A Confident J. D. Vance Keeps Tim Walz on His Heels in First and Only Vice-Presidential Debate By Ryan Mills

https://www.nationalreview.com/news/a-confident-j-d-vance-keeps-tim-walz-on-his-heels-in-first-and-only-vice-presidential-debate/

Ohio Senator J. D. Vance turned in a confident and controlled debate performance Tuesday night, seemingly making a stronger case for the reelection of his running mate, former president Donald Trump, than Trump himself has in either of his two debates this year.

Vance kept Democrat Tim Walz on his heels for most of the night, arguing that the country was safer, and more prosperous during Trump’s first term in office than it’s been under nearly four years with Kamala Harris as vice president. He swatted away Walz’s contention that Harris has plans to fix the border crisis and strengthen the economy, saying that as vice president she “ought to do them now.”

Walz, who has mostly avoided the media spotlight since he was tapped by Harris, appeared nervous when the bout began, stumbling over his words and taking long pauses to collect himself. Vance, by contrast, seemed poised after sitting for near daily interviews with adversarial journalists.

Defying the media’s arch-conservative caricature, Vance was compassionate to women who are facing unplanned pregnancies, and suggested that his Republican Party needs “to do so much better of a job at earning the American people’s trust back” on the issue of abortion.

Kamala’s Fear of the Media How, exactly, does she intend to engage with Putin, Xi and Kim Jong Un? by Gary Franks

https://www.frontpagemag.com/kamalas-fear-of-the-media/

Fear. If you are afraid to engage the media, how can you be expected to engage with Russia’s Vladimir Putin, China’s Jinping Xi, Iran’s leaders, or North Korea’s Kim Jong Un?

Vice President Kamala Harris has been reluctant and has refused to hold a news conference in more than 66 days or give any one-on-one interviews with members of the national press, even before becoming the Democratic nominee for president.

President Joe Biden is Harris’s role model. He is another person who did not fully engage the media. Biden held the fewest news conferences than any modern-day president; facetiously, he ran his campaign in 2020 from his basement allegedly due to COVID.

So, why change? It has worked thus far. The liberal media is “OK” with that, apparently.

You can count on one hand in four years (and have fingers left over) the times Biden has had one-on-one meetings with Putin, Xi, Kim or any other American adversary. And how has that worked out? The world is in chaos.

In contrast, former President John F. Kennedy went eyeball to eyeball with Russia’s President Nikita Khrushchev over 60 years ago. Kennedy had news conferences and interviews with the press regularly. He forced Russia to remove its missiles from Cuba. Former Presidents Ronald Reagan and H.W. Bush met with Russian leaders and won the Cold War. Peace through strength.

Biden-Harris? Well, no. Either they do not like being challenged by adversaries (even the press), or they cannot respond to questions with their true feelings. Former President Donald Trump has never had that problem.

Department of Justice Sues Alabama to Keep Illegal Aliens on Voter Rolls By Eric Lendrum

https://amgreatness.com/2024/09/30/department-of-justice-sues-alabama-to-keep-illegal-aliens-on-voter-rolls/

The Biden-Harris Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed a lawsuit against the state of Alabama over its recent purging of illegal aliens from its voter rolls, demanding that non-citizens be put back on the rolls and allowed to vote in November.

According to Fox News, the lawsuit stems from Secretary of State Wes Allen’s (R-Ala.) decision to remove 3,251 people from the state’s voter rolls who have been issued non-citizen identification numbers, meaning that they are recognized by the federal government and still have to pay taxes despite being non-citizens. These numbers are issued by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and also serve to provide illegals with the means of getting driver’s licenses and providing proof of residence in the country.

“I have been clear that I will not tolerate the participation of noncitizens in our elections,” said Allen in a previous statement. “I have even gone so far as to testify before a United States Senate Committee regarding the importance of this issue. We have examined the current voter file in an attempt to identify anyone who appears on that list that has been issued a noncitizen identification number.”

The DOJ is now arguing that Allen is in violation of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993, which demands that any state that makes changes to its voter registration lists must do so at least 90 days before a federal election. Allen announced his changes with 84 days left before the election.

“The right to vote is one of the most sacred rights in our democracy,” said Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, in her own statement. “As Election Day approaches, it is critical that Alabama redress voter confusion resulting from its list maintenance mailings sent in violation of federal law.”

Three Iranian Nationals Charged for Hacking Operation Targeting Trump Campaign By James Lynch

https://www.nationalreview.com/news/three-iranian-nationals-charged-for-hacking-operation-targeting-trump-campaign/

Three Iranian nationals are facing criminal charges for allegedly hacking the Trump campaign and leaking stolen materials to the media to interfere with the 2024 presidential election and advance the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’s agenda.

Masoud Jalili, 36, Seyyed Ali Aghamiri, 34, and Yaser Balaghi, 37, are being charged with allegedly participating in a yearslong hacking operation that targeted dozens of current and former U.S. officials, members of the press, nongovernmental organizations, and campaign officials, the Justice Department announced Friday.

