The ADL was a fundamentally flawed organization under Abe Foxman, but at times it occasionally broke ranks with the left on Jewish issues, though not for very long. It did more harm than good, but now it’s going to be marching fully in step with the left.
Replacing Foxman will be Jonathan Greenblatt, a Clinton official who bummed around NGOs during the Bush years and then became Obama’s director of the White House’s Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation.
It’s strange that a top official at a Democratic administration with the worst relations with the Jewish community since Carter is being appointed to head the Anti-Defamation League. Especially at a time when the administration is openly abusing Israel and Jews.
But Greenblatt’s gruesome resume doesn’t end there… as Aaron Klein reported a few years ago.
The newly appointed chief of President Obama’s Social Innovation and Civic Participation Council doubles as the director of a social justice group funded by George Soros.
The organization, the Aspen Institute, works closely with Soros and even was reportedly used by the billionaire in a failed attempt to engineer the defeat of President Bush in the 2004 elections.
Greenblatt also serves as director of the Impact Economy Initiative at the Aspen Institute. Soros has provided significant funding to the Aspen Institute. His Open Society Institute has provided more than $400,000 to the group since 2004.
The choice of Greenblatt is an odd one. He has no obvious background in the Jewish sector. His NGO experience was the usual collection of phony liberal philanthropies, not to mention a really expensive brand of Starbucks water. He’s the kind of guy whose job it is to make people feel good about wasting money on expensive bottled water while convincing them that they’re saving the world.
A man with ties to a Nazi collaborator waging war on Israel and America has been appointed to head the ADL.
Let’s recall that the ADL condemned Soros’ bigotry.
Abraham Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League, called Soros’ comments “absolutely obscene”… “He buys into the stereotype…It’s a simplistic, counterproductive, biased and bigoted perception of what’s out there. It’s blaming the victim for all of Israel’s and the Jewish people’s ills.
- Soros, whose parents really hated Jews, passed down their inheritance of bigotry to their spawn. Soros described his own mother as a “Jewish anti-Semite”.
But now the ADL will be headed by one of Soros’ boys.
Finally let’s recall the adult Soros’ description of how much he enjoyed collaborating with the Nazis in their campaign against the Jews.
“For me, this was the most exciting time of my life.”
Here’s what evil looks like.
During an interview with “60 Minutes” reporter Steve Kroft, Soros was asked about his “happiest year”:
KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson.
Mr. SOROS: Yes. Yes.
KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from the Jews.
Mr. SOROS: Yes. That’s right. Yes.
KROFT: I mean, that’s–that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?
Mr. SOROS: Not–not at all.
And now we’ve gotten to the point where a Nazi collaborator’s crony will run the ADL.
