“Regional nations were inspired by the Islamic Revolution to rise and by analyzing the revolution of the Iranian nation and [by using] its experience of 30 years of attacks and resistance they must solve their problems and prevent foreign intervention,” he said on Sunday.
Referring to initiative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in organizing the Islamic Awakening Conference, Geranmayehpour said the international conference was held at the best possible time, IRNA reported.
“At a time when Western countries are plotting against Muslims in an organized manner, such conferences will bolster unity among Muslims…so that the future Middle East will be an Islamic one,” he said.
Geranmayehpour added that the US and the Western allies of Israel are trying to use the power vacuum in these countries, especially Egypt, to establish their desired governments.
More than 500 scholars and prominent figures from 80 countries are participating in the two-day Islamic Awakening Conference, which kicked off in Tehran on Saturday.
The history and basic tenets of the Islamic Awakening as well as figures that have played a role in such movements will be discussed and analyzed in the conference.
The in-depth study of a unified Islamic front and the issues and problems it faces as well as the goals and prospects of Islamic Awakening are among other topics of discussion at the conference.
