Just weeks ago, Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel posed for pictures with anguished Syrian refugees and pledged to take in as many as 500,000 per year. But as Fox News reported, “uneasy critics inside the European power fear the huge influx could not only skew the nation’s demographics in a hurry, but could also include terrorists hiding among the war weary masses…ISIS has already said it planted jihadist fighters among the refugees, and some in Germany wonder why the terrorist army’s claims are not being taken more seriously.”
Now in a complete reversal, Germany has announced it is immediately introducing border controls in the south of the country, as announced Sunday by Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière.
Vox.com reports the government of Chancellor Angela Merkel claimed “urgent security reasons.”

Vox.Com says, “the border controls are supposed to curb the influx of migrants. Currently, tens of thousands of refugees per day find their way to Germany, many of them from civil-war-torn Syria.
On Saturday alone, 12,000 new refugees arrived in the Bavarian capital Munich. Germany expects a total of up to 800,000 refugees this year.
Until recently, Germany had granted these refugees free travel. Now, this no longer applies, and entering Germany is supposed to be possible with valid travel documents only.
The federal police are now sending all available police officers to Bavaria to close the borders. There are even considerations to use German soldiers to secure the borders. The Deutsche Bahn, Germany’s railway company, closed service between Austria and Germany for 12 hours Sunday at the government’s request.”
We wrote here about the dangers of offering free benefits to any and all. Of course people will take you up on the offer – although not if the food isn’t to their liking, as these “starving refugees” proved when they refused Red Cross food in Macedonia because it was not “halal.”
Just remember, our own dear leader has pledged to take in at least 10,000 Syrians in the coming year.
And as Breitbart reports, “in 2013 alone, 117,423 migrants from Muslim-majority countries were permanently resettled within the United States- having been given lawful permanent resident status. Additionally in 2013, the United States voluntarily admitted an extra 122,921 temporary migrants from Muslim countries as foreign students and foreign workers as well as 39,932 refugees and asylees from Muslim countries.
Thus, twelve years after the September 11th hijackers were invited into the country on temporary visas, the U.S. decided to admit 280,276 migrants from Muslim countries within a single fiscal year.
To put these numbers into perspective, this means that every year the U.S. admits a number of Muslim migrants larger in size than the entire population of Des Moines, Iowa; Lincoln, Nebraska; or Dayton, Ohio.”
That’s a comforting thought, isn’t it?
