Residents of the Lake Luzerne area of New York have Muslim visitors from New York City bearing what some might consider to be good news for the community, depending on how much they know about the Muslim Brotherhood in America. The Islamic Circle of North America [ICNA] is proposing the building of a camp for children of “all religions” in the area. One local resident says “[I]t’s probably a good thing. We’re Americans, a melting pot.” But ICNA is not about assimilation into American culture in a spirit of tolerance with non-Muslims. Parents in the Lake Luzerne area, take note of who you are dealing with here.

ICNA‘s aim, according to its secretary general, is to work for “the establishment of Islam into all spheres of life.” There is a term in Islam for the establishment of “Islam into all spheres of life”. That term is “Sharia Law“.

Shari‘a divides the world into two opposing domains: the House of Islam (Dar al-Islam) and the House of War (Dar al-Harb). Muslims are supposed to wage jihad to change the House of War (where non-Muslims are dominant) into the House of Islam, dominated by Muslims. While some modern Muslims reject this aggressive understanding of jihad, and see it merely as a strengthening of personal faith, most agree that jihad includes defending Muslim territory and Muslims from any form of aggression; this leaves the door open to interpreting any conflict involving Muslims as a case of defensive jihad. Islamic terror groups justify their atrocities by references to the shari’a rules on jihad.

The goal of establishing “Islam into all spheres of life” is in keeping with ICNA‘s status as a Muslim Brotherhood front group.

ICNA has been identified by top national security experts, based on a report by the Muslim Brotherhood itself, as an organization willing to help in the establishment of an Islamic caliphate through pre-violent dawa (“call to Islam”) tactics. Such are the “tentacles” of the Muslim Brotherhood, as explained by journalist Andrew McCarthy:

Dawa, whether done from the rubble of the World Trade Center or elsewhere, is the missionary work by which Islam is spread…. [D]awa  is proselytism… “The purpose of dawa, like the purpose of jihad, is to implement, spread, and defend sharia. Scholar Robert Spencer incisively refers to dawa practices as ‘stealth jihad,’ the advancement of the sharia agenda through means other than violence and agents other than terrorists. These include extortion, cultivation of sympathizers in the media and the universities, exploitation of our legal system and tradition of religious liberty, infiltration of our political system, and fundraising. This is why Yusuf Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood and the world’s most influential Islamic cleric, boldly promises that Islam will ‘conquer America’ and ‘conquer Europe’ through dawa.

As a mom of four, I’m appalled to see ICNA seeking to establish a children’s camp that, even before it has been officially submitted as a proposal to the community, is marketed openly as one that will bring in non-Muslim children. Parents who send their children to any camp run by ICNA can be certain that every effort would be made through the camp to proselytize their children. Let us hope that local authorities will be on guard against ICNA‘s agenda in order to protect local children and parents who may be unaware of what is at stake.
