There will be no way of stemming the flow of refugees, no effective defense against jihad conquest without a re-evaluation of the “Israel-Palestine” conflict. It is not the cause of instability in the Middle East; it is the core, the base, the launch pad for an assault on Western values. No degree of magnitude and horror of Daesh atrocities has yet untangled the twisted media narrative. Faced this fall with a flareup of murderous violence against Jewish Israeli civilians—again—media junkies indulge in the usual cheap tricks, reversing chronology to switch cause with effect and turn the hate-filled murderer into a Palestinian victim “shot dead by the police.” Day in day out they spin the same tired tales to shore up their tumbling certitudes. “It’s all because of the colonization.”
No. Frustrated national liberation is not the cause of murderous hatred against Jews. It is not anecdotal, not a side issue. Genocidal Jew-hatred is the cause of the conflict. A hatred that knows no limits. And it is not confined to Israel. It stalks the journalist that turns the knife wielders into little George Washingtons fighting for independence. It will engulf the heads of state that look down their noses and demand a “political horizon”…and an end to “colonization.” A smoldering substrate of hatred harbored in tens of millions of hearts can burst into catastrophic flames anywhere, anytime. The West that fails to recognize the nature of the one-sided stoneheaded, ignoble, vicious assault on the Jewish State is helpless to combat the explosive hatred that perpetuates unspeakable acts and turns entire populations into refugees.
The Syrians, I remind you, fleeing their war torn country via Turkey, come from a country that has always been in the camp of genocidal Jew hatred. Did their personal tragedy wash them clean? Is anyone asking? Does the question appear on the asylum application? The exquisite conscience of the West solicited by media that sprout angel’s wings on demand must assume that Jews will accept any number of attacks, any level of violence, any death toll and never react in a way that could really disturb the peace.
The Yom Kippur War of 1973, the al Dura hoax of Rosh Hashanah 2000… once again, Islamic violence against Jews strikes on the hagim, the awesome days from Rosh hashanah to Simhat torah, known in English as the High Holidays. This year, Israeli Arabs and Palestinians in Judea-Samaria are going berserk. The media–instead of stubbornly, stupidly, mean-spiritedly misreporting the current raft of stabbings and rock throwing against Jews–should arouse the enlightened conscience of the West, so easily moved by the heart-rending photo of a drowned child, so heartlessly indifferent to the murder of peaceful civilians who wish no harm. Ah but, you will say, they are occupying the territories, the Temple Mount, the ancestral land of the ancient “Palestinians,” the roads and streets and breathing space of the “rightful owners” of the land. Do you see the bloody irony of this logic? You in Europe should welcome any number of intruders and shower them with bountiful attention. Move over and make room for them. Don’t be selfish and greedy.
But an Arab who considers himself short changed can just pull out a knife and kill anyone who happens to cross his path. Why didn’t they open their arms, a century ago, to Jewish “refugees” returning to their ancestral homeland? Everyone would be happy today living side by side.

They’re at it again. Cycle of violence, disproportionate reaction, absence of a political horizon. And when policemen shoot killers it’s “revenge.” The conscience of Europe, of the West, should not be justifying this hateful murder. Decent voices should call out with the force of a shofar, call the killers to order, place responsibility on the political and religious leaders that incite them to genocidal hatred, and demand that they stop.
