In a public declaration Shaykah Abdullah bin Bayyah, Imam of one of the largest mosques in the D.C. area, called upon “people of reason and understanding” to put a legal stop to statements that would offend Muslims and thereby threaten world peace.”
“To Hell With Free Speech” is what many Islamic leaders are shouting and preaching to their followers. Do not ignore their words, they are very serious. The question is, are you going to allow them to pick away at our precious freedom of speech. Lose that and what is next?
According to the “Weekly Standard” starting in 2009, the Obama administration had marked its first foray into the UN human rights establishment by backing calls for limits on freedom of expression.
At the invitation of Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, representatives of 26 governments and four international organizations, primarily of repressive dictatorships, met in Washington, D.C. in December 2011 to discuss the implementation of United Nations Human Rights Council Resolution 16/18 on “Combating Intolerance.”. Resolution 16/18 is a revised version of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s usual “Blasphemy against Islam” resolution ushered through with the support of our Administration.
The real aim of the “anti- blasphemy” resolution (16//18) is not to protect religion but to clamp down on freedom of expression. Accordingly, “defamation of religion,” by the definition of the 56-member OIC, could include criticism of Sharia law, questioning the Quran, a Muslim claiming you insulted Islam or security check profiling. A report by the New York–based Human Rights First listed more than 50 cases in 15 countries “where the enforcement of blasphemy laws have resulted in death sentences and long prison terms.
Gabe Rottman, ACLU Legislative Counsel reported that on March 9, 2012 President Obama signed into law amended HR 347. Rottman reported bill, H.R. 347, has been described as making the First Amendment illegal or criminalizing protests. The ssues raised are of major significance for the First Amendment. H.R. 347, could be misused by the Secret Service and others to suppress lawful protest by applying it to particular locations such as public events.
In May 2011, International Christian Concern learned that an Algerian Christian was sentenced to five years imprisonment for blasphemy after sharing his Christian faith with a neighbor. If we lose our freedom of speech and fanatic Muslims have their way Americans could be subject to similar punishment.
Islamic leaders in Missouri and New Jersey are calling for lawmakers to limit free speech. In September 2012 Kansas City Muslim leaders started an on line petition to congress and our President that reads “The undersigned Board Of Directors and members of the Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City urge you to sponsor a bill that outlaws any action that may insult one’s religion.” If outlawed there would need to be a penalty. In some Islamic countries one penalty is death.
Imam Mohammad Qatanani, leader of the Islamic Center of Passaic County, said “We, as Americans, have to put limits and borders [on] freedom of speech.” He explained that while Americans may ”have the freedom“ to speak their mind, ultimately, they “have no right to [talk about Muslim] holy issues” as it will incite “hatred or war among people.”
A Pakistani government minister has offered a $100,000 reward for the death of the maker of an anti-Islam film produced in the US. This shows how obsessed some Muslims are about suppressing “Free Speech.”

There is a common threat here. Relinquish our constitutional right to Free Speech or Muslims might go to war with the United States.
If they succeed in limiting our freedom of speech what is next , our freedom of religion? Patriots, lovers of free speech -we must make our voices heard or lose our G-d given Constitutional rights. It is that simple get involved before it is too late.
