TABITHA KOROL: L’AMERICAINE

One of the Plain Dealer’s Pajama Diaries’ comic strips this month, October, by Terri Libenson, showed the following headings across four frames: “There is no doubt our society is kid-centric. But there seems to be a growing backlash. Taking a cue from Europe, families are trying a more laid-back approach to parenting. Still, much of Europe has certain advantages: better work hours, government-mandated childcare, and most of all, no Americans.”
In the last panel, our American mother sees a French couple enjoying a beverage at an outdoor café and asks, “Who wants to carpool to soccer? Parlez-vous anglais? Art club? Chuck E. Cheese? Bonjour?”
And the French utter, “L’Americaine stupide.”
Should we be taking our cue from Europe? While the intensity levels differ, the magnitude of unemployment is the thrust of their financial system, necessitating an austerity program that led to a recession. At this writing, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Luxembourg’s unemployment is below 6 percent, Denmark’s is at 7.4, the UK at 7.7, Poland at 10.6, Italy at 11.7, Lithuania at 13.3, Ireland at 14.6, Portugal at 17.6, and Spain and Greece at a whopping 26.2 and 27 percent respectively. Portugal, Spain and Greece’s unemployment match the US’s during The Great Depression, and the rule is that for every one person unemployed, three others are affected. Therefore, at 25 percent unemployment, everyone is affected. France’s rate, close to 11 percent, is concentrated at its north and south poles, giving them the “enviable” leisure time.
With unemployment come lifestyle changes, increasing debt, more welfare assistance, food stamps, and increasing taxes for the workers who must now support the mounting needy. The cartoon mother envisions a couple strolling with their infant, without understanding that this leisure is part of a long-term social crisis; neither parent is working. Americans are also experiencing a shorter work week with a record low of under than 30 hours in the low-wage industries, diminished take-home pay, fewer necessities and disappearing luxuries, reduced buying power and more businesses hurting, less productivity, and fewer customers, and on . . . “Mom” may soon not be able to send her children to play soccer or take music lessons.
Mom would also love to see government childcare implemented. Studies show that families have a greater impact than childcare centers do on a child’s development, when mothers are responsive, sensitive, attentive and provide good stimulation during interactions. Families with organized routines, books, play material, and engaging experiences produce children with better social and cognitive skills. Children fare well in childcare centers that provide a supportive environment, but most US childcare centers rank between “poor” and “good.” Be reminded that that we are Americans who do not want our government mandating anything – the more mandates, the scanter the freedoms. “We the People” are citizens; Europeans are subjects. Mom is oblivious to the freedoms she would have to relinquish in order to live as a European. Our capitalist society has flourished where Europe’s has not.
Fascism blossomed in Europe because of the high unemployment, as people seized the promise of improvement if only they could find those responsible for the country’s condition. And who better to blame than the eternal scapegoats? The Jews – who number less than one percent of the world’s population. We can see this materializing here– the higher unemployment rates, no promise of improvement, government spending out of control, increasing government regulations and domination, increased divisiveness and, of course, fueled anti-Semitism.
Control comes in many forms, with the healthcare mandate being only one. Although our Founding Fathers obstructed the federal government from manipulating education standards and curriculum, the Communists found a way. Common Core Standards was created according to a Communist, classless, moneyless social order and provides a way to dominate and indoctrinate schoolchildren without parental interference.
Beginning with first grade, the textbooks are designed to produce a new generation of radicals who abhor the America we knew and work for the New Communist World. Authoritarians begin with education and immerse the children in social engineering that delivers an anti-religious propaganda and promotes an equality that discourages individuality, special talents and interests.
The program was developed by the leftist Achieve, endorsed by two trade groups, and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, along with AT&T Foundation, the Boeing Company, Carnegie Corporation of New York; DuPont, The GE Foundation, IBM Corporation, Intel; JP Morgan Chase Foundation, Microsoft; the Prudential foundation, State Farm Insurance Companies, and allies of George Soros and Peter Lewis: ACORN, ACLU, Center for American Progress, MoveOn.org, and many more. Their goal is a One World Order, with control over students during a 13-hour school day to create the submissive working class of tomorrow.
Islamic revisionism was also introduced to our passive, vulnerable society, as Saudi Arabia is funding the historic revisionism American students. Islamic “scholars” have made Mary into the Muslim Mariam, teaches that Jesus is Palestinian, and Christopher Columbus is the Muslim who discovered America. Students are also being taught to memorize Qur’anic scriptures and how to make prayer rugs.
Mom can forget the soccer games, music lessons, and outings. If more parents don’t wake up to Common Core’s not-so-subtle damage, and contact their state’s Parents against Common Core group, then . . . L’Americaine stupide.