The unsealed indictment against the IRGC-linked operatives includes charges of wire fraud, material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, and aggravated identity theft for the cyber attacks. Each one of the defendants would face a lengthy prison sentence if convicted.

“In August, the Intelligence Community reported an ongoing effort by Iran to compromise former President Trump’s campaign and to influence the U.S. election process,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said in remarks delivered Friday afternoon.

“The Intelligence Community further reported that Iranian malicious cyber actors have continued their efforts since June to send stolen, non-public material associated with former President Trump’s campaign to U.S. media organizations,” he added.

The Iranian hackers sent unsolicited emails containing the Trump campaign’s materials to the Biden-Harris campaign around late June after beginning to target the Trump campaign the month before, according to the indictment. Biden-Harris campaign officials did not reply to the emails. Beginning in July, the hackers circulated to members of the media internal campaign materials on the Trump campaign’s potential vice presidential selection.

In carrying out the scheme, Iranian hackers impersonated numerous public figures such as current and former U.S. officials to trick victims into opening spear-phishing emails holding malware. They used multiple techniques to hide their identities such as virtual private networks, fake email accounts, and the accounts of compromised victims to advance the hacking scheme.

Israel Faces Existential Threats from Hamas and Hezbollah By Sloan Oliver

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2024/09/israel_faces_existential_threats_from_hamas_and_hezbollah.html

For years, the Democrats (Obama, Biden, Hillary, Kamala, etc.), Big Media, Hollywood elites, Big Tech, and even the military have called President Donald Trump an “existential threat” to America and to our democracy.

First, the U.S. is not a democracy; we’re a constitutional republic.  A true democracy is simple majority rule, best understood as Hillary, Pelosi, and Trump voting on who to throw in prison, or two wolves and a sheep voting on the dinner menu — meaning the simple majority become dictators over the minority.  However, a constitutional republic is based on a constitution with checks and balances that prevent the majority from becoming authoritarians.

Second, Trump is clearly not an existential threat.  The Dems, along with all their minions of voters, and the media, knows that fact.  How do we know they know?  Simple, we already had four years of a Trump presidency.  He never was a threat to “our democracy.”  (The FBI said that January 6th was not an insurrection despite what Pelosi and Liz Cheney claimed.)  Additionally, if the Dems truly believed he were the threat they claim he is, Biden, Kamala, and all the others would be cheering for those who tried to assassinate him.  They didn’t do that.  Instead, they called him and expressed concern for his safety and promised more protection.  So, their claim of “existential threat” is further proof that the media and the Dems (especially their politicians) are dishonest.

That said, an existential threat (ET) is defined as “a threat to the survival of a people or the long-term potential of humanity.”  Basically, an ET is a threat to a people’s/nation’s existence and/or survival.  A couple of historical examples will help understand the definition.  The white man was an ET to the native/indigenous inhabitants of the Americas.  Within decades of Columbus discovering the island of Hispaniola, 95% of the natives were gone.  It took several centuries, but the same result happened to the indigenous peoples of North, South, and Central America who were wiped out by the new inhabitants, mostly from Europe.  One could argue that the European discoverers didn’t intend to kill off the native peoples, but whether they intended to or not, the result was the same.  A much more recent example of an intended existential threat was Nazi Germany and European Jews.  The Nazis used an organized, systematic effort (called the Final Solution) to exterminate the Jews in countries and areas they occupied.  They were hugely successful, killing roughly 70% of the Jews in Europe.  If they had had a few more years, that figure would have approached 95% or higher.

You would hope the world would have been so appalled at the Nazis’ genocide directed at Jews, that we would demand “never again.”  And for a short period of time, the world was appalled.  Sadly, that short period lasted about 20 to 25 years.

SURVEY: INDEPENDENT VOTERS MORE CONSERVATIVE

https://issuesinsights.com/2024/09/30/survey-says-independents-are-way-more-conservative-than-theyre-willing-to-admit/

If conservatives want to win elections, they don’t need to rile up the base, they need to convince independents to say in public what they believe in private – that they agree with conservatives on most issues and that Democrats are the wildly out-of-touch extremists.

That, at least, is one way to read a fascinating new survey from Populace, a non-partisan think tank in Massachusetts, which figured out a way to discern what 20,000 Americans think privately and compare that to what they are willing to say publicly.

It turns out that there are often wide gaps between the two, which Populace calls the “Social Pressure Index.” People tend to avoid stating their views if they think they’re in the minority.

But here’s the really interesting finding: On a host of bellwether issues, independents are, in private, far more conservative than they will admit to pollsters.

The survey asked questions about democracy, individual rights, the economy, culture, racism, etc.

Kamala Harris can’t repair her immigration record By Emily Jashinsky

https://unherd.com/newsroom/kamala-harris-cant-repair-her-immigration-record/

There’s not much Kamala Harris can do to negate the electoral consequences of this administration’s border policy except to keep quiet about it. Her campaign, though, appears to be doing the opposite. She’s leaning in.

