Democrats’ Endless Virtue-Signaling Over Diversity Now Transitions to White Grumpy Old Men Dov Fischer
Yet we were told by Democrat Morality Police that the assault and rape claims of a woman — any woman —always must be believed. There is no “He Said/She Said.” Rather, there is only “He Raped/She Survived.” Suddenly, the term “Survivor” that had been arrogated by CBS for a contestant program — but that had been reserved hitherto primarily for Jews, Roma (“Gypsies”), and homosexuals who had made it out alive from Dachau, Buchenwald, Treblinka, Bergen-Belsen, Ravensbrück, Majdanek, Auschwitz, and the others — now applied to any woman who ever had made a claim against any man. It did not matter how dubious her past, how preposterous her narrative, her record of false claims, or the obviousness of her lie.
In time, however, that New Left Morality soon was exposed as baloney when a professional Black woman academic accused a Black Lieutenant Governor of having raped her.
Virginia has a White governor, Ralph Northam, who donned blackface. A Black Lieutenant Governor, Justin Fairfax, who has been accused of rape by at least two professional and articulate Black women who otherwise share his political world views. And a White Attorney General, Mark Herring, who donned blackface.
We were told that any Caucasian who ever donned blackface must be canceled from society. Megyn Kelly, who thankfully abandoned Fox News for NBC glory, stepped into the trap when she spoke obliviously of adorning blackface at Halloween time. That sealed her doom instantly. First she was trotted out one last time by the NBC-NKVD-KGB to be shamed into publicly crying on national television and tearfully begging the public to let her hold her job. Then she was terminated immediately after the screen went dark at noon. It was as close as commercial television gets to a Stalin Show Trial and Execution. There is no salvation, no atonement, no forgiveness for blackface nor for a woman’s rape charge.
No exculpation, that is, until the Virginia Democrats realized that, if Northam is removed for blackface, and Fairfax for rape and yet rape again, and Herring for blackface, then the new governor would have to be Virginia House Speaker Kirk Cox — a Republican. Immediately all the Democrat New Morality values were exposed as baloney. Northam remained in power to advocate for murdering babies and, like the others, became even more radical left because, as he correctly assessed, the key to his political survival now came down to mollifying the extreme left who demand his blackfaced cancellation. In this new American political Helsinki Syndrome, those facing career execution by the Left respond by becoming more radical left than ever before to pacify the mob from Hell or sink.
We again saw the Cancellation Culture’s self-acknowledgement of the New Morality’s baloney this month as the nation mourned the tragic and emotionally poignant helicopter death of Kobe Bryant. A reporter at the Washington Post who recounted the prior Bryant rape incident in Colorado immediately got crucified. The coverage of the Staples Center memorial made clear that the cancel culture that applied to Kavanaugh, who was the victim of libel and slander intrinsically is baloney. The truth of a woman’s rape claim does not depend on the woman’s word but on who the man is. Thus the #MeToo meme itself is baloney. If you are not a threat to rule adversely on Roe v. Wade, or do not have a stint at Fox News on your curriculum vitae, you do not get canceled for rape or blackface. If you are a great sports hero not identified with conservative principles you are forgiven. It does not matter that your accuser is a Black woman. It does not matter that you settled her rape charges out of court with a huge pay off. If the Left needs a swing justice on the Supreme Court to preserve Roe v. Wade it will protect his tenure even if it emerges that he has a prior conviction for pederasty while in blackface.
We see the baloney with climate change and science. The Left mocks any conservative who says, yes, there indeed is obvious change in the global environment, but the climate always changes. It mocks those who demonstrate that Americans are not endangering the climate, but that the focus on villainy, if any, should be directed instead at the environmental toxicity with which China and India do business. Moralizing climate-change leaders create the largest of carbon foot prints. Bernie Sanders flies in private planes. Michael Bloomberg, too. Al Gore devours an extraordinary amount of electricity in his Tennessee home, as much as 34 times the average household’s use. They all take private planes to global climate change conferences where they applaud a deeply troubled and terrified Scandinavian teen who has been brainwashed by her teachers and the Left media into believing that she and everyone else will be dead in eleven years. Let a conservative point to the importance of carbon to life itself, and the Left zooms in: “You deny science!” And yet science now incontrovertibly shows when a fetus takes shape: the fingers, the toes, the beating heart. What about that science that was not yet fully known during the time of Roe v. Wade?
They impeached President Trump for obstructing Congress and for abuse of power. Yet, when the impeachment was voted and the Senate awaited receiving the House’s report, Nancy Pelosi blatantly (i) obstructed Congress and (ii) abused power by refusing to deliver it, whether because she was awaiting a delivery of souvenir pens or whatever. They falsely accused President Trump’s campaign of colluding with Russians to impact an election when, in fact, it was Hillary Clinton’s campaign that paid the Perkins Coie law firm to pay Fusion GPS to pay Christopher Steele to collude with the Russians to impact the election. They investigated whether Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn violated the Logan Act even as Ted Kennedy asked the Soviets to intervene secretly in America’s 1984 elections and not to worry about Ronald Reagan, even as John Kerry told the Iranians whatever he told them about out-lasting and disregarding President Trump. They opposed illegal immigration as an attack on the wages of America’s working poor, especially Blacks and Hispanics — until they realized that undocumented immigration changed the demographic landscape and turned Republican states blue. They claimed that women’s biological differences from men entitle them to special federal protections to assure the competitiveness of college females’ sports programs — and then they wiped out those women’s opportunities by supporting the right of biological men, born with larger muscles and with more imposing male skeletal structures, to compete in women’s college sports.
