I write today with words of support from We the People of The United States of America. I heard about the speech given by Barak Obama today and I am appalled, though not surprised, by his stand. I also know of the abysmal treatment of you the last time you came to the United States. I can safely say that I speak for millions of American citizens when I say that we do not agree with the position of Obama, and we vehemently oppose the idea of Israel giving up any more land for a peace that will not come without the total extermination of the Jewish people. The Muslims have spoken many times about this land for peace issue and it is always ended with a call for the extermination of the Jews. We will not let this happen in spite of the appearances. Barak Obama does not speak for me nor does he speak for the majority of America’s people.

We the People, the American citizens, have been very negligent in the last several decades in the fact that we have allowed our government to be run without much input from us. I have just become active in the last 4 years, much to my shame, but I want you to know that I am now very active and I will not sit by and allow Obama to destroy my nation or yours. We saw epic changes in the political landscape last November, not only in Washington but in state legislatures and governorships all across the land. This was not a fluke; it was a sign of the times. We the People are alarmed at the direction our country is taking and we are going to turn it around.
My favorite, and to me one of the most significant, passage of scripture in the Holy Bible comes from 2 Chronicles 7:14, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and will pray and seek my face and will turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear them from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land”. The people of America have begun this process of turning back to God in a big way and we are praying for deliverance for America and for Israel. We will not give up.
Our nations are tied with a bond that cannot be broken by one man, regardless how evil he is. Barak Obama stated in one of his books, and while running for office that when the winds of war are blowing that he would stand with the Muslims. But the media covered it up and too many people were so enthralled they voted for him despite his words. Too many people voted to be a part of history instead of listening to the ravings of a dangerous man. Does this remind you of anything, like 1932 Germany?
We are tied together by a common heritage that transcends lifetimes. Our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and we will not allow that founding to fail. Our nations have different views of this heritage but they are linked by one man, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. To your people He is a Jew, a great healer, and a prophet. To Christians He is a Jew, our Savior, and the very essence of our faith.
Our Christian heritage goes back to your land, back through many centuries of suffering, war, survival, and the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Since the founding of modern Israel in 1948 your people have suffered more than we can even imagine. The suffering at the hands of the Nazis and their brethren is also beyond my imagination. I know it happened but I cannot even begin to know what your people have gone through for so many years in this modern age.
I belong to several conservative social networking sites. Every one of them has a group supporting Israel and the Jewish people. These groups have different names but each group has, at the basis of the group, a pledge to support you in any way possible, and to pray for your nation and your people. At my house Israel and the Jewish people are a part of our daily prayer along with our nation, our military, their families, and our family.
I am also enclosing an essay I wrote a few weeks back as a blog post. I titled it “How Do We Save America?”. I wrote it as a pledge to my fellow American citizens to do everything I can to wake up more people and to work towards taking our nation back to the principles laid down by our founding fathers and the God we share. I also pledge to you that this essay applies to Israel in the same manner and I will give the nation of Israel the same support and same efforts I give to America.
Mr. Netanyahu, I ask you to forgive me and my fellow Americans for the negligence that allowed Barak Obama to become the leader of this great nation. I ask you to have the confidence that millions of American citizens are coming together to correct the wrong we have done to our own nation, and the backlash it has caused your nation and your people. If you and your people will stand strong in the face of this onslaught you will find millions of Americans with you.
As usual it will not be an easy road to freedom but that road is worth travelling. The freedom highway is strewn with the lives and blood of many brave men and women, Israelis and Americans, and I promise that we will not let you down. If my life and my blood are necessary they will be given gladly. Right now my best asset is my God given abilities at my keyboard but everything I have is available if needed.
I understand you are speaking to Congress on Monday and I hope this reaches you before you give that speech. I hope my words, and my pledge of help, will give you comfort in this time of peril and the confidence that comes with knowing you are not alone in your fight for a safe and prosperous nation. I know what God has said about the Jewish people and I believe it completely. God will not let Israel fall but the struggle will not be an easy one. I know I am not the one to talk to you about struggles but I hope you can understand my sentiments and my desire to see your nation overcome this crisis and prosper in the future. We the People of These United States are with you now and will be with you in the future. God Bless You, God Bless Israel, and God Bless America.
I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.
In God We Trust,
Bob Russell
