The Democrat Socialist Party of Dhimmis By Victor Sharpe
Let me first explain what a dhimmi is. It is an Arabic noun referring to a non-Muslim who becomes subject to Islamic servitude. Dhimmitude is the condition that dhimmis endure under such Islamic power and influence.
Back in 2006 I first wrote an article titled, Dhimmitude for Dummies, which was published in a conservative website. In it I attempted to warn about the terrible danger posed from stealth Islamic jihad infiltrating the Western world, threatening Judeo-Christian civilization and, in particular, menacing our very own United States of America.
Several years earlier, on that terrible day we know as 9/11, Islamic fanatics in the name of Allah destroyed the World Trade Center and struck the Pentagon using hi-jacked passenger planes as aerial bombs. They failed in their attempt to destroy the White House using yet another hi-jacked plane. All three aircraft were filled with doomed men, women and children.
This atrocity was a violent and vengeful act that was celebrated by millions of Muslims around the world. Who can forget the TV pictures of Palestinian Arabs handing out candies as they rejoiced while watching the iconic twin towers falling and thousands dying in agony.
The atrocious Islamic ‘success’ on 9/11 became a rallying war cry for untold millions of Muslims who saw in their fevered minds – and still do – an Islamic victory over a vanquished United States of America. For them it was a 21st century revenge by resurgent Islam over the so-called ‘infidels’ whose ancestors centuries earlier had beaten back the many previous Islamic invasions by Muslim hordes.
Let me briefly recap Islam’s dark history of invasion and forced conversion along with its defeats.
In 732, Charles Martel led his Frankish forces at Tours to victory against an Islamic invasion of France, which nearly had destroyed Christian Europe. Similarly, Islam was ousted from Spain in 1492 after an occupation of the Iberian Peninsula by Muslims for hundreds of years.
Again, Islamic power was ended when heavy Turkish galleys were defeated by Venetian galleasses at the great naval battle of Lepanto in 1571. And the Muslim Ottoman power, which at its height again threatened Europe, was barely turned back at the gates of Vienna on September 11, 1683 by a coalition of European armies. Note the date; 9/11.
These were major defeats by Europeans of Islamic attempts of conquest and subjugation set against a history of victorious Muslim invasions and conquests that has been the hallmark of Islam since its 7th century founding.
But what of the peoples and nations who fell under Islamic occupation? For them the story was one of forced conversions to Islam, slavery, death, and the Islamic institution of dhimmitude.
Again, this is the word that describes the parlous state of those who refused to convert to Islam and became the subjugated non-Muslims forced to accept a humiliating subordination to Islamic conquest. These peoples and populations were known as dhimmis, and if such a status was not humiliating enough, a special tax or tribute, called the jizya, was imposed upon them and upon all dhimmis if they wished to avoid death.
Dhimmitude is also the direct outcome of jihad, which is the conquest of non-Islamic territory mandated as a spiritual obligation upon every individual Muslim and Muslim nation.
From its beginnings in the seventh century, Islam spread through violent conquest of non-Muslim lands. In the eighth century, a formal set of rules to govern relationships between Muslims and vanquished non-Muslims was created. These rules were based uponjihad, which established how the Muslims would treat the non-Muslims in terms of their forced submission to Islam and Sharia law.
Jihad can be pursued through force or by other means such as propaganda, infiltration or subversion against the perceived enemy. The so-called enemies of Islam are those who oppose the establishment of Islamic Sharia law or its spread, its mission, or its sovereignty over them and their land. The building of mosques on or near the site of an Islamic victory against non-Muslims is a tangible expression of Islamic triumphalism. Remember the failed Muslim attempt to build a giant triumphal mosque close to the site of the destroyed World Trade Center?
You see Islamic triumphalism displayed in Israel’s capital, Jerusalem, where the Al Aksa and Dome of the Rock mosques were deliberately built upon the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism, and where the two ancient Jewish Temples stood. The great Haggai Sophia church in Constantinople was converted into a mosque when the Ottoman Turks destroyed the city, renaming it Istanbul. Similarly, the Greek Catholic cathedral in Nicosia, Cyprus, was converted into a mosque when the Turks invaded northern Cyprus in 1974. Turkey still remains in illegal occupation. These are just three examples of the thousands of churches, synagogues and Hindu temples converted into mosques or destroyed over the centuries by victorious and triumphalist Islam.
Propaganda and subversion are the very means now being employed against the West and Judeo-Christian civilization. Muslims have shown themselves to be brilliantly adept at manipulating the gullible and uninformed Western mainstream media and politicians in pursuit of their aims of world domination.
I titled this article – The Democrat Socialist Party of Dhimmis – and with very few exceptions the once respected Democrat Party has fallen into both regressive socialism and dhimmitude, with the arch dhimmi, Nancy Pelosi, allowing the anti-Semitic extremist and hijab wearing, Democrat Rep. of Minnesota, Ilhan Omar, to actually be placed on the Foreign Affairs Committee. This was not, as Democrats claim, an expression of American diversity. No, this is a woman who reeks of Koranic hatred towards Jews and Christians and towards all non-Muslims. Indeed, according to a recent report in the NYT, after the September 11, 2001 Islamic atrocity against America, the hate-filled Omar decided to wear the hijab as an open declaration of her Muslim supremacist identity over all other loyalties. And there she sits in Congress.
As Radio Host, E.W. Jackson recently wrote; “The end goal of Islam is to force all people to live under a worldwide Islamic Caliphate. Any honest Muslim will admit that, but under the doctrine of taqiyya, lying to advance the cause of Islam is virtuous.”
Muslims have the right to practice their religion in the private sphere. However, allowing Sharia Law into our legal and political system, as the Dhimmi Democrats have now done by appointing the subversive Rep. Ilhan Omar to one of our most important Congressional Committees, should be seen as a matter of immense peril to the survival of our Constitutional Republic.
As I wrote in Dhimmitude for Dummies, the existential Islamic threats to Europe hundreds of years ago were defeated decisively in France at Tours, in Sicily, in Iberia (Spain and Portugal), at Lepanto, and at Vienna. But without a similarly decisive defeat of present day Islamist aggression and infiltration, Americans may all be faced, sooner than not, with what Western Europe is already facing; Islamic violence, Sharia law and wretched and increasing subservience as dhimmis.
Better, therefore, for all to be aware of the facts and not also be dummies.
