The verdict is in on the Tolouse killings of Jewish children and the villain is that old standby, “Failure to Integrate”. What it comes down to is that Mohammed Merah did not kill Jewish children because he hated Jews, because he had breathed in the foul poisonous vapors of a creed which believes Jews to be subhuman devils whose destruction must come to pass before the golden age of Islam finally arrives. Mohammed Merah killed Jews because he was unhappy and it was France that made him unhappy.

Murder across religious and ethnic boundaries in Europe is inevitably a crime against multiculturalism. If someone kills a Muslim, it’s an assault on multiculturalism. If a Muslim kills someone, it’s also an assault on multiculturalism. Whoever ends up in the morgue, the incident becomes a clarion call for recommitting ourselves to more multiculturalism.

“Hillary, who not so long ago asked of the Russians, “whose side are they on?,” knows better than to believe most of the stuff she has to say. If a diplomat is someone paid to tell lies for his country, as the old diplomatic saying goes, a secretary of state is paid to tell the president’s whoppers.”

Few voters choose a president for his views on foreign policy, which is regarded as work best left to credulous wonks, artless dips and naïve double-domes. It’s work in a place where real people don’t want to go.

Voters make occasional exceptions. George McGovern, who promised to “crawl on my knees” to Hanoi to end the Vietnam war, and Jimmy Carter, who bungled an attempt to rescue the American hostages in Tehran and left eight American soldiers dead in the desert, paid for their reckless goofiness as soon as the voters got a chance to bury them under landslides.

Barack Obama may soon join them in that pantheon to the gods of presidential screw-ups. He sent a message to Vladimir Putin begging for “space” with an implied promise to trash American missile defense later, after he achieves “flexibility” with the November election. That sounds like a promise to crawl on his knees to Moscow. Mr. Obama knows how to crawl. He earlier crawled to Cairo to deliver an apology for America being America, and offering something that sounded like a promise to make the Middle East safe for radical Islam.

On March 30th, the Global March to Jerusalem (GMJ), an attempt to mobilize millions of demonstrators aimed at converging on the state of Israel and inevitably breaching its borders, took place. Joining the likes of Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, and Mavi Marmara flotilla veterans, were the inevitable horde of useful idiots from the West, including British anti-Semite George Galloway, anti-war Bush-basher Cindy Sheehan, Truther conspiracy advocate Richard Falk, and radical race theorist Cornel West. Yet it was one of the movement’s “official advisers” whose name stood out: president Obama’s former spiritual advisor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

In earnest, the GMJ was little more than a modern-day, jihadist-inspired confrontation aimed eliminating the Jewish State. It was an aim revealed by the GMJ’s logo, showing a map of Palestine in place of Israel. The GMJ rejects any two-state solution with the nation they consider the epicenter of ”apartheid, ethnic cleansing and Judaisation.” Furthermore, the organizers insist that they are “renewing the struggle to liberate Palestine,” a particular expression that is a common euphemism for the destruction of Israel.
