An officially recognized forum of Democratic Party in Texas known as Muslim Democratic Caucus of Texas hosted its tenth annual Iftar dinner with Muslim community members, Democratic Party officials and elected public officials.
The event was attended by a large number of elected officials including state representatives, County Judge, County Sheriff, Civil, family and criminal court judges, and party officials including Texas Democratic Party Executive Director, Ex State Chair, Member Democratic National Committee, County Chairs and State executive committee members.

French Government Considering Banning Muslim Headscarves from Universities:
A French government agency has recommended banning university students from wearing religious symbols such as Muslim headscarves, say reports.
The High Council for Integration (HCI) is alarmed by “growing tensions in all sectors of university life” that were undermining the country’s secular values.
A school law, which has been in place since 2004, has had success in reducing problems stemming from religious differences at school level. The law bans school children from wearing religious symbols in all educational establishments except universities.

The Diocese of Minya and Abu Qurqas released a statement on Sunday on the clashes that took place Saturday night in Bani Ahmed village in the Minya governorate in Upper Egypt.
The statement said the clashes started as a verbal dispute between a Muslim and a Copt that residents resolved.
Following iftar, two Muslim youths clashed with a group of Copts.
The fight grew and residents of nearby villages arrived on the scene carrying Molotov cocktails and weapons, chanting slogans against Copts, armed forces and the police.

A powerful bomb which was heard for kilometers killed eight people and injured 30 others in Cotabato City on Monday, officials said.
