(CNSNews.com) – “Are you human?” Assistant District Attorney Ed Cameron asked Kermit Gosnell during closing arguments in the abortionist’s trial on Monday.
Cameron noted that during the six-week trial, “Mr. McMahon (the defense attorney) kept asking the witnesses, are you human?” That question really should be asked of Gosnell, Cameron said, turning to look directly at the defendant: “Are you human?” he asked.
Gosnell stared right back and laughed.
“To med these women up, to stick scissors in babies necks — he’s the one in this case that doesn’t deserve to be called human,” Cameron said.
The trial of Gosnell entered its final phase on Monday, after lengthy closing arguments from defense attorney Jack McMahon and from prosecutor Cameron. Gosnell is charged with four counts of first-degree murder, for allegedly killing babies born alive during abortions by snipping their spinal cords with surgical scissors.
Cameron ended his closing argument with a plea to the jury to reach a guilty verdict. He quoted Steve Massof, an unlicensed medical graduate who worked at Gosnell’s clinic, the Women’s Medical Society in West Philadelphia:
“I felt like a fireman in hell,” Massof testified about the time he spent doing abortions late at night before Gosnell would arrive. “It was raining fetuses.”
“[Gosnell’s] the captain of that hell,” Cameron told the court. “It’s time for us to extinguish the hell he created.”
Cameron asked the jurors to “use their common sense” in determining whether the babies were born alive. Gosnell’s defense spent the morning arguing there was reasonable doubt that the four babies alleged to have been murdered were born alive.
“Why do you think there’s a hole in its head?” Cameron said. “It was because that it was an added step to make sure that baby was dead.”
Cameron recalled clinic janitor Jim Johnson’s testimony that the clinic’s toilet was constantly clogged up. “You all know what that’s from, that’s from babies in the toilet,” he said.
“Maybe you’ve been desensitized by this case, but just the thought of using a plunger and having an arm and a leg come up,” Cameron told the jury. He said Gosnell had no respect for the dead, putting fetal remains in the garbage disposal, the toilet, and the freezer.
Cameron also relayed the testimony of Shanice Manning, who was only 14 or 15 years old when her mother brought her into Gosnell’s clinic for an abortion. She did not receive the required counseling before an abortion under Pennsylvania law, nor was the 24-hour waiting period applied.
Manning had to go to the hospital after complications, and that’s where the baby was stillborn.

On April 15, 2013 at 2:49 pm, three people were killed and 264 were wounded at the Boston Marathon in one of the worst terrorist attacks since 9/11. The alleged terrorists were the two Tsarnaev brothers, jihadists – Islamic Chechen terrorists.
The pain and suffering of these victims and their families is just beginning. Our hearts go out to them.
But this act of terrorism could have been prevented, if the FBI and other government investigators had been permitted to do their jobs and catch the two terrorists before they set off their bombs.
The FBI leadership’s problem with “political correctness” and their willful blindness to the threat of Islamic jihad is a problem for all Americans. We don’t know how many other investigations have been shut down by the Obama administration’s policies that limit what law enforcement professionals are permitted to see, to say and to think.
Patriotic, hard-working investigators in the FBI and across the government have been shackled for years when it comes to radical Islam. The Obama administration has even forbidden FBI and other counterterrorism professionals from using fact-based terms to describe the threat of terrorism. They can’t use terms like “jihad” or “Islamic terrorism.”
And it gets worse.
Obama-appointed officials are reaching out to “experts” affiliated with groups linked to the extremist Muslim Brotherhood, to pre-approve any training materials for law enforcement and the military.
In 2011, the Obama administration actually purged FBI training materials of information that warns of the connection between the Tsarnaevs’ kind of “religious fervor” and terrifying acts of jihad.
That same year, something went seriously wrong when, on a tip from Russian counter-terrorism experts, the FBI interviewed Boston Marathon terrorist Tamerlan Tsarnaev, a man who had declared his willingness to die for Islam. The FBI filed a report that they found nothing wrong and in June 2011, they closed the case. The investigators were not permitted to stop him.

In 2017, Huma Abedin may be the wife of the mayor of New York City or the National Security Adviser to the President of the United States. It’s even possible that she might be both.
Huma Abedin’s husband, Anthony Weiner, was once the front-runner for the top job. Weiner’s career was temporarily torpedoed by a sex scandal, but a weak campaign field has tempted him back into the race and already positioned him at the number two spot.
Weiner’s competition is a lesbian City Council speaker, who is seen as a Bloomberg toady, a Comptroller who may soon be headed to jail for campaign finance fraud and a radical leftist Public Advocate who quotes Che and whose wife once claimed to be a lesbian.
In that company, Weiner no longer looks as freakish as he once did and with a $4.3 million war chest, he could win by drowning his Democratic opponents in cash and then fundraising all over again during the general election when he becomes the only alternative to a Republican mayor.
Bloomberg proved that even an unpopular candidate despised by most voters could win elections by flooding community and interest groups with cash and Weiner’s biggest asset isn’t even his war chest; it’s his connection to the Clintons. Weiner’s connection to a Clinton White House means more money for the city and that is something that his party and most community groups are eager to get a taste of.
