DIANA WEST: ANYTOWN, USA….SHARIA SPREADING

A friend writes in:
I was at Lowes buying mulch the other night. Even though it was 9 o’clock,
it was little relief from the heat and humidity in the outdoor nursery.
I looked up from piling mulch on my cart and saw two middle-aged Muslim
women in flowing gowns and hijabs approaching.
They pulled a cart up to a stack of mulch across from me and started tugging
at bags. I smiled and said hello, but they barely grunted.
“Boy, you all must be hot,” I remarked, still smiling.
“Oh no,” snapped one, speaking with an Arabic accent. “We choose to wear
this.”
“Yeah but isn’t it hot?”
“It actually acts as an insulator (from the heat),” she replied. “In Saudi
Arabia, it’s made of pure wool and it cools you.”
“Really.”
The ladies were struggling to get bags off the top of the stack.
“You need some help?” I offered.
“No!” both of them said in unison.
Awkward silence.
“Where are your men? They should be doing this instead of you.”
“They are helping to bring democracy to the Middle East!” said the first
woman.
“Really? Where?” I asked.
Both stopped lifting bags and turned to engage me, suddenly animated.
“Tunisia and Egypt. They have returned to bring democracy!”
“Egypt you say?”
“Yes,” said the first woman. “My husband started an organization in
Washington D.C. to bring democracy to Egypt.”
“To bring democracy?”
“Yes, and we will join them over there for the rest of the summer.”
They pulled their load away and headed toward the cashier.
I followed on their heels, continuing the conversation: “So, bringing the
Shariah ‘democracy’ over there, huh?”
Both stopped and turned, wide-eyed and smiling, as if they’d finally met an
infidel who understands.
“Yes!!” said the woman whose husband started the D.C. group.* “That’s what
Shariah is. Shariah IS democracy.”
“Is that right?”
“It’s what God wants — justice on Earth.”
A chill went down my spine.
THIS is what they mean by “democracy,” if only the lame-stream media would
ask.
*Note: I tried to get the name of the husband’s Egyptian organization in DC
but they clammed up at the register.
Even so, enough said.
