Beware: Kamala Harris Would Be Most Far-Left President In History
That didn’t take long, did it? Already our friends in the mainstream media and the Democratic Party’s ever-ready spin-doctors are telling American voters that presumed presidential candidate Kamala Harris is not the extremist she’s portrayed to be by the wicked right-wingers. And they’re right. She’s worse.
There’s nary a policy area that Harris has come into contact with, either while in the White House, as a member of the Senate, or in California state government in which she hasn’t taken a position on the far-extreme of the spectrum — whether it’s immigration, medical care and insurance, foreign policy, abortion, whatever.
She’s almost always reliably on one side of the argument: The far-left side.
Don’t believe it? A 2019 survey by GovTrack, a non-partisan group, rated Harris as the person with the most far-left voting record in the Senate, even beating socialist firebrand Sen. Bernie Sanders for the honor. Perhaps, not by coincidence, that was the same year she began and ended her campaign for the presidency, lacking both voter and financial support.
Here are just a few of Harris’ hard-left positions on issues of vital importance, to give you an idea just how far sinistral side she is. You might want to remember this when the media inevitably start touting her as a “moderate” or even “conservative” on issues. She’s neither:
- Supported Medicare For All, a thinly disguised socialized medicine bill that would have destroyed America’s health care system by putting federal bureaucrats in charge of everything. She also backed the abolition of private insurance. Oh yes, and the Congressional Budget Office estimated its cost at $32 trillion over 10 years, making this plan and its accompanying massive tax hikes one of the worst ideas ever.
- Backed abortion on demand and up to actual birth, basically no limits. As a Washington Post headline approvingly notes, “Harris reinvigorates effort to frame election around abortion rights.”
- As President Joe Biden’s appointed “border czar,” Harris has promoted policies that have led to a surge of close to 10 million illegals crossing into the U.S., followed by an upsurge in crime, increased welfare spending, and massive financial disruption of small communities, especially in border states. In 3 1/2 years, she made one trip to the border. She also supported ending deportation for illegals, and making unlawful entry a non-crime. By the way, while a politician in California, Harris supported both sanctuary cities and free health care for illegals.
- Ardently backed pro-terrorist, pro-Hamas and anti-Israel demonstrators as they broke the law, and pointedly refused to attend this week’s speech by Israeli leader (and key U.S. Mideast ally) Benjamin Netanyahu to Congress.
- Supported radical Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ New Green Deal legislation, which, The Federalist writes, “would not only ban all fossil fuels force Americans to retrofit every building in in the country, eliminate air travel and meat, create government-guaranteed jobs, among many other authoritarian measures.” Straight-up socialism. And she would also “ban fracking.” So say goodbye to hundreds of thousands of votes in states such as Texas, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas, to name but a few states that benefit from major fracking operations.
- Served as a cheerleader for the Biden-Harris administration’s disgraceful embrace of DEI dogma, the main reason why Harris was selected as vice president in the first place. She embodies the many reasons why getting rid of the socially and racially divisive and discriminatory “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” programs, is necessary, both in government and in the corporate world.
- During the 2020 riots, which caused $2 billion in damage nationally and led to the deaths of an estimated 30 people, Harris consistently supported the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which bailed out violent criminals after riots and looting erupted following the death of George Floyd. Harris helped the charity raise $41 million, but it spent only about $210,000 of that to bail out rioters, according to the Washington Free Beacon. “The remaining funds helped post bail for violent criminals such as Christopher Boswell.” The twice-convicted rapist “was freed from jail in 2020 pending kidnapping and sexual assault charges after the Minnesota Freedom Fund paid $350,000 for his release.”
- Enthusiastically lobbied for the Biden-Democrat Inflation Reduction Act in 2022 and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Despite claims that they were badly needed (even though Democrat economists, including former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, said they weren’t), Americans have since suffered soaring inflation and higher interest rates, and can look forward to paying for the estimated $11.6 trillion in deficits added over the next 10 years, thanks to the Biden-Harris spending binge.
We could keep going on, and on, but you get the idea. On nearly every issue, Harris stakes out the most extreme position, and always to the left. The fact is, she’s further left on the political spectrum than any president who’s ever served. Yep. That includes Barack Obama, the current title holder.
Sure, as a new name in the presidential race, Harris might get a bump in the polls as Democrats collectively breathe deep sighs of relief now that they won’t have to continue lying about Biden’s failing mental acuity and obvious age-related issues. But it likely won’t last long.
“Harris is still a representative of the most unpopular administration in modern history,” as the National Review noted. “She is still more disliked than any vice president since polling began; and she is still a California progressive whose voting record in the Senate was to the left of Bernie Sanders.”
Americans, we certainly hope, will figure it out. Despite her toothy smiles and designer pantsuits, Harris is an extreme leftist. If voters don’t figure it out, 2024 could very well be the last presidential contest in which Americans will be able to cast their ballots freely for their candidate of choice and have their votes fairly counted.
