What USAID’s Dark Dollars Did to Brazil Augusto Zimmermann

As these threatening messages came before the election they amounted to a warning of dire consequences should anyone in Brazil contest the transparency of electronic voting machines. On September 28, 2022, the US Senate approved a resolution threatening the suspension of US-Brazil relations in case of any questioning of the security of the electronic voting system, “otherwise the US must consider its relations with the Brazilian government and suspend cooperation programs, including in the military area”.[4] As reported by Revolver,
The Biden administration mounted a sustained pressure campaign aimed at Brazil’s military, which began as early as 2021. The effort, as first reported in Folha de São Paulo and also covered by Foreign Policy, involved explicit public warnings by US senators about not respecting election results as well as continuous back-channel conversations to make clear that a democratic rupture would leave Brazil isolated on the international stage—and lead to a downgrade of US-Brazil security cooperation, which is highly valued by Brazil’s military establishment.[5]
As also reported by Revolver,
The campaign involved the US White House, State Department, CIA, Senate, and—notably—the Pentagon. In retrospect, including that last agency may have been the Biden administration’s most decisive move. U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was employed as Biden’s chief public emissary to Brazil’s generals.
It was a natural choice given the tense relationship between Biden and Bolsonaro, the latter of whom followed Trump’s lead in parroting falsehoods about supposed fraud during the 2020 US presidential election. Austin was also a more credible interlocutor since Brazil’s military was the intended target of the U.S. campaign.[6]
This helps explain why, after just a few outlets called the Brazilian presidential election on October 30, 2022, the Biden Administration almost immediately orchestrated a formidable international embrace of the former president. In an official statement, Biden contended that Lula had won “following free, fair, and credible elections”.[7] Quickly afterwards, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak all released similar statements congratulating Lula. “The people of Brazil have spoken”, claimed Trudeau, writing within an hour and a half of the result.[8]
As can be seen, the controversial election of the notorious ex-convict and far-left politician was strongly encouraged by the oligarchical leadership of the world. However, millions of Brazilians have protested Lula’s alleged victory. The spontaneous mass-movement has no defined national leader.[9] These grass-roots protests are solely motivated by a strong — and reasonable — belief that the latest presidential election in Brazil suffered from massive electoral fraud. However, writing on his X account, President Macron, reacting to the protests in Brazil, stated that President Lula can count on France’s “unfailing support”.[10]
Why would these leaders, especially, the US, try to prevent anyone from questioning the validity of electronic voting in Brazil? In trying to answer this important question, US political commentator Gamaliel Isaac postulates that maybe Biden was afraid uncovering evidence of fraud in the Brazilian election could somehow lead to the questioning of American elections’ integrity. “Does Biden know there was electoral fraud in Brazil and that there was electoral fraud in the United States and so want to silence anyone who says there was fraud?”, he wrote. The very notion of ballot stuffing, graveyard voting and postal-vote abuse is rejected out of hand by Democrats and their supporters [11] despite an undeniable history of twisted results, as Quadrant Online reported from America prior to the November 5 election and Donald Trump’s return to the White House. Isaac also raised suspicion that the Chinese Communist Party might also have something to do with this.[12] “China wanted Lula to win and China has a lot of influence over Biden,” he writes, “partly because of donations to the Biden Center and probably because of donations to Joe Biden’s son, Hunter”. [13]
And now it turns out that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) had a direct involvement in returning Brazilto a Marxist hellhole. Arguably USAID helped oust Bolsonaro and ensure a Lula victory. The ultimate goal was to advance a toxic left-wing agenda, meaning that the Biden administration was directly responsible for staging an all-out coup d’état agenda to take down President Bolsonaro in Brazil. If that seems the stuff of fevered fantasies, consider that the Biden administration, via USAID, gave $3 million to the Palestinian Authority for its security forces “weapons training”.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is “an independent agency of the U.S. government that is primarily responsible for administering civilian foreign aid and development assistance. With a budget of over $50 billion, USAID is one of the largest official aid agencies in the world and accounts for more than half of all U.S. foreign assistance – the highest in the world in absolute dollar terms. USAID has missions in over 100 countries, primarily in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe”.[14]
In reality, however, USAID is no more than a slush fund financed by U.S. taxpayers to spread left-wing, globalist influence and woke propaganda at home and around the world. USAID is operating with a $US70 billion budget to finance, among other things, NGOs’ efforts to foster illegal immigration to the us. And according to former State Department insider Mike Benz, USAID spent tens of millions of US taxpayer dollars to remove former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro from power and end free speech in Brazil:
When populist waves swept the world within the U. S. in 2016 with Trump and with what happened all over Europe with Marine Le Pen and Matteo Salvini and Nigel Farage, USAID declared censorship holy war against every single populist group, including Bolsonaro. Steve, I’m telling you right now, if USAID did not exist, Bolsonaro would still be the president of Brazil and Brazil would still have a free and open internet.
It was USAID that spent tens of millions of dollars of American taxpayer money funding the push to get anti misinformation bills passed in the parliament there. Funding the legal advocates who pushed the censorship court there, the TSE [i.e., the Superior Electoral Court], to crack down on Bolsonaro. tweets and WhatsApp and Telegram messages.
They built a censorship octopus in Brazil and it was built entirely on USAID because USAID declared Bolsonaro a populist, Trump of the tropics, and then set up this operation to control the information ecosystem there. One of the USAID grantees even said on a public call that the purpose was to eliminate the, uh, the international exchange of ideas between the Trump movement and the Bolsonaro movement. That’s what USAID does. They kill domestic populism because it gets in the way of their foreign policy goals.[15]
So it turns out that the U.S. government might be directly responsible for the implementation of a brutal socialist regime in Brazil. This regime is now entirely destroying the Brazilian Constitution and violently eliminating all the most basic human rights of the Brazilian people, especially free speech and the right to property.
It is now patently clear that President Lula’s modus operandi has been encouraged by the oligarchic power leadership and globalist forces of the world. As a result, a far-left politician and convicted corruptocrat may now be able to finish the job of turning Brazil into another socialist dictatorship where people have no rights, are brutally oppressed and persecuted by an illegitimate government devoid of any accountability.[16]
