North Carolina Democrat Will Vote To Repeal Obamacare, Will Not Endorse Obama :Tony Lee

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/07/03/North-Carolina-Democrat-Will-Vote-To-Repeal-Obamacare-Will-Not-Endorse-Obama
North Carolina Democrat Larry Kissell represents the state’s 8th Congressional district, one of the more closely-watched swing districts. He was one of 17 Democrats who voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in criminal contempt of Congress. And now, according to the Charlotte Observer, Kissell will join Republicans in voting to repeal Obamacare.

“I’ve heard from hundreds and hundreds of people from my district about their opposition to the health care law,” Kissell told the newpaper. “I voted against it originally and I will vote to repeal it.”

According to the Observer, Kissell “also said he doesn’t plan to endorse Obama for re-election and isn’t sure he’ll attend his party’s national convention in Charlotte.”

Kissell will have to work very hard to miss the convention that is almost literally being held in his backyard. As RNC Deputy Communications Director Tim Miller tweeted, Kissell’s district ends about a mile away from where the Democratic National Convention will be held.

This is yet another sign of how unpopular Obamacare is and how much trouble Obama is in in the Tar Heel State, which he won in 2008.

ANOTHER OBAMA APOLOGY: WILLIAM BIGELOW

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2012/07/03/Obama-admin-apologizes-Pakistan
Love means never having to say you’re sorry? Not for the Obama administration. According to the Obama administration, love means always saying you’re sorry –especially if it’s to foreign governments that hate America. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has offered the Pakistani government an apology for last November’s incident where U.S.-led forces accidentally killed two dozen Pakistani troops at the Afghanistan border.

“We are sorry for the losses suffered by the Pakistani military. We are committed to working closely with Pakistan and Afghanistan to prevent this from ever happening again,” Clinton said in a statement.

Sherry Rehman, Pakistan’s ambassador to the U.S., said Pakistan was pleased:

MARK STEYN: CULTURE AND NARCISSISM

http://www.steynonline.com/5033/gradus-ad-narcissum “How do you get to Carnegie Hall?” “Practice.” It’s an old line, and perhaps an obsolescent one. I can’t recall the last time I heard anyone use it. Americans don’t seem to want to get to Carnegie Hall, not if American Idol is auditioning round the block. And practice is one of those things, […]

FATWAH ON “INFIDEL” TOMATOES….????

‘Tomatoes are Christian,’ Egyptian Salafi group warns

http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/tomatoes-are-christian-egyptian-salafi-group-warns–.aspx?PageID=238&NID=23713&NewsCatID=393#.T_JVNOAtGW5.mailto

The group’s message on Facebook.
A Salafi group called the “Popular Egyptian Islamic Association” has warned Muslims against eating tomatoes on the grounds that the fruit is a “Christian food,” NowLebanon.com has reported.

The group based its claim on the fact that a shape resembling a cross is revealed when one cuts a tomato in half.

The association published the warning on its Facebook page with a photo of a tomato cut in half, revealing a cross-shaped interior.

A message posted on the page read, “Eating tomatoes is forbidden because they are Christian. [The tomato] praises the cross instead of Allah and says that Allah is three [in reference to the Holy Trinity].”

The message went on to say, “I implore you to spread this photo because there is a sister from Palestine who saw the Prophet of Allah in a vision and he was crying, warning his nation against eating [tomatoes]. If you don’t spread this [message], know that it is the devil who stopped you.”

The message caused outrage among Facebook users, which prompted the group to clarify their warning, saying they did not tell people not to eat tomatoes. “We said don’t cut it in [such a way that it reveals] the cross shape.”

Who does President Barack Obama think he is that he can change the wording of the Declaration of Independence? Again and again he presumes to quote the great declaration while making a significant change: He omits the word “Creator.”Americans know that the Declaration of Independence proclaims as a matter of fact that they “are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.” But when Obama recites this line, he omits the word “Creator.”Listen carefully to how Obama censors that famous line. Here are his own words: “all men are created equal, that each of us are endowed with certain inalienable rights.” He doesn’t say who endowed us.

JEFF JACOBY: THE HOLIDAY WITH A VILLAIN ****

THE FOURTH OF JULY is the only American holiday with a villain. http://www.jeffjacoby.com/11947/celebrating-royal-free The Declaration of Independence, adopted by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, is best known for its stirring preamble. But most of the charter is an indictment of King George III for his “history of repeated injuries and usurpations” — […]

DANIEL GREENFIELD: WHATEVER HAPPENED TO OCCUPY WALL STREET?

http://sultanknish.blogspot.com/

Yesterday I took a walk down to the oldest part of New York City, where the Dutch landed and planted their flag near the current location of the Staten Island Ferry, where George Washington stood his officers rounds at Fraunces Tavern, now filled with Wall Street types, and where a bunch of smelly hippies stirred by an Anti-Semitic Canadian magazine decided to squat a public park in order to make a statement about their own need for attention.
Zuccotti Park has returned to its original function as a place where secretaries, construction workers and off-duty cops go to eat quick lunches bought from local fast food places or disease-ridden Halal Mafia food carts. The few plants wave in a breeze that blows between the narrow lanes of the financial district, which has some of the oldest and narrowest streets in the city. An information desk for OWS is the only sign of the occupation, with taped-together cardboard signs denouncing the NYPD and sarcastically informing the Indian and Russian tourists taking snapshots of the under-construction Freedom Tower; “And to think these ‘People’ are the ‘Heroes’ of ‘911’… Right.”

Occupy Wall Street has gone east, one block east. It no longer occupies Wall Street, instead it has transformed into Occupy Trinity Church. The media, which served as the unofficial PR corps for OWS, is not too enthusiastic about reporting that a movement which they hailed is busy trying to seize land from a historic Episcopalian church that dates back to 1697, in whose cemetery lie several signers of the Declaration of Independence and several delegates to the Continental Congress, not to mention several Revolutionary War generals and a fellow by the name of Alexander Hamilton.

RUTHIE BLUM: WHY I WON’T PITCH A PROTEST TENT

http://www.israelhayom.com/site/newsletter_opinion.php?id=2166

Last summer, when the social protest tents started popping up on Tel Aviv’s Rothschild Boulevard, I knew I was going to have to absent myself from the festivities — other than to become an observer for the purpose of anthropological, psychological, sociological, cultural and political analysis.

And it really bummed me out not to be able to participate.

I, too, have had a rough time of making a living. I, too, move from rental to rental like a wandering Jewess, as a result of not being able to afford a down payment and a mortgage on a place of my own. I, too, have had to manage living with an overdraft, due to the high cost of everything from cottage cheese to “free” education for my four kids. I, too, have found myself requiring parental subsidies well into adulthood.

I, too, have been a member of the “working poor” — particularly since my former long-time place of employment had a peculiar policy of lowering my salary every few years.

In addition to all of the above, I, too, could really have enjoyed hanging out on the streets of Tel Aviv, painting signs while listening to guitar music. (I’m not big on camping in the wild, but occupying a blanket at the foot of chi-chi cafes and sushi bars would be much to my liking indeed.)
