Dear Kamala, We Want To Go Back. And So Should Everyone Else

https://issuesinsights.com/2024/09/09/dear-kamala-we-want-to-go-back-and-so-should-everyone-else/

At every rally, without fail, Vice President Kamala Harris gets the crowd to start chanting “we’re not going back!”

“Well, look,” she said in Pennsylvania last month, “America has tried those failed policies before, and we are not going back! We are not going back! Not going back!”

Well, look, Kamala, we want to go back! And we fervently hope and pray that most Americans do as well. And that they vote that way in November.

We want to go back to a time before Joe Biden and Kamala Harris wrecked the economy, before they unleashed the inflation monster, before they threw open the border, let criminals run free, and exuded weakness abroad.

In other words, we want to go back to a time when a tax-cutting, pro-growth, anti-regulation, strong defense president was in the White House and America was prosperous and the world at peace.

What we don’t want is to go forward with the Biden-Harris disaster, which is what Kamala Harris and Tim Walz will give us, good and hard.

So, as a reader service, we’ve gathered a brief sampling of reasons why the public should join us in desperately wanting to go back to the “failed policies” we had under Trump, and not continue with the “leadership” we’ve seen under Biden-Harris. (Readers are invited to add to this list using the comment section below.)

Dear American Jews who vote Democrat Diane Bederman

If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.  Sun Tzu: The Art of War

It is narrated in the hadith that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

“The Hour will not begin until you fight the Jews, until a Jew will hide behind a rock or a tree, and the rock or tree will say: ‘O Muslim, O slave of Allah, here is a Jew behind me; come and kill him – except the gharqad (a kind of thorny tree).’

We have been told by Islam that we are to be made extinct. Yet, you vote for the Democrats who are proud of their Hamas Squad. Why? Walz has told you his views on Israel and the war. “We can’t allow what’s happened in Gaza to happen. The Palestinian people have every right to life and liberty themselves. We need to continue to put the leverage on to make sure we move towards a two-state solution.” Walz complimented anti-Israel protesters.

We are approaching October 7. A day in infamy. Barbaric Muslims invaded Israel during a ceasefire and mutilated and murdered men, women, children, babies. The worst attack on Jews since the Shoah. And within days, the event was denied, people shared rachmunus(pity) for Gazans after Israel retaliated. Jewish organizations like Jewish Voice for Peace, IfNotNow, and J Street stood with the Gazans. What did you do? And following the discovery of six hostages murdered in Gaza, Jewish Voice for Peace described Israel’s hostage-rescue operation earlier in the day as part of an ongoing “genocide” in Gaza.

Seems many Jews want to be “included” rather than respected.

Liz Peek: Sorry, Goldman Sachs — Trump will be better for the economy

https://thehill.com/opinion/finance/4864694-goldman-sachs-trump-economy-harris

Democrats and their media allies are celebrating a report from Goldman Sachs concluding that the economy would be worse off under a second Trump administration than under Kamala Harris.

Given that voters consistently rate Donald Trump more highly than Harris on their respective handling of the economy, this was a breakthrough for the left. Never mind that the much-hyped report concluded that the election of Harris and a Democratic “sweep” would result in only a “very slight boost” to 2025 GDP. Or that the reasons for the Harris edge are unpalatable, unsustainable and, essentially, idiotic.

Sorry, Goldman Sachs, but any leader who has specialized in increasing regulations, plans to significantly hike taxes, routinely bashes Big Business for profiteering and wants to break up America’s leading companies, like Google, can possibly foster a positive environment for growth.

The Goldman Sachs analysts argue that Trump’s tariffs on imported goodswill raise costs to consumers, which could “help spur an economic slowdown” and “likely cost the gross domestic product about 0.5 percent in growth, a negative headwind that would persist throughout 2025.” So, one year’s minor impact. (Not to mention that 60 percent of U.S. CEOs in a recent survey think a recession is imminent, if not already underway.)

