How ambitious is this whole attempt to exploit the manufactured crisis with a massive government crackdown on political dissent?
Here’s an NPR interview with Cynthia Miller-Idriss an “expert” on “extremism”.
But we also know that that’s always a Band-Aid solution, that by the time you get to the need to infiltrate groups or deplatform people who are spreading mass amounts of disinformation, you’re already just so far down the pipeline that you’re now talking about deradicalization instead of actual prevention. So this has to be something that involves, you know, Health and Human Services. It has to involve the Department of Education.

We got past the point where we’re pretending otherwise. Now let’s talk about how the DOE and HHS can work on this.
It’s the kind of thing that we invest in as a country or through foundations and foreign ministries overseas in fragile democracies to help the public understand what manipulation looks like and how they could be persuaded by it, but we haven’t done it in our own country, and I think that’s going to have to change.
The ruling class can occupy America the way they have D.C. The question is how well will Tiananmen Square 2.0 work when you’ve got soldiers sleeping on the floor in parking garages before being trotted out for a photo op with “Dr. Jill”.
On Twitter, Miller-Idriss suggested, “coordination with a broader range of agencies and experts from across the education and health sectors in addition to intelligence and security services”.
At Politico, she argued, “We need strategies that draw not only from the world of counterterrorism but also from social work, education and public health. We need large-scale, systemic investments in research and interventions to interrupt radicalization and build offramps from extremist groups and ideologies, including public media literacy education to help people recognize disinformation and understand their own susceptibility to persuasive extremist rhetoric and tactics.”
What we’re talking about is massive government intervention in people’s lives, surveillance of their activities, and huge propaganda campaigns involving much of the government in influencing what people believe.
Meanwhile, who is Cynthia Miller-Idriss? She was married to Shamil Idriss in an Islamic ceremony performed by Imam Rauf.
If that name sounds familiar, it should. He was the imam of the Ground Zero Mosque who said America had more blood on its hands than Al Qaeda.
Shamil Idriss heads the Search for Common Ground, which merged together with Soliya, which used to be funded by the Qatar Foundation International and the Al Waleed bin Talal Foundation. QFI is the American arm of the Qatari Foundation, itself an arm of Qatar’s rulers. Qatar is an Islamic terror state whose rulers have ties to Al Qaeda and openly support the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. And the Foundation has some very ugly connections.
However, while the American universities are able to preserve some freedom of thought, other QF-backed schools in Doha enforce a rigid ideological program. QF schools and mosques often host the most virulently radical Islamist preachers, including one who referred to the 9/11 attacks as a “comedy film,” another who said that Jews bake Passover matzoh with human blood (“believing that this brings them close to their false god”)
