“Late yesterday we learned that Senator Gillibrand’s leader, Senator Harry Reid, has announced he is against the proposed Ground Zero mosque project. Even the President himself has made his multiple positions public. Yet Senator Gillibrand is ducking the mosque issue as she has so many others important to New Yorkers. In typical fashion, she is hiding behind a spokesperson and when pressed for clarification of her position, her office ducks from reporters. It’s shocking that her Democratic leader from Nevada is more transparent and in tune with the feelings of New Yorkers than our own senator. This is an important issue to the people she is supposed to be representing.
