Egypt’s Arab Spring: Springtime for Nazis?

Adolf Hitler died in 1945. Fascistic Nazism did not die with him. When Hitler rose to power in 1933 Germany, he found common ground with the Muslim Brotherhood. Muslims agreed with Hitler’s methods of ethnic cleansing and genocide, to rid the world of Jews.
During WWII Amin Al Husseini was the Mufti of Jerusalem and an active supporter of Nazism. At Hitler’s side, he was in Germany; heavily involved with the genocide of Jews. Husseini formed the Arab League for Islamic Unity, claiming that Jews and Christians have no claim to any part of the Middle East.
Escaping trial for war crimes against humanity after the war, Husseini fled to Yugoslavia. While in Yugoslavia he was frequently visited by Hitler’s Swiss banker, Francois Genoud. The Arab League and ODESSA were financed by bloodied Nazi money.
King Farouk, who ruled Egypt from 1936, openly supported the Germans. After the war he brought large numbers of ex Nazi officers to Egypt as advisors. The Vatican facilitated travel visas, and thousands of Nazi soldiers were incorporated into the Egyptian Army.
The relocated Germans saw Farouk as weak, and began conspiring with the Muslim Brotherhood and Abdul Gamal Nasser. In 1952 Farouk was overthrown. Muhammad Naguib became president, was quickly ousted, and Nasser became President with the slogan “One Fold, One Party, One Leader; which was a translation of a German Nazi slogan. Nasser and the military, many of whom were ex Nazi’s, ruled Egypt until his death when Sadat became president.
Anwar Sadat had a different vision of Egypt and the Middle East. He was responsible for the 1979 Egyptian Peace Treaty with Israel and won the Noble Peace Prize. For his efforts he was assassinated by the Muslim Brotherhood in 1981. Hosni Mubarak was elected President and served until 2011, when the Arab Spring Revolution caused him to resign. He remains on trial for his life. Egyptian elections are scheduled for November 28, 2011.
During the Arab Spring Uprising, uninformed protestors in Cairo carried posters with Mubarak/ Hitler morphed photos and swastikas. During Mubarak’s Presidency, Nazi’s were forced to operate in secret, and were prevented from carrying out their activities freely.
Mubarak’s downfall has given some Egyptians an opportunity to emulate the Fuhrer, starting a Nazi Party in Egypt. The Al-Masry Al-Youm daily paper writes that a group of Egyptian activists have announced a local version of the Nazi Party. The founding deputy, Emad Abdel Sattar, is a former military official.
Founders of the Egyptian Nazi Party went on Cairo television for interviews with local television host Wael El Ebrashi. Party members revealed that their goal is World Supremacy for the Egyptian Race, and following are comments from that interview.
Sayyed Gamal – “We have adopted the positive aspects of the Nazi Party, not the negative.”
Rami Gan – “We want to build an Egyptian nuclear reactor. It will be built by Egyptians and will have Egyptian components. We do not recognize the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel. ”
Amr Fouad – “Egyptian citizens have been humiliated, we must draw the line. The Supremacy of the Egyptian Race is our number one goal.”
Muhammad Abd Al Rahman – “I have adapted the Nazi ideology of Hitler’s National Socialist German Workers party, because it is the only ideology that is suitable for us. We must gain prominence by military power. We are not hostile towards Jews, we are hostile to Zionism. The Zionist entity is a danger to all Arabs. My first priority is the strength of the military institution. No foreign treaty shall be imposed on us, if we have military strength.”
Current Nazi phenomenon in Egypt seems the grandchild of Nazi military that were brought in by King Farouk. The Arabic translation of Mein Kampf is a best seller. Arabic translator Luis al-Haj expresses in his preface, “National Socialism did not die with the death of its Herald. Rather, its seeds multiplied under each star.”
For Egyptian Nazis, hatred of Jews seems to blind historic fact. Apparently Nazi Egyptians have not read the portion of Hitler’s ideology that dealt with the Supremacy of the Master Race of Aryan Nordic peoples. Hitler was very clear about the pure Supreme Race. Egyptian Nazis would have no claim to Hitler’s Supreme Race.
