Exclusive: Why Worry about a Muslim Center at Ground Zero?

In Europe, the majority of Swiss citizens cast their votes against the building of minarets. They did so mostly because they recognize Islam’s encroachment into Western societies and its active role in its attempt to force the submission of all others under Islam and under Shari’a Law. In short, they have had it.

Here in the U.S., it seems that we are learning no lesson from the Islamization of Europe and we are consequently moving in the opposite order.

How bad does it get? An Islamic center (mosque) is on its way to being constructed next to Ground Zero. And who is the head of this huge project which allegedly will cost around $150 million? An Imam who deflects any responsibility for Islam’s belligerent actions since Islam’s inception to the present day, who blames the West for Islamic terrorism, who defends the abysmal condition of women in Islam and one who compares the U.S. Constitution to Islamic Shari’a and supports applying Shari’a Law in the U.S.

Here are a few of his statements:

· The Islamic method of waging war is not to kill innocent civilians. But it was Christians in World War II who bombed civilians in Dresden and Hiroshima, neither of which were military targets.

· With regard to the role of women and education of women in most Muslim countries women are very active and involved. Misogyny exists primarily in the tribal countries of the Arabian Peninsula.

· Shari’a law has a set of principles of justice of rule of law of protection of the weak and of religious minorities and of freedom of religious conscience. These are all issues that flow from fundamental texts in the Koran, the teachings of the Prophet and the writings of the most important jurist of Islamic thought.

· The task of shaping a state based on these two principles (Love the Lord G-d and love your neighbor) is in fact what an Islamic state is…even the American Declaration of Independence draws much from those two principles…Seven centuries before the Declaration of Independence was written Shari’a Law was intended to protect life, religion, property, family and mental well being. This is why I assert that America is in fact a Shari’a compliant state. (emphasis added)

In the New York Times article related to the issue, the Imam stated that “where a piece of the wreckage fell,” it “sends the opposite statement to what happened on 9/11.” This statement may sound agreeable to the ignorant and gullible non Muslims, but it’s far from satisfying to those of us who know better.

Serious questions must be asked of the Imam, and essential unambiguous answers should be demanded, before we engage in self destructive deeds which undermine our own freedom and security.

For example; in the first opening verse of the Koran called Surat Al Fatihah, devout Muslims are daily declaring before Allah that Christians have gone astray and Jews are objects of divine wrath.

Sura 1:7 “Keep us on the right path, the path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors (Muslims), not of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, (Jews) nor of those who go astray. (Christians)

This Sura is repeated five times throughout the day few times every prayer. Does it mean that on a daily basis at Ground Zero, Muslims will keep cursing Jews and Christians upholding their hatred against the infidels; the same hatred that drove the 19 Muslims terrorists to put into practice their theologically driven doctrine?

Of course, there are countless other issues of concern. One vital concern is the money trail. Where is the funding for the Muslim center coming from? Is it from Saudi Arabia – the very country from where most of the terrorists originated and have been nurtured?

This alarming point was vividly articulated by Mr. Youssef Ibrahim where he stated in a recent Hudson NY article;

“The origins of such monies are unexplained; neither are the countries or entity advancing such huge donations… The money trail is an important question that must be answered by the Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg with more than a bland comment by one of his spokesmen, Andrew Brent, who quipped to the Times, “If it’s legal, the building owners have a right to do what they want.”

Another critical concern is the simple sensitivity issue. This unease was stated justifiably in one of the articles on this subject written by Mrs. Marilyn Penn;

“They (Muslims) are the very people who should be most sensitive to not exacerbating a wound by erecting a large Muslim edifice so close to Ground Zero, at what is after all, a symbolic cemetery for people killed by the sword of Allah.”

We must therefore urge policy makers and Mayor Bloomberg in particular to readdress the entire initiative and fully investigate the funding and hidden agenda in building such an Islamic center at Ground Zero.

To do that, it’s crucial to study the political ideology of Islam and recognize that the building of such a center, especially in this location, is viewed as a decisive victory over the infidels in Islam’s march to establish its ultimate goal: the submission of all others under Islam and under Shari’a Law.

Or else, in years to come, we may well find ourselves pondering why we failed to pay attention and learn from the mistakes that had started gradually but eventually changed Europe into Eurabia.
