“May the devil s**t on their graves.”
– Mohammad Shafia
These charming words, picked up by a police wiretap, were Mohammad Shafia’s ghoulish reaction almost three weeks after the murder of his three daughters and first wife, whose deaths he is accused of orchestrating. Daughters Zanaib, 19, Sahar, 17, Geeti, 13, by all appearances beautiful and vibrant teenagers, filled with life, and first wife Rona Mohammad, were found dead in a family vehicle in a canal near Kingston, Ontario, in June 2009. Authorities gave drowning as the cause of death.
An unrepentant Shafia, an immigrant from Afghanistan, appeared in court last week in Kingston to answer for this barbaric loss of human life. He is facing four charges of first degree murder along with his second wife, Tooba, the mother of all the family’s seven children, and oldest son Hamid, who was 18 at the time of the killings. The three have pleaded not guilty to the charges, setting the stage for the most sensational honor murder trial Canada has ever witnessed, particularly because of the number of victims involved.
Virginia Senate Candidate Honors Hamas Associate Posted By Ryan Mauro

On September 25, the 23rd Arab-American Candidates’ Night Dinner was held in Virginia, attended by 46 Democrats and Republicans seeking office, with former governor and current Democratic Senate candidate, Tim Kaine, as a major speaker. The dinner honored a top Muslim Brotherhood official affiliated with Hamas named Jamal Barzinji, an inconvenient and overlooked fact for Kaine’s campaign team.
Tim Kaine was the governor of Virginia from 2006 to 2010 and then was the chairman of the Democratic National Committee. He was on the short-list to become President Obama’s running mate. He is now running for Senate and will likely face off against former Senator George Allen, who narrowly lost his seat in 2006 to Senator Jim Webb. Democratic Senator Mark Warner also sent a videotaped message to the conference.

No proof Marco Rubio ‘embellished’ anything about his history By Marc A. Thiessen,
Embellish (em·bel·lish) (verb) … make (a statement or story) more interesting or entertaining by adding extra details, especially ones that are not true: she had real difficulty telling the truth because she liked to embellish things.
— Oxford English Dictionary
Last week, The Post published a front-page story accusing Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) of “embellishing” his family history — questioning his claim that he was the “son of exiles” when his parents had in fact arrived before Fidel Castro took power, not after, as he had previously claimed. “[T]he Florida Republican’s account embellishes the facts,” Post reporter Manuel Roig-Franzia wrote. “Embellish” also appears in the headline.
In using that term, Roig-Franzia was accusing Rubio not simply of being mistaken but of lying (an “account” cannot embellish itself). Yet his article offers no evidence that Rubio deliberately misled anyone or that he knew his parents arrived before Castro took power but said otherwise. Democrats have pounced on The Post’s unfounded accusation to question Rubio’s honesty and character.

Pothole Pragmatism http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/print/280788 Richmond, Va. — Elsewhere, in swing states such as Wisconsin and Ohio, Republican governors are under siege. But here in Virginia, a purple state […]
