8,000 Pakistanis, mostly Muslim men, marched in the streets of Peshawar to save a woman they feel deserves respect rather than the usual treatment for women—stoning, beheading, mutilating, raping, and beating.  Why are women-haters fighting for a woman?  The woman is Aafia Siddique, the Muslim terrorist known as Lady al-Qaeda.  When caught, Siddique was carrying notes detailing “a ‘mass casualty attack’ on New York City landmarks and a stash of sodium cyanide.”  Siddique grabbed an M4 rifle from one of the interrogators, attempting to kill her American captors.

Nothing’s sexier to Islamic men than evil shrouded in black cotton accessorized with a loaded backpack.

The capture, trial, and life-sentencing of a female Pakistani terrorist has Pakistani men marching through streets shouting “Allahu akbar” (God is greater), “Free Aafia Siddiqui,” “Siddiqui is our sister,” “We will bring her back,” “Crush America,”  “Down with the US system of justice,” “Down with America! Jihad, Jihad!,” while other protesters “hit a portrait of President Barack Obama with their shoes.”

According to reports:

The sentencing of Aafia Siddiqui to 86 years in an American jail left enemies and political opponents…riding a wave of anger on behalf of a woman widely believed to be an innocent victim of a vengeful, post 9/11 American justice system…Siddiqui, a 38-year-old American-educated neuroscientist, was detained in Afghanistan in 2008 by Afghan authorities.  She was convicted of seizing an M4 rifle weapon from one of her U.S. interrogators there and attempting to kill them. She was severely wounded in the incidents.  Siddiqui and her defense lawyers deny she ever fired a weapon.  Her family and supporters say she disappeared along with her three children five years before she turned up in Afghanistan and allege she was either held in a secret jail by American authorities or Pakistan’s spy agency.

Islamic men, who normally brutalize women, are raising the most anger.

Munawar Hassan, the chief of Pakistain’s largest Islamic party, Jamat-i-Islami said, “Due to the shameless rulers of Pakistan, the United States got the courage to take Aafia to the United States and punish there.”

Liaqat Baluch, the senior JI leader who lead the Peshawar rally said, “The judgment against Siddique is based on anti-Muslim policy of the US.”

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani demands Siddique’s release, claiming it will “improve the U.S. image in Pakistan.”

Not having your people attempting jihad against America and Israel will improve relations with the U.S.  Not subjugating your women under violent oppression will definitely be a start to improving relations.

Gilani further insists:

We all are united, and we want the daughter [Siddique] of the nation to come back to Pakistan.  I fought for her, my lawyer fought for her and now I will take up this matter on a political level.

The fact Sharia law-following men are fighting for the release of a woman is the epitome of Islamic oxymoron.  Had this woman not attempted to murder American interrogators, she would be mistreated just like all Islamic women.  Because she is a terrorist, she is suddenly Pakistan’s official Joan of Arc.

Considering the ill-treatment women undergo in Islamic nations, protesting in support of a woman’s rights is ludicrous.

Adding to the preposterousness, the Taliban is rallying behind Siddique in protest.  Taliban spokesman Azam Tariq threatened America for holding a female captive: “We will not appeal or beg to America for the release of Aafia Siddique.  We will bring her back by using the power of the gun.”

In response, Siddique told reporters: “Tell the Muslims, please don’t get emotional.”

You’re 1,400 years too late darling.

It’s too bad Muslim men don’t get this emotional over their own Islamic abuse of women.  The only time Muslim men come to the defense of women is when they commit violent acts of terror.  In that case, they usually die while blowing up everyone around them, saving Muslim men the trouble of beating them to death.
