TIPPING THE SCALES IN ARROGANCE: CHRIS CHRISTIE…THE GOP’S NEXT CRUMMY NOMINEE? TOM BLUMER

http://pjmedia.com/blog/chris-christie-gops-next-crummy-nominee/ Sensible conservatives have had to put up with a lot since Ronald Reagan left the White House — and to be clear, Reagan also had a few very weak moments [1]. But expecting us to get enthusiastic about the sadly realistic prospect of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie becoming the Republican Party’s next presidential […]

JAIME DARENBLUM: ARGENTINA’S BETRAYAL

http://pjmedia.com/blog/argentinas-betrayal/ Last week, Argentina and Iran jointly agreed to establish a “truth commission [1]” that will investigate the 1994 Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) bombing. Imagine if Franklin Roosevelt had partnered with the Japanese to investigate the truth about Pearl Harbor. Or if George W. Bush had partnered with al-Qaeda to investigate the truth about […]

Another Anti-Muhammad Filmmaker Could be Deported to Pakistan to Face an Imminent Death John-Pierre Maeli

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2013/02/another_anti-muhammad_filmmaker_could_be_deported_to_pakistan_to_face_an_imminent_death.html

After being granted asylum in Spain to escape threats to his life, Imram Farasat, might be deported back to Pakistan.

Why would he be deported after being granted asylum? Well it’s all because he had the guts to voice his opinion. More specifically, he created a film on Mohammad titled, “The Innocent Prophet” which goes through Muhammad’s life and reveals the real Muhammad.

Now most of you who are familiar with Islam know the true story of Muhammad, but for many Muslims and non-informed individuals the truth can be revolting to say the least. And that’s what happened to Farasat. The simple act of speaking out against Islam has put Farasat in a dangerous situation.

If he is sent back to Pakistan he will most likely be assaulted or killed by those who don’t take criticism of Islam lightly. Even his attorney, Same Nunberg, fears for his life.

Farasat has, in addition to creating an anti-Muhammad film, also described Islam as “political dictatorship which persecutes and teaches to persecute.” He has also spoken out against such persecution saying that:

“Christians are being persecuted in Islamic countries to the maximum level of suffering and torture and Islam is trying to invade the Western world and kill our values… It is time that citizens of the Western world should stand up and speak the truth against something that is wrong. The Bible teaches us to speak the truth in any situation. And for me the truth is that Islam is a man-made religion which was created in order to govern the world. It has several contradictions in itself. It teaches killing (Jihad), [hatred of] non-Muslims, [discrimination against] women, rule the world at any price, etc.”

The fact that Imram Farasat might be deported back to Pakistan shows the complete lack of concern that the Spanish authorities have for Imram’s security. But then again, most government authorities don’t want to realize the fact that some Muslims can actually be a danger to non-Muslims. Denial is never healthy, especially when it comes to someone’s life.

MY SAY: CHUCK HAGEL’S OPPONENTS

I think that organized Jewish opposition to the nomination of Chuck Hagel is misplaced and misapplied. It particularly peeves me that some of those offended by his remarks on the “Jewish Lobby” or his general opinions on Israel, are the same folks who still flog the notion of a two state (dis)solution which would place jihadists at Israel’s throat. It also peeves me that they do not recognize the poison at the top. The President’s hostility to Israel is on the record and he will set the policy not the Secretary of Defense.

More important than Hagel’s fumbling and actually stupid pronouncements are the cuts the Department of Defense will make in every branch of our military. Last night I attended an excellent briefing sponsored by The National Security Roundtable ( http://nsroundtable.org/) a worthy and informative non partisan organization, on Missile Defense in America and Israel. It was off the record so I respect that request.

The speaker has an impressive record in the issue of defense, and outlined the various aspects and success of strategic anti-missile defenses including Israel’s Iron Dome. He also described and demonstrated in a power point presentation the development of deadly and sophisticated missiles in North Korea, Lebanon, and Iran, and the concomitant installations to detect and give early warnings on potential launching. We also saw videos of actual targeting and destruction of several types of missiles launched from Unite States navy vessels and land based installations.

The point I want to make is that this anti-missile defense system keeps us relatively safe and ahead of the enemy curve…..but the entire mission will face severe cutbacks with “sequestration” and general cuts in defense spending.

Repeat…..the entire anti-missile defense system will face severe cutback with “sequestration” and general cuts in defense spending and we and Israel and all our allies will be more vulnerable to the enemies’ threats.

