Being caught taking a leaf out of the Palestinian blood-libel against Israel, the Obama administration had to retract its statements, which in essence repeated the Palestinians’ false accusations that the wave of Palestinian violence against Israelis is Israel’s fault.

The ongoing Palestinian violence targeting Israelis and Jewish religious sites has been deceivingly coined “popular resistance.” But “in Palestinian code, popular resistance means the use of violence without using firearms,” Gen. (res). Yossi Kuperwasser said in a telephone interview earlier this week with Omri Ceren of the Israel Project. The former chief of the IDF’s Military Intelligence research division, and until recently, director general of the Ministry of Strategic Affairs, explained, “throwing stones, using Molotov cocktails, and of course stabbing and riding over innocent people are the weapons used in the context of the Palestinian popular resistance.”

While the riots are attributed allegedly to nationalistic frustration, the “jihad” aspect of the bloody knives-wielding Palestinians, a-la-ISIS, is overlooked by non-Muslims, despite horrific videos documenting the unprovoked attacks. The Arab Muslim countries, however, share the Palestinian’s goal to remove the Jewish population from the land of Israel by any means. For that reason, Algeria, Egypt, Kuwait, Morocco, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates have submitted a proposal on behalf of the Palestinians to UNESCO to re-write history by denying thousands of years of Jewish presence on the land. The proposal calls on UNESCO members to “declare and confirm” the lie that the remaining Western Wall of the Second Temple, built by Herod the Great around 19 BCE, is the “al-Aqsa Mosque and is called Buraq Plaza (as the Palestinians renamed the Western Wall).” This outrageous lie, together with the demand that the “countries of the world condemn Israel for calling on its citizens to bear arms” to defend themselves, will be passed automatically by UNESCO, due to the Arab majority.

While the current wave of Palestinian violence erupted allegedly because of Israel changing the status quo on the Temple Mount, a false accusation that goes back to the Six-Day War in 1967, after Israel liberated Jerusalem, Secretary Kerry’s initial comment suggested another reason. One that the administration has long adopted from the Palestinians who claim the Jewish State has no right to build on its own land. “There’s been a massive increase in settlements over the course of the last years, and now you have this violence because there’s a frustration that is growing“, said Kerry. However, linking the wave of Palestinian violence to Israeli settlement construction, revealed that either the State is misinformed or – what seems more likely – that it defends Palestinian violence against Israelis.

Had Kerry been well informed, he would have known that recent housing statistics indicate that ‘settlement’ growth has ebbed to historic lows in the last few years. When White House spokesperson Earnest was asked about Kerry’s assessment at Wednesday’s briefing, he claimed, “Kerry didn’t assign any specific blame for the recent tensions.” But Kerry, unwilling to put the blame where it belongs, maintained: “I am not going to point fingers [at the culprits] from afar.” Facing growing criticism, Kerry phoned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, saying “Israelis have the right to defend themselves against violence in Jerusalem’s Old City and everywhere.” Kerry is said to travel to Berlin next week to discuss the situation.

But don’t expect either the White House or the State Department to stop pointing the finger at Israel, and of course at their favorite ‘right wing’ Israeli leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, as the cause for Palestinian rage.

It would come as no surprise if in his remaining time in office, President Obama issued another executive order recognizing the terrorist state of Palestine as an independent state, and allocate special funding to help it along. This will direct American taxpayer’s money to the growing Palestinian-industry-of-hate, knives manufacturing and terrorism-development-programs in the West Bank and Gaza, adding another piece to the ‘Obama peace legacy’ puzzle.
