Buzzing throughout the now-shallow splendor of America’s First Residence is a pestilence of perversity. Swarming in ragged rank are the voracious hangers-on: flatterers, liars, hooligan academics, organized labor, hypocrites, psychotics, scabrous journalists, arm-twisting sleazebags…I mean lobbyists; and the rapidly increasing list of appointed commissar bunko artists.
Their point man is the present occupier of the Oval Office, who is obsessed with a deranged vision: castrate the United States of America, lay waste our economy, scour black our credibility, emasculate our military, strip us bare of our property and our inherent rights, and drive us to meager existence on the fringes of freedom.
This person, whose only gift is of effusiveness—who is not fully formed emotionally or politically and therefore, not of sound judgment or practical—is ruthlessly determined to hamstring our nation’s defenses and run through the shredder our alliances with other free and democratic nations. He is dedicated to turn turtle the canons of our Constitution and torch our Bill of Rights, as well as the other primary documents that grant empowerment to the American People.
We’re worn to the bone. We’re scarred with psychological sores and physically sick from anguish and dissatisfaction. We’ve been beaten down and are nearly at the end of our endurance because of this man’s obduracy—and he shamelessly exhibits how ineffably and imperiously pleased he is with himself, this eater of souls. Why Won’t Obama Celebrate Freedom’s Victory?

On a November evening back in 1989, it was impossible to take one’s eyes from the television screen. There it was, the seemingly impossible – the Berlin Wall falling as East Germans, intoxicated by the promise of freedom, scaled its once-forbidding face. Americans heard the singing, saw strangers singing, crying and embracing, and realized they were witnessing history. The end of the Cold War was at hand, and the United States – and the forces of freedom – were victorious.
The fall of the Berlin Wall was part of a chain reaction, as repressive Soviet-satellite dictatorships in Hungary, East Germany, Romania, Czechoslavakia and Poland fell. Even a year or two earlier, no one would have foreseen the rapidity and thoroughness of the Iron Curtain’s disintegration. It marked a glorious moment in the history of the world, when liberty replaced tyranny, and dictators yielded to democracy.
The commemorations will go forward, however, without America’s president.
Remarkably, President Obama, who could find time to fly to Copenhagen to lobby for Chicago’s Olympic bid, declined the invitation from German chancellor Angela Merkel to attend the festivities. That’s notwithstanding the central role that America played in the ultimate destruction of the Iron Curtain – and the bipartisan nature of its efforts, from the Berlin airlift to President Reagan’s famous exhortation to his Soviet counterpart to “tear down this wall!â€
No one but the President and members of his inner circle know the real reason that President Obama has refused to go to Berlin. It’s hard not to suspect, however, that his reluctance springs both from a misplaced sensitivity to the feelings of our former Soviet adversaries – and worse yet, from a misguided sense of shame about America’s Cold War triumph. Candidate of the Future

Presidential nominations should not be Lifetime Achievement Awards. When Republicans forget that, they lose. Examples: Bob Dole in 1996, John McCain in 2008. Democrats make mistakes too, but typically they head toward central casting. Examples: John F. Kennedy, Barack Obama.
The ideal GOP candidate would be intelligent, articulate, and debate-tested. The candidate, preferably with experience as a governor and not just as a legislative orator, would be able to unite social and fiscal conservatives and use wit and warmth to disarm media twits.
Will Republicans have such a candidate for 2012? Maybe. Mike Huckabee comes closest, yet fiscal conservatives trash his economic views. Congressional elections a year from now may signal a GOP comeback and bring new faces to the fore.
But you can be the first on your block to know the name of a strong candidate for 2020. He fits the specifications and, as frosting on the cake, has the last name of Cruz, a big plus for a political party that needs to capture the Hispanic vote to offset the Democrats’ lock on African-Americans.
Meet Ted Cruz, the Republican Obama.
His Cuban father, Rafael, fought alongside Castro as a teenager for three years until the forces of dictator Fulgencio Batista captured, beat, tortured, and almost killed him. A bribe from Rafael’s dad freed him. Rafael made it to America and in 1957 entered the University of Texas. He spoke no English and had $100 that his mom had sewn into his underwear. Read article.

