ED ZIEGLER: ISLAM PENETRATING OUR GOVERNMENT
Is there anyone who doesn’t know, by now, that Muslim fanatics, worldwide, are waging Jihad (holy war) against all non-Muslims of all faiths?
Jihad has been making major impacts throughout Europe. For example Muslims are succeeding in forcing incorporation of Islamic laws into countries’ existing laws. And, in the USA, Muslims have been penetrating the halls of our city, state and federal governments by acquiring positions at all levels.
Everyone would agree to never allow a possible enemy to have access to secret or sensitive information. That is why the FBI is charged with investigating people seeking security clearance. Yet such a check is not required for a congressman prior to having access.
Starting in 1998 the Congressional Muslims Staffers Association (CMSA) have gathered for Juima (Islamic evening services) in the White House. In fact President Obama has attended their services.
In 2007 the CAIR leader, Nihad Awad, budgeted $50,000 to sponsor Islamic internships and congressional fellowships for government positions. CAIR claims they have a list of 40 plus congressmen and women who are sympathetic to their goals
For over 20 years Islamic organizations such as CAIR and ISNA have been working on getting Muslims into government positions of influence. In 2008, to get more Muslim Americans working in the Obama administration and Capital Hill, Muslim community leaders including Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), collected 300 resumes. Jihad Saleh, an aide for Gregory Meeks (D-NY), sifted through the resumes of which 45 of the most qualified were submitted to the White House. Dahlia Mogahed, one of two White House staffers, was hired to advise President Obama as to the wishes of the Islamic community.
According to the Beirut News Agency, el Nashra, Egyptian born Mogahed, has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. It is reported, as advisor, she succeeded in canceling a meeting between President Obama and the leader of the persecuted Maronite church in Lebanon. Dahlia Mogahed is “the highest adviser on Arab and Islamic Affairs in the State Department.” She is an open advocate of Sharia law becoming the law of the land.
The Department of Homeland Security allowed just one of its advisory council members access to a nationwide database that includes terror watch lists and FBI sensitive reports. The member, Mohammed Elibary, is accused of leaking some of these documents to the media. Mohammed Elibiary asserts that the documents show what he calls “Islamophobia” of Texas agencies.
Senator Dick Dubin, chairman of the senate Judiciary Committee’s subcommittee of Human Rights, aide Reema Dodin is a Palestinian activist who organized anti-Israel rallies while at UC Berkley. Dodin claims the 9/11 disaster was in response to US support of Israel. Dodin has justified violent Jihad. “Islam does teach that you must defend yourself.”
It has been reported that CAIR has placed many operatives inside federal offices. Some of them are Sama Elsafie, aide to Sheila Jackson –Lee (D-TX), Jihad Salieh, aide to Gregory Meeks (D-NY), Pakistani American, Assad Akhter, aide to Democrat Bill Pascrell of NJ and Adeba al-Zaman, aide to Joe Sestak (D PA), who was communications director of CAIR D.C. Then you have Arshi Siddiqui who is chief policy advisor to Nancy Pelosi, former Speaker of the House. Also there are Senators like Barbara Mikulski and Paul Sarbanes who applauded “CAIR’s mission.”
Possibly more of a concern, is Huma Abedin who is Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton’s deputy chief of staff. Huma has three close family members who were intimately connected to the Muslim Brotherhood. Abedin was herself deeply involved in Brotherhood organizations in the U.S. and she is, moreover, only one of many individuals with Islamist ties now working in sensitive government roles.
Since 2006 Rep. John Conyers, House Judiciary Committee Chairman, has tried to kill the Patriot Act, prevent the FBI from profiling Muslim suspects in terror probes and even criminalize the “disrespect of Islam.” According to CAIR, Conyers is trying to find a legislative fix to prevent airlines from profiling potential Islamic hijackers. He also introduced a motion to end racial profiling.
Congressman from Virginia, Gerry Connolly, started his association with CAIR when he was chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. Connolly worked with CAIR to draft a resolution condemning the Patriot Act and directing county employees not to assist or voluntarily cooperate with investigations. Furthermore it would direct the police to refrain from profiling or engaging in surveillance of individuals or groups and from collecting or maintaining information about political, religious or social, associations or activities of any individual or group, unless directly related to an active terrorism investigation. To restrict the FBI and CIA by such rulings, is like taking away the gun from a soldier in the midst of combat.
Some items on the CAIR agenda and its supporters are 1) Repealing the US Patriot Act 2) Weakening foreign intelligence surveillance 3) Outlawing anti-Terrorist profiling by police 4) Abolishing quotas and post 9/11 restrictions on immigration from high risk Muslim countries 5) Expediting security background checks on Arab and Muslim applicants for citizenship 6) Purging the FBI terrorist watch list as well as no-fly lists.
When we realize that Muslims are only about 1% of the US population we must begin to question what is happening. How is it that so many Muslims have succeeded in capturing so many sensitive positions in our government?. Positions in Homeland Security, Secretary of State, congressional and the President’s offices.
