Taylor Swift is Time’s Person of the Year Just in Time for 2024 Election Tim Young (???!!!)
There’s more to Taylor Swift being named Time’s “Person of the Year” than what it looks like on its face – and it’s pretty obvious.
Just a casual look at who has been given the title over the past 10 years should make your eyebrows raise a bit on this year’s choice – Volodymyr Zelensky, Elon Musk before buying Twitter/X, Joe Biden, Greta Thunberg, leftist journalists labeled “The Guardians,” women who started #MeToo and Trump (with the M in Time put over his head to make it look like devil horns). All of those names are directly tied to their politics and political movements – all, except for Taylor Swift.
What this should tell you is simple, they’re ramping up her political involvement. The first national political stance Swift took was against Sen. Marsha Blackburn in 2018. In an Instagram post, Swift stated that she would vote against Blackburn for all the typical uninformed liberal talking points: LGBT nonsense, systemic racism and “violence against women.” And fortunately, the voters of Tennessee didn’t listen.
But that was all before the June 2022 overturning of Roe v. Wade and vaccines, which have become two critical issues for the left, the former may have even stopped the “red wave” we were promised.
It also seems almost too convenient that Swift’s current love interest, Travis Kelce is Pfizer’s current national mascot for COVID vaccines – and their relationship is pushed nonstop during NFL games. It’s a love story that could only be written by some of the biggest sponsorships in the world – and put on a national stage every Sunday, Thursday, Monday and sports newscasts. But please don’t listen to me, I’m just one of those crazy conspiracy theorists.
This election cycle, Democrats know they’re going to have to pull out all the stops – and the combination of all of their current front-facing celebrities aren’t cutting it – so it’s time to bring in the big guns. Knowing that Swift is one of the most successful performers in the world, with a legitimate cult-like following is something that the left isn’t going to pass up using – so while her love interest is pushing the jab, it’s obvious that she’ll be out pushing abortion – and at the very least, the DINK (dual income, no kids) lifestyle this election season.
While conservatives continue their push for traditional family values, life, and fiscal responsibility – who better to have on the left than Swift, whose children’s songs for adults have become anthems for single, middle-aged cat women with failed relationships – because girl power and whatnot.
Who better to flaunt in front of a nation in financial and foreign policy crisis than the shiniest, most distracting object for millions – and it’s proven to work as hundreds of thousands of non-NFL fans tune in to games they don’t care to understand and have no vested interest in other than catching the occasional glimpse of her high fiving someone in box seats.
I don’t dislike Swift or her success – but it’s silly for us to think there wasn’t more motivation behind her being a currently non-political person getting named Time’s Person of the Year. Her policy push is coming – and if conservatives don’t get ready for it and have a reasonable stance to shut down the shiny object in the room, we’re going to lose in November.
Consider this your fair warning – because it’s coming, and it’ll be more than just cookies this time. When you have someone so popular with her fans that she can re-record all of her albums and sell the exact same songs to them multiple times – just know that those same people will ignorantly ingest her leftist talking points, even if those points are the same illogical ones that have been beaten into the ground for years.
