Outraged French Jews will hold a demonstration Sunday over a government-funded Paris museum exhibit glorifying suicide bombers.

The exhibit, which featuresphotographs by Palestinian Authority Arab photographer Ahlam Shibli, is entitled “Death.” It is being shown at the Jeu de Paume museum.

The exhibit features portraits of Arab suicide bombers, from the military wing of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah faction. Specifically, they are members of the Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade, a banned terror organization in the U.S. and the European Union.

Alongside the dozens of photographs are anti-Israel captions glorifying their deaths.

Although the museum defended its right to the exhibit, hanging signs that captions were those of the artist and not the institution, the government warned the museum to clarify the point still further, according to reports in The News-Tribune and in othermedia.

One photo depicts a proud mother in her home waving a photo of her terrorist son who murdered 19 victims in a 2002 attack on a bus in Jerusalem. Next to another, a caption explains all the individuals in the photo are “martyrs” since they died “as a result of the Israeli occupation.”

“This is unacceptable,” stated Roger Cukierman, president of CRIF, the largest Jewish organization that fights anti-Semitism in France. “You have the right to be shocked an apology for terrorists is made in the heart of Paris – and to think this is a state-funded museum.

“There must be more vigilance,” he added. “One minute France is fighting terrorists in Mali, and then celebrating the same ones here.”