They speak constantly of being “Pro-Choice,” but they oppose inner-cities’ parents’ chances to choose the schools that their children attend, and they even try regulating whether a person may choose to drink with a plastic straw. For years the ACLU led the fight against FBI abuses of the police power and illegal wiretaps aimed at destroying people like Martin Luther King; yet they support FISA court abuses and unwarranted FBI police power and wiretaps exerted to destroy people like Carter Page and Lt. Gen. Flynn. They claim to advocate for the working poor and against the billionaires; yet they are owned by and in the pockets of Wall Street’s largest investment firms that pay them huge amounts of money for secret fifteen-minute speeches, even as they sup at the feet of billionaires from Silicon Valley to Hollywood to Wall Street. They claim that they are the party of African Americans, so Blacks keep electing them to run their cities like Baltimore, Detroit, and Memphis for decades and even consecutive scores of years, and those cities remain with the worst crime and poverty rates in the nation, even as Blacks living under Republican government find more and better-paying employment, less crime and more family members alive, better and longer-term support for historically Black colleges and for school choice. They speak of protecting factory workers; yet they negotiated and implemented one after another international trade deal that moved blue-collar jobs overseas and that effectively wiped out large swaths of American manufacturing. They claim to be the party of the Little Guy; yet even their Communist presidential candidate is a millionaire with three homes who moved from racially diverse Brooklyn to make his life in lily-White Vermont, a state that is 94 percent White.
They attack Trump as being a threat to the Constitution. Yet they are the ones who would expunge the Constitution’s requirement of the Electoral College. They say that Trump is a dictator who would suspend the rule of law. Yet they advocate packing the nine-justice Supreme Court with fifteen justices to fabricate a left majority on the Court, even as it is they who threaten the physical safety of the justices. Trump indeed has criticized Obama Judges, and the likes of a Ruth Ginsburg who openly hates Trump and explicitly has stated on the record that she regards him as a “faker” whom the media need to grill and challenge more thoroughly. Of course he cannot get justice from her! But he never said anything remotely akin to Charles Schumer’s threats to Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch: “I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” Schumer’s attack on judges is unprecedented in American history. Indeed, merely referring publicly to Supreme Court justices contemptuously by their surnames alone is despicable. Imagine yourself in a courtroom and your attorney addressing a judge that way — even a traffic court or small claims judge.
And now we behold the remaining Democrat presidential field: two very, very ancestral White millionaire men. The Black woman, Kamala Harris, is long gone. The Black man, Cory Booker, too. So is Julián Castro, the Latino. Elizabeth Warren — whatever she is — and Kirsten Gillibrand are women now disposed, like Marianne Williamson. Tulsi Gabbard never has had a chance, with Hillary Clinton libeling her as a “Russian asset.” Pete Buttigieg and his husband now are gone. Andrew Yang is out. For all the years of Affirmative Action and all the volumes and monographs and lectures and drum-beating about diversity, it rapidly comes down to two standard-issue late septuagenarian White millionaire males. It is the classic Affirmative Action argument in full display: neither White male millionaire is suitable for the position, one unsuited because he frequently does not realize what he is saying, the other because he does. Yet Democrat voters from coast to coast, north to south, have selected them as their finalists — diversity be damned. In the end, it comes down to a White millionaire who argues that Castro is the model for education, Mao for feeding the people, and Stalin and Brezhnev for creating a society that makes for great train stations and honeymoons: “The Gulag Is for Lovers.” The other thinks whatever he thinks he thinks — depending on the moment. One day he thinks he is running for U.S. Senate. Another time he tells voters that he wants them to vote on Thursday when the pending “Super Tuesday” election is a national meme repeated a billion times for a year. He thinks he met Parkland students in the White House, that Texas is Ohio. It is not funny, but deeply concerning — both for him and for the country, if he is elected. If a common political argument is that “My opponent does not know what he is talking about,” with Biden that statement is an apolitical neutral observation.
When Black, Latino, Asian, or female candidates fail to meet one or another fine point of the DNC’s rules for qualifying to debate, the Democrats do not change the rules. But when a White billionaire man shows up, they do change the rules just for him. Thus, for all their moralizing, the Democrats become the party of White male privilege by the choice of their voters. So diversity matters, only it really does not. Blackface matters, only it does not. A woman’s claim of rape always is to be believed over a man’s denial, only it is not. Science is to be regarded, only it is not. The Constitution is inviolate, only it is not. The judicial system is what protects us from tyranny, only it does not.
It all is baloney. It all comes down to whose Gore is being oxed. As Biden and Sanders debate, imagine Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon in Grumpy Old Men but with Ann-Margret removed from the stage.