Meanwhile, the folks at Goldman Sachs see Trump as likely to oversee a slowdown in illegal immigration. To them, this means lower job growth. “Under a President Harris, job growth would be 10,000 a month higher than if Trump wins with a divided government and 30,000 higher if the GOP controls the White House and both chambers of Congress.”

I have written in the past about the Biden-Harris economy teetering on a wobbly foundation of excessive federal spending and illegal immigration. Astonishingly, the Goldman Sachs analysts propose that the U.S. cannot grow satisfactorily unless the migrant floodgates remain open. This is extremely odd, given that our country had been managing quite well for years before Biden and Harris threw the floodgates open.

Walz heads to PA where his staff tells media members not to ‘disrupt’ his photo op with pesky accountability questions By Olivia Murray

Another presidential election year, and another campaign to shield the Democrat ticket from the media’s cameras and microphones because their nominees are too incompetent to be trusted ad lib; all this is of course aided and abetted by a complicit media. But, after Joe Biden’s performance over the last four years, a humiliating reflection on Democrats, I’d say it’s par for the course. Here’s the story, from an item at Fox News:

A local Pennsylvania journalist revealed how reporters were not allowed to ask Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz questions during a campaign event in Lancaster County on Wednesday.

While Walz spoke with volunteers at the office, WPMT FOX43 reporter Alyssa Kratz wrote in a Facebook post how the campaign would not let the press speak with him.

‘Gov. Tim Walz speaking to people calling into Lancaster County Democratic Committee field office. His daughter Hope is with him. Spoke to supporters here for about 6 or 7 minutes. Walz is not taking questions from the media while here. We were also not allowed to put microphones up by Gov. Walz while he was speaking,’ Kratz wrote.

She added, ‘One reporter tried shouting a question and we were told to ‘not disrupt the program.’

The 2024 Democrat Presidential Ticket that was Twenty Years in the Making The carnage Barack Obama left behind over the past 20 years put Donald Trump in the White House and created today’s Harris-Walz debacle. It’s a mystery as to why Democrats still worship the guy.By Richard Truesdell and Keith Lehmann

https://amgreatness.com/2024/09/06/the-2024-democrat-presidential-ticket-that-was-twenty-years-in-the-making/

The Democrat Party has completely sabotaged itself by running the absolute worst ticket that could have been chosen against its rival. The vapid empty-pantsuit Kamala Harris teamed with military record fabricator and outright freak Tim Walz is a recipe for electoral disaster against the formidable Donald Trump and J.D. Vance.

Why did Democrats nullify the choice of 14 million primary voters and install Kamala Harris as the presidential nominee instead of holding an open convention primary? Were there no other contenders aside from the one that is uniquely incapable of facing Donald Trump? Why are Democrats and the media trying so hard to hide the Harris-Walz policy platform by refusing unscripted interviews and press conferences?

We all know the answers to the above questions, yet it might be useful to look at how we got to this place. It was largely due to a single person who promised to “fundamentally transform the United States of America.”

When Junior Senator from Illinois Barack Obama was introduced to the nation at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, he was completely unknown to most Americans and, in fact, to most Democrats. His keynote address at the convention catapulted him into stardom among Democrats and began his upward rise within party ranks.

Having a decent senatorial record and no controversial baggage, Obama would eventually run for president as the “Hope and Change” candidate to appeal to voters exhausted from the two terms of George W. Bush, especially in the aftermath of the 2008 economic meltdown.

With the November Election Looming, Biden Officials Are Suddenly Condemning Hamas We need a decisive and pro-Israel president with an America First approach to U.S. national security to restore American leadership and global peace and stability. We need Donald Trump. Fred Fleitz

https://amgreatness.com/2024/09/06/with-the-november-election-looming-biden-officials-are-suddenly-condemning-hamas/

This week, 11 months after the horrific Hamas terrorist attack against Israel on October 7, 2023, the Biden administration announced indictments against Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and five other Hamas officials for their “central roles in planning, supporting, and perpetrating the terrorist atrocities that Hamas committed in Israel,” which the Justice Department said represented “the culmination of Hamas’s decades-long campaign of terrorism and violence against Israel and its allies.”