That, to me is the main issue…not Hagel’s oafish opinions….We have to choose our battles wisely. We have to oppose the president’s intention to hollow out our military. rsk

AMERICA’S FUTURE BELONGS TO ISLAM:PAUL L. WILLIAMS, PHD

DANIEL GREENFIELD: FREELOADERS OR FREE COUNTRY

http://frontpagemag.com/2013/dgreenfield/freeloaders-or-free-country-2/print/ Defeats are never easy to take and yet every defeat is a necessary learning experience. Reading the memoirs of the greatest athletes and generals, you discover that they learned more from their defeats than from their victories because their victories only taught them their strengths while their defeats forced them to confront their weaknesses. FROM AUGUST 2012 MOSHE DANN: ISRAEL POLICY FORUM….A NETWORK OF INTRIGUE

http://frontpagemag.com/2012/moshe-dann/israel-policy-forum-the-network-of-intrigue/
THANKS JANET LEVY FOR THIS REMINDER…..RSK

A recent letter to PM Netanyahu opposing the Levy Report organized by the Israel Policy Forum (IPF) and signed by 40 critics of Jewish communities built in Judea and Samaria (“settlements”) received wide media attention. With perhaps a few exceptions, those who signed the letter did not read the report, since it was only in Hebrew at that time. This was a typical hit-job by a marginal, tiny elite organization that promotes the “two-state solution,” a second or third Arab Palestinian state and evacuating Jews from the area.

Touted as “American Jewish leaders,” the individuals who signed, except for those associated with the Reform Movement, Eric Yoffee and David Saperstein, represent no organizations or constituencies. They are mega-bucks “philanthropists,” very wealthy businessmen like Charles Bronfman, Lester Crown, Marvin Lender, owner of Lender’s Bagels, and Richard Pearlstone, financier and real estate mogul, who bought their way into Jewish communal organizations, Susi Gelman (heiress to the Levi Strauss fortune), Edith Everett who runs a family foundation, some corporate lawyers, a few academics, a former Clinton advisor, and two former US ambassadors to Israel.

IPF was founded in 1993 with PM Rabin’s blessing to support the Oslo Accords and counter AIPAC – and to carry out propaganda campaigns as part of a network of American organizations with a similar purpose, like Americans for Peace Now, and New Israel Fund, and left-wing Israeli NGOs like ACRI, B’Tselem, etc, think tanks like INSS and the Peres Center for Peace.

IPS’ first president was Jack Bendheim, a wealthy businessman (Phibro and PAHC holdings) and philanthropist living in Riverdale, NY with a home and social and business contacts in Israel. Jonathan A. Jacoby, IPF’s founding executive VP, worked for Credit Suisse and UBS and is currently Policy and Campaigns Manager at Oxfam America. NGO-Monitor’s research documents that Oxfam is an anti-Israel organization that supports BDS campaigns.

According to Prof Ofira Seliktar (Divided We Stand) in 1996 the IPF, led by Bendheim, along with billionaire S.Daniel Abraham (SlimFast), and Sara Ehrman (Americans for Peace Now) played a major role in convincing then-President Clinton and Secretary of State Albright to apply more pressure on PM Netanyahu for further withdrawals, halting settlement activity and concessions to Arafat as part of the Wye Agreements.

UN Cuts Ties With Official Tied to False Gaza Tweet By STEWART STOGEL,

http://www.jpost.com/ArtsAndCulture/Arts/Article.aspx?id=302418

De facto firing comes after probe into Kulhood Badawi’s tweeting of photo of dead Palestinian falsely attributed to IDF shelling.

NEW YORK – Kulhood Badawi, a veteran public affairs officer in the Jerusalem branch of the United Nations Office of the Coordinator of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), has been “separated” from the UN, say officials in New York.

The de facto firing, publicly explained as a contract non-renewal, comes shortly after the conclusion of an internal investigation lasting almost a year.

The investigation conducted by the UN Development Program centered on a February 2012 Twitter post containing the photograph of a dead Palestinian girl, who Badawi insisted was killed by the IDF during its shelling of Gaza.

Subsequent investigations revealed that it was in reality an archived Reuters photo originally taken in 2006.

According to Reuters, the photograph was that of a young woman killed as the result of local clashes in Gaza, not as the result of any IDF action.

Badawi, it was later discovered, had been involved in several earlier controversial actions, including a 2006 demonstration in Jerusalem in which she labeled current Defense Minister Ehud Barak a “war criminal.” UN under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs Valerie Amos, while not disputing Badawi¹s actions, publicly questioned whether the world body could be held accountable for “personal” tweets.

As such, she launched the inquiry that Israel’s UN mission charged was a “whitewash,” with Ambassador Ron Prosor repeatedly insisting that Badawi be fired.
