with the civil rights laws of the 1860s, and continuing with the civil rights laws of the 1950s and 1960s.
During the civil rights era of the 1960s, Dr. King was fighting the Democrats who stood in the school house doors, turned skin-burning fire hoses on blacks and let loose vicious dogs. It was Republican President Dwight Eisenhower who pushed to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and sent troops to Arkansas to desegregate schools. President Eisenhower also appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren to the U.S. Supreme Court, which resulted in the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision ending school segregation. Much is made of Democrat President Harry Truman’s issuing an Executive Order in 1948 to desegregate the military. Not mentioned is the fact that it was Eisenhower who actually took action to effectively end segregation in the military.

http://www.prudenpolitics.com/newsletter?utm_source=P&P%20Auto%201&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=4614 We may be a nation of saps, if the pollsters are correct in their current assessment of the presidential race, but we’re a nation of good-hearted saps. We always want to do the right thing. We like that lovable ol’ lug in the White House, blundering and incompetent though he is. We want to […]
http://www.juliagorin.com/wordpress/?p=2908 I knew there was a reason that I respected Bob Dylan. In addition to defending Israel in the song “Neighborhood Bully,” and in addition to not myopically joining the Vietnam protest movement the way every other artist did at the time, he apparently also knows something about the Balkans. And that’s something Croatia is […]
http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/3372/afghanistanization-middle-east After the Arab Spring, we can pick and choose from new Afghanistans popping up all over. The Salafist militias are providing order for a price while carving their own little private Afghanistans out of formerly stable countries. Eleven years after September 11, Afghanistan is nowhere near being stable; instead it is the Middle East […]
http://www.dianawest.net/Home/tabid/36/EntryId/2256/Savage-Is-as-Savage-Does.aspx “It’s going to spark controversy, obviously, when you deem one side savages and the other side civilized.” That’s what man-on-the-street Colby Richardson says in this news clip, knitting his brows earnestly in the direction of an advertisment (above) posted in the New York subway by organizations run by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer. It […]
http://www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/p19105.xml Suddenly, the President’s new clothes seem embarrassingly transparent. The contention relentlessly promoted by Team Obama, to the effect that the Commander-in-Chief’s performance with respect to foreign policy and national security was simply unassailable, is being seen for what it is: an utter fraud. The deal-breaker has been the accumulating evidence that President Obama and […]
