The South African Parliament passed a measure in a landslide vote to confiscate farmland owned by whites without compensation.

A similar program instituted in neighboring Zimbabwe—once known as Rhodesia—resulted in hundreds of white farmers being slaughtered and the agricultural sector of the economy collapsing.

The fate of white farmers will be dependent on the actions of South Africa’s new president, Cyril Ramaphosa, a big supporter of expropriation without compensation, who said in 2016 that he was “not calling for the slaughter of white people—at least for now.”

How comforting.

The country’s constitution is now likely to be amended to allow for the confiscation of white-owned land without compensation, following a motion brought by radical Marxist opposition leader Julius Malema.

It passed by 241 votes for to 83 against after a vote on Tuesday, and the policy was a key factor in new president Cyril Ramaphosa’s platform after he took over from Jacob Zuma in February.

Mr Malema said the time for ‘reconciliation is over’. ‘Now is the time for justice,’ News24 reported.

‘We must ensure that we restore the dignity of our people without compensating the criminals who stole our land.’

Well, the ancestors of the “criminals,” anyway. The Marxist dimwit can’t really believe that people who have tilled the land for generations are actually criminals, can he?

A 2017 South African government audit found white people owned 72 per cent of farmland.

Rural affairs minister for the ruling African National Congress party said ‘The ANC unequivocally supports the principle of land expropriation without compensation’.

‘There is no doubt about it, land shall be expropriated without compensation.’

Say what you want to about Nelson Mandela, but he is spinning in his grave over this. Mandela tried to prevent what happened in Rhodesia in the 1980s when a radical government ordered the expropriation of white land. Bloodshed, chaos, and eventually, the virtual destruction of agriculture is still depressing the Zimbabwean economy today.

Freedom Front Plus party leader Pieter Groenewald said the decision to strip white farmers of their land would cause ‘unforeseen consequences that is not in the interest of South Africa’.

The deputy chief executive of civil rights group Afriforum said the motion was a violation of agreements made at the end of apartheid.

‘This motion is based on a distorted image of the past,’ Ernst Roets said.

‘The term “expropriation without compensation” is a form of semantic fraud. It is nothing more than racist theft.’

I don’t see how bloodshed can be avoided. Do the commies and ANC nutcases really believe these farmers are going to give up without a fight? That land the majority is now eager to seize is land that has been in the same family for, in some cases, nearly 400 years.

Yes, it’s “racist theft.” This skewed and twisted concept of “justice” sounds a lot like the justice meted out in Orwell’s Animal Farm, where “all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”
