Islamist Sleeper Cells Proliferating in Germany http://www.hudson-ny.org/2404/islamist-sleeper-cells-germany The number of potential Islamic terrorists currently living in Germany has jumped to around 1,000, according to new information provided by the German Interior Ministry. Many of these home-grown Islamic radicals are apparently socially alienated Muslim youths who are being inflamed by German-language Islamist propaganda that promotes hatred […]

It is something to have gone 10 years without an Islamic attack of similarly gigantic proportions to those of Sept. 11, 2001, but it is not enough. That’s because the decade we look back on is marked by a specifically Islamic brand of security from jihad. It was a security bought by the Bush and Obama administrations’ policies of appeasement based in apology for, and irrational denial of, Islam’s war doctrine, its anti-liberty laws and its non-Western customs. As a result of this policy of appeasement — submission — we now stand poised on the brink of a golden age.
Tragically for freedom of speech, conscience and equality before the law, however, it is an Islamic golden age. It’s not just the post-9/11 rush into Western society of Islamic tenets and traditions on everything from law to finance to diet that has heralded this golden age, although that’s part of it. More important is the fact that our central institutions have actively primed themselves for it, having absorbed and implemented the central codes of Islam in the years since the 9/11 attacks, exactly as the jihadists hoped and schemed.

There is a brand of Republican who looks at President Obama’s vulnerability on the economy and says “go for it.” They argue that the overriding issue of the campaign should be jobs — and that everything else should be a distant second.
There is another kind of Republican who sees the 2012 election as a tipping point for the nation — a do or die moment when we will either pull back from the precipice of debt and national decline or fall off the edge. This second brand of Republican is hoping that a candidate will emerge who can lay before the American people the nature of the challenge we face in a direct and forthright way. If a campaign is run and won on the need to reform our obese government, the new president will have a mandate to take the necessary steps, once in office.
After Wednesday’s Republican debate, it seems that Romney represents the first group, and Perry stands for the second.
The post-9/11 problem isn’t whether we’ll forget. The problem is: Will we ever learn? http://townhall.com/columnists/michellemalkin/2011/09/09/all_the_wrong_911_lessons Are your kids learning the right lessons about 9/11? Ten years after Osama bin Laden’s henchmen murdered thousands of innocents on American soil, too many children have been spoon-fed the thin gruel of progressive political correctness over the stiff antidote […]
http://www.prudenpolitics.com/index.php/pruden/full_column/when_good_news_is_mostly_bad Americans are always impatient with presidential candidates who speak only ideology, and that’s good news for Barack Obama. But they’re even more impatient with incompetence. That’s bad news for the president. News of the economy, on which the presidential election will turn, gets darker and drearier. The polls measuring the president’s approval continue to […]

Arms smuggling explodes across Egypt-Libya border Mohannad Sabry | McClatchy Newspapers
SALLOUM, Egypt — The NATO-backed war in Libya has turned this ramshackle Egyptian border town into a multimillion-dollar smuggling hub, with at least two huge shipments of weapons seized in recent weeks and many more loads passing into Egypt undetected, smugglers and military officials say.
Egypt’s interim military rulers say they’re cracking down on the porous border, but residents and smugglers say the authorities are undermined by border agents, customs officials and even some military officers who accept bribes to turn a blind eye to the illegal shipments.

The theory that human activity is causing potentially catastrophic global warming is not science. It is politics, driven by special interests with ideological, political and economic stakes in the theory.
For environmentalists, global warming corresponds with the authoritarian goal at the core of their movement: repeal of the industrial revolution (which President Obama’s EPA has begun to implement). For governments, it presents an opportunity to vastly expand their power and control through taxes, regulation and bureaucracy.
Book Description Publication Date: 2011 In our world today, several people, groups and minorities are singled-out for persecution. Yet there is one group that overwhelmingly has faced a more sustained, vicious, and relentless hatred: the Jews. Many people have negative perceptions about Jewish people and the state of Israel. The question is, why? The why […]
Another Tack: The real danger It’s a decade since 9/11, an anniversary that must provoke uneasy thoughts everywhere – including, for instance, on US President Barack Obama’s perspectives. But does it? Kadima headliner Tzipi Livni recently granted an interview to The Atlantic magazine in which she waxed ecstatic about Obama’s pressure on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu […]