The Biden administration claims this action was a sign that it will ensure Hamas leaders “will pay for their crimes.” But it is absurd to indict Hamas leaders for the worst attack against the Jewish people that occurred 11 months after this attack occurred. Moreover, these indictments are pointless not because the accused are in Gaza and will never be brought to the U.S. for trial but because three of them are dead.

Attorney General Merrick Garland made this look worse when he said in announcing the indictments, “These actions will not be our last,”—indicating that additional indictments are likely against the Hamas killers after more delays.

One might attribute the delayed indictments to the Biden administration’s incompetence. I believe it is likely that Biden officials slow-walked the indictments because they did not want to alienate Hamas leaders while they tried to negotiate a cease-fire agreement that they expected Hamas to support. The cease-fire agreement promoted by the Biden-Harris administration would require Israel to leave Gaza without defeating Hamas. It would leave Hamas intact and able to regain control of Gaza and use this region to stage more deadly attacks against Israel.

The cease-fire talks have been stalemated because although Israel has made significant concessions to get a cease-fire and free hostages held by Hamas, it rightly refuses to agree to such terms.

The indictments suggest that because of the upcoming presidential election and anger over Hamas’s recent execution of six hostages, including American Hersh Goldberg-Polin, the Biden-Harris administration is taking a different approach to the Israel/Hamas War. It now wants to be seen as acting tough against Hamas.

White House Press spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre made a related comment this week when she said in response to the killing of the six hostages, “Make no mistake, Hamas leaders will pay for these crimes.” Such a remark calling on Hamas leaders to be punished was almost unprecedented by a Biden official who usually only criticizes Israel and calls on it to make more concessions to Hamas to get a cease-fire agreement.

Daniel J. Flynn Kennedys Gonna Kennedy In endorsing Donald Trump, RFK, Jr., is following a long family tradition of opposing Democrats when their disgust with the party overwhelms their loyalty to it.

https://www.city-journal.org/article/the-historical-precedent-behind-rfk-jrs-trump-endorsement

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., in suspending his presidential campaign as his family members long desired, nevertheless displeased those sharing his last name by endorsing Donald Trump in the process. “It is worse than disappointment,” Max Kennedy wrote in the Los Angeles Times. “We are in mourning.”

“Our brother Bobby’s decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear,” a statement joined by five other Kennedy siblings read. “It is a sad ending to a sad story.”

Several of the Kennedy siblings, including former congressman Joseph and current journalist Douglas, did not attach their names to the statement.

“Personally,” reacted younger sister Kerry, “I completely disavow and separate and disassociate myself from my brother, Bobby Kennedy, and his flagrant and inexplicable effort to desecrate and trample and set fire to daddy’s memory.”

Our memories of Robert F. Kennedy, Sr., remain uncorrupted by facts. Like his brother John and so many others cut down in the prime of life, he appears to us as less a person than projection. In the case of Democrats, including many of his children, this amounts to a depiction of him as a loyal servant of the party. Falling for this seduction makes for an imaginary Bobby Kennedy, who always and everywhere acts to please the present. Reality, so often the imagination’s bête noire, objects.

Both Robert Kennedys, in fact, not only opposed Democrats in the White House when their disgust with party overwhelmed their loyalty to it but also voted Republican. Here the factual past overrules a present in search of not truth but affirmation. Who, really, “tramples” the memory of Robert F. Kennedy, Sr.?

Here’s the Real Reason Harris Won’t Hold News Conferences Mark Tapscott

https://pjmedia.com/marktapscott/2024/09/03/is-this-the-real-reason-harris-avoids-the-media-n4932193

It’s going on 45 days since Vice President Kamala Harris last held a news conference with journalists, and speculation is rampant about how much longer she will go before convening another such gathering.

Here’s my suggestion: She won’t.

Or if she ever does, such gatherings will be few and far between.

