Order of the Reich President for the Protection of People and State
On the basis of Article 48 paragraph 2 of the Constitution of the German Reich, the following is ordered in defense against Communist state-endangering acts of violence:
§ 1. Articles 114, 115, 117, 118, 123, 124 and 153 of the Constitution of the German Reich are suspended until further notice. It is therefore permissible to restrict the rights of personal freedom [habeas corpus], freedom of (opinion) expression, including the freedom of the press, the freedom to organize and assemble, the privacy of postal, telegraphic and telephonic communications. Warrants for House searches, orders for confiscations as well as restrictions on property, are also permissible beyond the legal limits otherwise prescribed.
On the night of February 27, 1933 a fire, the origins of which were reported to be arson, broke out in the Reichstag, destroying the building. Chancellor Adolf Hitler pressed Germany’s President Paul von Hindenburg to issue the above decree, which, as my readers can discern, pretty well snuffed out civil liberties for Germans – and gave Hitler absolute power.
What is noteworthy is that the Nazis blamed the communists for setting the fire. That assertion remains unsubstantiated and the question as to who actually did set it is unanswered. There was speculation that the Nazis actually lit the blaze and pinned the destruction on the communists for political traction. That this event, accompanied by Hindenburg’s decree, was a landmark in World History is inarguable. 55 million people died in World War II.
We still don’t know who burned the Reichstag.
We are witnessing some rather serious retaliatory military operations, resulting from a reported Bashar al Assad-sanctioned Sarin gas attack against civilians in Syria. The video images of convulsing human beings on the pavement are terribly disturbing.
The American press corps, the Congressional Democrats, and the RINO Republicans (led by the likes of John McCain and Lindsey Graham) have suddenly stopped their relentless criticism of the Trump Administration, reversed course by 180 degrees, and are now throwing their support behind the President’s decision to launch a missile strike on a Syrian airbase – from which we are to believe the Sarin gas attack originated.
A very few voices, including Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, are strongly implying that such a military assault without Congressional approval is not within the President’s Constitutional powers – given that there was and is no imminent threat posed to the national security of the United States by Bashar al Assad’s military forces in Syria.
The Russians are backing Assad. Mr. Trump, who was until recently strongly against going to war in Syria, has suddenly reversed field. He has chosen a Secretary of Defense in James Mattis, who co-authored the win-their-hearts-and-minds COIN Doctrine with General David Petraeus – the implementation of which has demonstrably cost thousands of American lives and limbs in Iraq and Afghanistan.
NEWS FLASH: Muslims doing cruel and barbaric things to other Muslims is nothing new in the World of Islam. They’ve been killing and maiming each other in the most horrible ways imaginable since the birth of Islam. Bashar al Assad is not a good guy. He is another despot. There are no good guys in the Muslim Middle East.
I’m not in any way implying, as the American press corps and the Democrats have relentlessly done until yesterday, that Donald Trump is comparable to Adolf Hitler. Interestingly, that idea has mysteriously and suddenly disappeared from the American political left’s rhetoric.
However, with things now heating up between Russia and the United States over Mr. Assad’s increasingly shaky tenure as Syria’s President, I would like to ask three questions:
- How do we know that it was Bashar al Assad who gassed the Syrian people and that it was not agents provocateur of the revolutionary jihad (currently known as ISIS), coincidentally trying to overthrow Assad, who committed the gas attack?
- What and where is the supporting evidence to show that it was indeed Assad who ordered and implemented the gas attack?
- How does Bashar al Assad pose an imminent threat to the safety and security of the United States?