Obama is not the cause of government overreach and the push for socialism. He is merely a symptom (and excuse) for implementing a long term objective of the far left faction of the Democrat Party.
Worst case scenario: if the liberal democrats were ever able to codify their “womb to tomb†control of Americans without precipitating an armed revolt, it would fail…and Obama (not Pelosi, Reid, or their uber-liberal co-conspirators) would become the historic scapegoat for the eventual collapse of the republic.
The way you eat an elephant is one bite at a time. That has been the goal, objective and plan of the epically wrong progressives who really believe (as an article of faith) that government can fix all problems. Sure they are wrong…but this is not an exercise in empirical fact analysis…it is an article of faith by the left who fully embrace the gospel according to ‘them’. Frankly, there is a frightening similarity between the tribal Taliban fundamentalism of Islam with the sixties virus of the far left. Read article.
The Democrat’s new debtors prison

IRS enforced health insurance mandate is the new debtor’s prison.
I love the progressive social movement. They are so full of contradictions and hypocrisy that it would be laughable if it wasn’t so sad, or so dangerous to our liberty. After all, the irony of the progressives purporting to care more about the poor, but actually instituting policies which hurt them is stunning.
If you aggregate all of the concepts that the President and the Democrat controlled Congress are trying to implement (not to mention here in Oregon), it amounts to a huge increase in the cost of living, which disproportionately hurts poor people. Higher fossil fuel prices because Congress locks up America’s oil, higher overall energy prices from cap and tax schemes, higher cigarette taxes, alcohol taxes and on and on. Obviously, these higher prices ripple through the economy creating inflation that affects every aspect of life making it harder for the average person to live the American dream, but especially poor people.
Now add to this absurdity, the idea that Congress would mandate that each person in America (including illegal aliens) must buy health insurance, pay new taxes on their health care and if they don’t, the IRS will fine them up to $25,000 and up to a year in jail and it is clear what the result would be: the modern version of debtors prison. The Heritage Foundation has an analysis of the effect of this mandate on lower income and middle-income people here.
This type of tyranny led to many revolutions in the world’s history, as people objected to the ruling elites oppressing them with outrageous taxes and prison time if you couldn’t pay the debt to the government. If this in actually implemented in the final bill, the revolution in America will be profound, as it should be. Read article.
Democratic Deficit Duplicity

I nearly fell out of my chair as I read this New York Times headline: “Democrats Push for Plan to Cut Deficit.” From the headline alone, I couldn’t tell whether this was before, during or after they supported President Barack Obama’s intentional, exponential escalation of the deficit to $1.4 trillion.
That’s simply immeasurable chutzpah. But just in case you’re ready to be taken in yet again by these fair-weather deficit watchdogs, the first sentence of the Times article reveals their true — and true to form — motive.
“Faced with anxiety in financial markets about the huge federal deficit and the potential for it to become an electoral liability for Democrats, the White House and Congressional leaders are weighing options for narrowing the gap, including a bipartisan commission that could force tax increases and spending cuts.”
Those elections have a stubborn habit of forcing even drunken sailor politicians to pretend to care about other people’s money they otherwise have an unlimited appetite for squandering.
But wait; I thought concern about runaway federal spending was the concern only of those “tea party” protestors the administration has dubbed “potential domestic terrorists” who were carrying “political paraphernalia” — copies of the U.S. Constitution — and engaging in “right-wing extremist chatter” focused “on the economy.” Read article.
Without Hope You’re Hopeless

Western Civilization awoke from the slumber of the Dark Ages enlightened and empowered by a belief that humanity has an innate right to be free and a natural right to excel. Rights and freedoms given by God not bestowed at the whim of some legend-in-his-own-mind leader. This civilization gathered steam in Europe exploding upon the world stage through an energetic period of exploration.
In America, after a revolution fought by farmers and merchants against the greatest empire of the day, the Founders, dared to declare:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.â€
After centuries of government thugs standing on the windpipe of everyday people these self-sacrificing giants observed that in a civilized world government was not imposed by the strong upon the weak it was instead built upon a social contract between the governed and those entrusted with the privilege to govern when they said,
“That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.†Today this bold and unique experiment in freedom is being devoured from within and challenged from without. Those who believe the collective should reign over the individual, those who believe in the suffocating sameness of Socialism over the rough-and-tumble of Capitalism have worked for generations building a culture of dependency which has tempered the steel will of the pioneers into the sloppy demands of the couch-potato slacker waiting for someone to find their remote as they guzzle some refreshments and wait for the game as bread and circuses take the place of innovation and accomplishment.
Today this bold and unique experiment in freedom is being devoured from within and challenged from without.
