As the majority-European-minority-African experiment that made America disappears into a Third World maelstrom of population-replacement and culture-eradication, the question, as we approach 2016, is whether there remains enough patriotism — love of country that is also openly declarable — to try to save it.
There is, alas, little good news. Yes, Trump, the man with the mouth who has at least blurted out the all-important message about borders, illegal aliens and sovereignty, has been surging on that message. This is evidence of rebellion in the land, and rebellion is good. It comes from a vestigial survival instinct; also from the bitter life experience that the GOP Establishment is a serial abuser of good conservatives and always will be.
Still, we have yet to hear Trump “clarify” his position on amnesty, which he appears to favor.
Now what? It is small solace that the government zealots directing the fatal assault by demographic-tsunami on the US citizenry will inevitably be swamped and washed away themselves. It is no solace that the men who engineered this ultimate act of American betrayal are dead and buried. Indeed, it is to the continual debasement of patriotism that the most prominent among them, including the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, are celebrated and “lionized” to this day.
In 1965, 33-year-old Senate Immigration Subcommittee Chairman Kennedy said many things to ensure the passage of the immigration act that did more than anything else to eliminate our chances of holding onto, let alone rejuvenating, our already subverted constitutional republic. The 1965 act was a turning point because it ended the limited pool of mainly European immigration (largely from Germany, Ireland and Great Britain, whose immigration slots often went unusued), and began what has become an ever-growing Third World wave, washing away all remaining, piddly, little “melting pots.” It is now the case that when candidates run democratically for U.S. offices, they must contend with veritable world bodies with political traditions vastly different from our own — for instance, the Central American bloc that increasingly makes up the citizenry of Virginia. This is no way to keep a republic.
It does not seem to be the case that all, or even many of the 1965 bill’s supporters understood any of this. According to a 1995 report on by the Center for Immigration Studies, the same year Peter Brimelow’s seminal work, Alien Nation, came out, “Essentially, the immigration bill was mainly seen as an extension of the civil rights movement, and a symbolic one at that, expected to bring few changes in its wake.”
This is astonishing. It is almost hard to believe at first, at least before figuring on the vanity and self-importance of legislators seeking purely symbolic badges that attest to their own utopian goodness — which is no goodness at all.
Of course, they had speeches like this one from Ted Kennedy to listen to:
“First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same … Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset … Contrary to the charges in some quarters, [the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia … In the final analysis, the ethnic pattern of immigration under the proposed measure is not expected to change as sharply as the critics seem to think.”
Not one of Kennedy’s sentence is true. For starters, the US Census Bureau projects that 1.24 million immigrants will, as Kennedy put it, “flood” our cities in 2015. The American “ethnic mix” was long ago completely “upset.” “Inundation” has indeed created across the country needy if not also dangerous enclaves of the “most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia.”
Kennedy further repeated:
“The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.” (U.S. Senate, Subcommittee on Immigration and Naturalization of the Committee on the Judiciary, Washington, D.C., Feb. 10, 1965. pp. 1-3.)
More rubbish. And just ask Sen. Jeff Sessons about all of the American workers who have, yes, lost their jobs.
Still, the 1965 legislation was not written in stone. Later Congresses could certainly have sought changes to safeguard the United States from internal demographic transformation. But they … face it, we — We, the People — didn’t want to. Or, those who might have wanted to were silenced, cowed, by the Establishment Elites on the Left and the Right, committed either to visions of the globalist “world of tomorrow” or cheap labor, or both. The goal — the duty — of perpetuating the English-speaking, limited-government, liberty-based, majority-European nation that we were was successfully re-educated out of the mind and even the heart of the English-speaking, limited government, majority-European Body Politic. Our survival as an American nation became a colossal act of “racism.”
And here we are.
To ac-centuate the positive, as the songwriter said, there are some healthy stirrings. We see Ann Coulter’s tour de force, Adios, America, topping the bestseller charts. We see outlets such as Breitbart News, Drudge Report reporting the hell out of immigration-run-amok nightmares. We see viral interest in Ann Corcoran’s indispensable blog, Refugee Resettlement Watch. And, most important, we see that Trump’s message of survival as a nation with borders, even if he, himself, is not the messenger, is political gold and dynamite.
Either this is the stuff of an honest-to-goodness Take Back America movement, or it is just so much twitching.
