Worse still, Oliver Stone thinks that the United States gained moral authority from turning over Eastern Europe to brutal dictatorships, rather than from the liberation of Western Europe.But that’s just one sentence and Stone has a million of them. Or dozens at any rate.

The first court-ordered class of FDNY trainees — the oldest and most diverse in history — is flaming out.
So far, 48 have dropped out. They include 23 of 123 court-ordered “priority hires,” mainly blacks and Latinos in their 30s and early 40s who took the FDNY entrance exam in 1999 or 2000 but were passed over.

A FEW WORDS ON RABBI AVI WEISS
In the past I have met with Rabbi Avi Weiss and was impressed by him. Despite his liberalism, he was deeply passionate and engaged in Jewish causes; something that has unfortunately become all too rare among liberal clergy.
I agreed with some of his more liberal views, disagreed with others, but thought that they mattered less than his overall commitment to the Jewish people. That commitment is dead. There is a point at which even a good man begins doing so much evil that whatever good he has done in the past is drowned in it.
Rabbi Avi Weiss’ views have become more radical over the years and he has found enough financial backing to set up a school of left-wing community organizers disguised as a rabbinical institution.
His Yeshivat Chovevei Torah is a factory for turning out Anti-Orthodox and Anti-Jewish left-wing activists. Shmuly Yanklowitz is one of the more rotten examples of a rotten lot. Their goal is to attack and undermine the Orthodox Jewish community through deception. blackmail and manipulation. They are the tools of enemies of the Jewish People like George Soros and funded by them.
Rabbi Avi Weiss now represent everything he once stood against. He has chosen to be used as a weapon against his own people.
Taking all that into account, his complaint in the pages of the Israel Times about the refusal of the Israeli Rabbinate to recognize him is misguided. There is no reason for an Orthodox Rabbinate to recognize a Rabbi who runs a non-Orthodox seminary… while insisting that it’s Orthodox.
The editorial just affirms what everyone who has been paying attention already knew, Rabbi Avi Weiss is no longer an Orthodox Jew. He no doubt envisions himself as Post-Orthodox or Open Orthodox or some equally meaningless label that will allow him to wreck the boundaries that define Orthodox Judaism while still using its historical and traditional credibility as cover.
Rabbi Avi Weiss is no doubt quite familiar with the history of how religions develop splinter movements. His group is no longer Orthodox. It’s split, but refuses to admit it. Its leading Rabbis hold views that contradict Orthodox theology and cheerfully relay them in newspaper columns.
When his seminary’s leading student, who was invited to the White House by Obama, writes leftist claptrap like…
“We have made too many mistakes throughout history, thinking that the Messiah is a person or event… I would like to suggest that we are Moshiach—we are the ones we have been waiting for.
While there are some important things to learn from the Reform movement, I believe that it was a mistake to take messianism out of the liturgy—we repair the world through activism”
… why in the world should the Israeli Rabbinate put any stock in Rabbi Avi Weiss’ religious credibility?
If it can’t put any stock in the Rabbis he makes, how can it put any stock in his conversions?
This is stock liberal non-Orthodox secular theology. The fact that it’s being put out there by the most famous YCT grad, and that drivel like this routinely gets vomited up by YCT grads, makes it rather painfully obvious that Yeshivat Chovevei Torah is non-Orthodox and promotes the toxic charade of dressing up leftist activism as Judaism.
Rabbi Weiss complains that some American Rabbis are whispering bad things about him in the ears of the Israeli Rabbinate. They don’t have to whisper. They can just print out and fax material like this.
That’s not to say that I have a great deal of patience for the endless Cross Currents pieces that talk around the issue, warning that Rabbi Weiss’ people are moving into dangerous territory, without stating the obvious.
The new religion coming out of YCT is a generic liberal Tikkun Olam ideology replacing a traditional Judaism that believes in a messianic redemption, a return to Israel and a rebuilding of the Temple… with a Tikkun Olamish “perfecting of the world” through community organizing for social justice.
It replaces Judaism with Liberalism, it replaces Rabbis with Community Organizers and it replaces G-d with the “Idea of the divine in each of us”.
This isn’t Orthodox Judaism and shouldn’t be treated that way.
If Rabbi Avi Weiss is no longer being treated as an Orthodox Rabbi, it’s because his YCT involvements telegraph the fact that he has opted out of Orthodox Judaism.
Speaking as a Modern Orthodox Jew who was occasionally sympathetic to Rabbi Weiss’ ideas, I have walked out of a synagogue when I found out the “Rabbi” was a YCT grad and I have walked out of a restaurant when I saw a “Tav HaYosher” union certificate inside.
I don’t refer to YCT grads as Rabbis, because they’re not. They’re community organizers culturally appropriating Jewish religious traditions to sell their political agenda.
And this isn’t going to change unless more people take a clear stand. It’s time to stop beating around the bush and letting Rabbi Avi Weiss play the victim. He has to know that there is a clear choice in front of him. He can either stay an Orthodox Rabbi and cut his ties with a left-wing movement that is using his name to pass of its activists as Rabbis… or he can leave, the way that other Orthodox Rabbis have in the past.
That’s his choice and he should be encouraged to make it and stop playing the dishonest game of pretending that a heresy centered around community organizers that rejects Israel, the Temple, the coming of Moshiach and the literal truth of the Torah is Orthodox Judaism.

The whole point of the American system was that people could find a coping strategy that worked for them. That’s why America had such a large and competent middle class.
There is no one single solution. There are different solutions that different people can pursue and embrace. That was the American approach. They never do.

Many former authors and readers of the website have been convicted in terrorism related cases. Those include the other founder of the website Jesse “Younes Abdullah” Morton who was convicted of threatening the creators of South Park and Zachary “Abu Talhah al-Amrikee” Chesser for attempting to join the al Qaeda linked al Shabaab in Somalia. Others affiliated with the website and its owners include Carlos Almonte and Mohamed Hamoud Alessa, both of whom were also convicted of attempting to join al Shabaab, but the former is more famously known for his “Death to all Juice” sign.
Another little known connection between the Revolution Muslim crowd and terror is that it is very likely that Nidal Hasan himself was a reader of the website. Duane Reasoner, a confidant of Nidal Hasan in the months leading up to Ft. Hood, was a fan of Revolution Muslim who had sometimes commented on the website and on the group’s YouTube page. Evidence suggests that Hasan himself also was a registered user of the Revolution Muslim website.
But these are just a few anecdotes. Just how deep were the connections between the Revolution Muslim website and homegrown terrorists and Islamists radicals in the US? A 2010 report concluded that nearly 1/3 of all domestic terror cases in the US at that time had links to al-Khattab and Revolution Muslim.
Eventually Khattab fled the US and landed in Morocco where he stayed for a few years. He eventually came back to the US, enrolled in college, and declared himself a changed man. He even went on CNN to talk about his “former” radicalism. CNN described this new Khattab as a “moderate”.
Except, as we showed here, he was lying. He still was a radical. He still wanted to do things like nuke Israel.
