Tucker Carlson looks at the horrors in Pelosi’s own district of San Francisco. By Andrea Widburg
Over the course of this week, on every episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight, Tucker has looked at one aspect of the insanity that is San Francisco. Once one of America’s greatest and most beautiful cities, it is now simultaneously one of its most expensive and its most decayed and dangerous. As a native San Franciscan, I find it painful to watch my natal city become a crazed and unlivable one.
Thursday’s episode was especially poignant, because it interviewed an old friend of mine going back to our high school days, Nyna Armstrong. Nyna is a brilliant woman, a hard worker, and a committed conservative. She’s also raised two wonderful daughters, both of whom serve this country. She is the kind of person that helps make America and American cities great.
Because of her job, Nyna is forced to live in the Bay Area. And because of the cost of living in the Bay Area, she’s chosen to live on a boat. It’s a nice boat, but it’s still not a house. Living there, however, is affordable and it keeps Nyna far from the city’s increasingly crazy, violent, and drug-addled residents.

Tucker will conclude the series by focusing on the District Attorney that San Franciscans, acting with open eyes, elected in November 2019. Chesa Boudin is the child of two Weather Underground members who went to prison for their role in the infamous 1981 Brinks’s armored car robbery that left three dead. His father is still in prison. His mother, who was released in 2003, is . . . wait for it . . . a professor at Columbia University, and is co-director and co-founder of its “Center for Justice.”
Who raised 39-year-old Chesa during the years his parents were in prison? Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, themselves violent members of the Weather Underground. This is the same Bill Ayers who may well have ghost-written Obama’s Dreams From My Father, and who was definitely one of Obama’s political godfathers in Chicago. Ayers and Dohrn are both in academia, helping to churn out future Leftists of America.
Chesa is what the Leftists who leave Ayers’ and Dohrn’s classrooms will look like. Now that he is San Francisco’s District Attorney, Chesa has promised to stop prosecuting all quality of life crimes. That is, people are free to live on the streets, urinate and defecate on the streets, sell and use drugs on the streets, engage in petty crime on the streets, and generally drive people like Nyna to live on the water rather than to share the streets with the people whom Chesa protects. Worse, by protecting, Chesa turns San Francisco into a haven for ever greater numbers of dysfunctional, mentally ill, drug-addicted, criminally-inclined individuals.
Herb Caen, the great San Francisco chronicler, used to call San Francisco “the city that knows how.” It no longer knows how. Nancy Pelosi’s district is turning itself into an unlivable dystopia.