Harris watched President Joe Biden all but ignore the White House press corps for more than three years. When he did deign to stand in front of the journalists to take a series of well-scripted questions, doing so invariably drew attention to his waning cognitive abilities.

But here’s the overlooked fact that is even more significant than the spotlight that shone on Biden’s decline during news conferences: rarely was he ever asked a challenging question by any of the assembled journalists other than Fox News’ Peter Doocy. And even rarer were the tough follow-ups that are essential to getting some semblance of the truth out of most politicians. More often, the questions have tended to be softballs that suggest most of the journalists present are sympathetic to the Biden-Harris administration.

What’s the lesson here that Harris and Democrats are likely drawing? Ignoring the national media is a no-downside proposition for them because, for the most part, the Mainstream Media is in their pockets.

Harris Hangs On To Overall Lead, But Trump Maintains His Hold On Vital ‘Swing States’: I&I/TIPP Poll Terry Jones

https://issuesinsights.com/2024/09/04/harris-hangs-on-to-overall-lead-but-trump-maintains-his-hold-on-vital-swing-states-ii-tipp-poll/

Presidential candidate Kamala Harris still holds a slight lead over former President Donald Trump, but will it last after last week’s interview with CNN? Harris still enjoyed an edge with prospective voters as Labor Day approached, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll suggests, but it might not be sustainable as Trump consolidates his strength among swing-state voters.

In a head-to-head matchup, Harris holds a 48% to 45% advantage over Trump in the September I&I/TIPP Poll, with 1,386 registered voters answering the survey from Aug. 28-Aug. 30. The poll has a margin of error of +/-2.8 percentage points.

Can They Really Reinvent Kamala Harris in 70 Days? Harris is not so much a flip-flopper as a padder, who supports anything, without any worry about framing each new position by renouncing her original and opposite one. By Victor Davis Hanson

https://amgreatness.com/2024/09/02/can-they-really-reinvent-kamala-harris-in-70-days/

An Opportunistic Mediocrity

In theory, it should be hard for Kamala Harris to win the presidency of the United States.

Under pressure, Harris just completed her first “live interview”—a disastrous performance that was mysteriously taped, edited, and emotionally supported by her co-interviewed running mate. During the interview, she claimed that her values remain the same even though her manifestations of them have admittedly changed. Translated, that means for the next 70 days, she will advocate for popular policies antithetical to her own values, which will inevitably resurface after the election once the current façade fades away.

She is a Berkelyite who, as attorney general of California, had a proud far-left tenure. The lifelong large corpus of Harris’s left-wing enthusiasm and causes are only now being unearthed. But they are singular in that her riffs of embracing wokism, being a radical, erasing ICE, doing away with private health insurance, or being the last person in the room when Joe Biden made his disastrous decisions were all given to sympathetic media or pandered to crowds.

As a result, she often doubled down. Her emphatic statements were intended to stun audiences. Unlike other leftists, she really was a proud woke, radical and wanted everyone else to be one as well—broadcasting her leftism as openly as she is now cloaking it.

In one respected survey, Harris’s voting record was rated as the most left-leaning in the United States Senate. If she voted to the left of the admitted hardcore socialist Bernie Sanders, what exactly does that make her?

Otherwise, Harris was undistinguished, and often overtly so, as she was exposed as inane in Senate hearings. Her envisioned 2019-2020 primary bid proved an utter disaster. When liberal Democrat voters nationwide were first made aware of her radical record, her left-wing agendas, and her weird wash/rinse/spin word-salad chats, they ran.

Harris’s well-funded 2019 campaign quickly blew up early. Indeed, she never entered much less won a single primary–and captured no delegates through voting.

In the frenzy following George Floyd’s death, and the mayhem and nationwide rioting and violence of late spring and summer, panicked 2020 nominee Joe Biden announced in advance he would select a diversity candidate as a running mate. And in no time, and under increasing pressure to trump his braggadocious promise, he boxed himself in by assuring his handlers that his running mate would be preselected as a black woman.
