The Religion of Peace – Belligerent Reality By Rachel Ehrenfeld
“Sunni and Shiite believers of the fictional “religion of peace” could not have chosen a better time to expand their jihad against the infidels. The misleading portrait of the religion whose symbol is the sword, whose fanatic adherents’ principal aspiration is martyrdom by killing the nonbelievers, is not new. However, the twentieth-century Muslim Brotherhood fib of separation between the mosque and the state, at the time Western economies’ dependence on Arab/Muslim oil provided vast amounts of money, helped the believers to propagate this lie, and to increase their influence in the West, even while attacking it.
Deception, a major weapon in the arsenal of Islam. Accordingly, as David Bukay, professor of Middle East Studies at the University of Haifa, has explained, “they portray Muslims as peaceful, tolerant human beings, while non-Muslims are aggressors, imperialist-colonialist occupiers. Therefore their victims and even their potential victims, i.e., all Muslims, must fight to defend themselves and retaliate against the Kuffar (non-believer), who always instigates war.
“These clearly contradictory characteristics of Arab-Islamic political culture mean that Muslims can viciously attack at every possible opportunity, while crying out they are victims of oppression and aggression. They can perpetuate obscene inhuman acts of violence, terrorize and intimidate, while they accuse the other of colonialism, apartheid, racism, and Islamophobia.”
The corruption and co-optation of the West has been so successful that the president of the country once known as the leader of the Free World, the United States, has refused to identify (not to mention declare war on) the ideology that feeds the jihadists who have cost his the country heavy losses in life, treasury and freedoms.
Instead of focusing on their own existential threat from the “religion of peace,” and its jihadi messengers, the Americans’ and Europeans’ priority is to pressure Israel into relinquishing its national security and identity as the Jewish state in favor of the Palestinians. Moreover, instead of acknowledging the belligerent nature of Islam and its deadly consequences, Western leaders are calling on their citizens to abandon what’s left of their freedom of expression, so as not to offend Islam or its prophet Mohammad.
And while the U.S. president promises to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, he is doing his best to allow as much time as the Iranians need to produce the bomb, which its leaders repeatedly and publicly swear they will use to annihilate the Jewish State of Israel. While Barack H. Obama made it known he doesn’t like Benjamin Netanyahu, and disproves of or Israel’s prime minister’s efforts to protect his state and its people, what’s his excuse for ignoring Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei’s declarations that jihad “will only end when the society can get rid of the oppressors’ front with America at the head of it, which has expanded its claws on human mind, body and thought”.
Still, it is not too late to understand the Islamic worldview concerning ‘others’ (i.e., non-Muslims). It is vividly illustrated in Islam’s defensive policy, the al-Wala’ wal-Bara’ doctrine, which asserts that Islam is superior. To maintain its superiority, Muslims are required to hate and fight ‘others’ who resist Islam’s domination of the world, and by any means.
The al-Wala’ wal-Bara’ doctrine is not a secret and is often used in conjunction with public calls for jihad against the ‘others.’ Yet, the U.S. president, despite decades of growing Islamist violence and heavy losses in life and treasure, continues to pretend and persist by saying, as he did in his 2015 State of the Union Address, that “The vast majority of [Muslims]…share our commitment to peace.” Not surprisingly he also claimed “The shadow of [the terrorist] crisis has passed, and the State of the Union is strong.” Tellingly, Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, disagrees.