As if to illustrate the point, the VP got doused with a metaphorical bucket of cold water on Friday afternoon just hours before she planned to deliver remarks from the border town of Douglas, Arizona. Republican Rep. Tony Gonzalez posted a letter he received this week from Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealing nearly half a million noncitizen convicted criminals are in the country, some of them outside of detention.

“As of July 21, 2024, there were 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories on ICE’s national docket, which includes those detained by ICE, and on the agency’s non-detained docket,” an agency official wrote. “Of those, 435,719 are convicted criminals, and 226,847 have pending criminal charges.”

Fox News broke down the data by category, noting: “Those include 62,231 convicted of assault, 14,301 convicted of burglary, 56,533 with drug convictions and 13,099 convicted of homicide. An additional 2,521 have kidnapping convictions and 15,811 have sexual assault convictions. There are an additional 1,845 with pending homicide charges, 42,915 with assault charges, 3,266 with burglary charges and 4,250 with assault charges.”

These are eye-watering numbers. While they’re not broken down by year, consider this summary of the border numbers under the current administration from Left-leaning Vox: “For most of the decade before [Biden] took office, US Customs and Border Protection had in the range of 300,000 to 500,000 ‘encounters’ with migrants at the southern border each year. Under Biden, the average number has been about 2 million a year, with last year being the highest yet.”

When the Iranian Regime Intervenes in US Elections by Majid Rafizadeh

https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/20971/iran-intervenes-us-elections

These remarks highlight Trump’s concerns about foreign interference and its potential impact on the integrity of U.S. elections….

In the past four years, significant funds, nearly $60 billion, have effectively been given to Iran’s mullahs by the Biden-Harris administration.

Starting a war against Israel through its proxies Hamas and Hezbollah, closing off the Suez Canal, and firing on US troops in the region more than 150 times just since October was apparently Iran’s gracious way of saying thank you.

That the Iranian regime is meddling in U.S. elections to support the Harris campaign, should serve as a jarring warning that Harris’s approach to Iran policy is one that would enable this expansionist regime to keep wreaking horrors on the world, both by itself and through its proxies, especially after it acquires nuclear capability. Why should Iran’s government, which treats its own people atrociously, be expected to treat others any better?

In a significant move that, since the establishment of Iran’s Islamist regime, Iranian leaders have actively extended their influence to support a political party and candidate in a U.S. presidential race. This notable intervention is directed towards aiding the Democratic ticket headed by Vice President Kamala Harris. It is a move that signals that Iran’s regime hopes to secure an even deeper geopolitical alignment after the upcoming U.S. elections.

The FBI recently confirmed that information stolen by the Iranian regime agents, through their hacking of Donald Trump’s campaign, was disseminated to individuals connected to the Democratic campaign.

The Democrats’ Joy Of Hating America

https://issuesinsights.com/2024/09/27/the-democrats-joy-of-hating-america/

The London Telegraph reports that the Labour Party intentionally “threw open Britain’s borders to mass immigration to help socially engineer a ‘truly multicultural’ country.” Obviously, Labour feels the British culture is inferior and must be eradicated. America’s Democrats are no different. They hate their country so much they want to fundamentally transform it.

George Orwell captured the burgeoning self-hatred among the British smart set when he wrote in a 1941 essay:

England is perhaps the only great country whose intellectuals
are ashamed of their own nationality. In left-wing circles it is always
felt that there is something slightly disgraceful in being an Englishman
and that it is a duty to snigger at every English institution. … All through the critical years many left-wingers were chipping
away at English morale, trying to spread an outlook that was sometimes
squashily pacifist, sometimes violently pro-Russian, but always
anti-British.

In the 21st century, nothing has changed. The Telegraph’s 2009 story recounts “the huge increases in migrants over the last decade,” attributing it “to a politically motivated attempt by ministers to radically change the country” – this according to Andrew Neather, who advised the Tony Blair Labour government. Neather wrote in another British publication that mass immigration “enriched” the country and made London more attractive, more cosmopolitan.

Another purpose was to “rub the right’s nose in diversity,” which lines up perfectly with what the American left has been up to for several decades, because the right unabashedly, and sincerely, loves this country, and that triggers the other side.

Liz Peek: 10 critical priorities for Trump’s first day back in the White House

https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/4901314-trump-second-term-priorities

Donald Trump told Fox News’s Sean Hannity last year that he wouldn’t be a dictator “except on Day One.” On that first day back in office, he said, “I want to close the border, and I want to drill, drill, drill.”

It was clear what he meant — and he even added, “After that, I’m not a dictator” — but liberals across the country at least feigned outrage over such “authoritarian” comments.

They conveniently ignore the whirling dervish nature of Joe Biden’s earlyWhite House days.

Biden, of course, unilaterally canceled the Keystone Pipeline; dictated masks be worn on federal property (and on planes and trains); moved to rejoin the World Health Organization and the Paris Climate Accords; froze student debt collections; set stricter emissions limits for vehicles; suspended oil drilling leasing on federal lands; terminated Trump’s 1776 Commission; revoked Trump’s efforts to exclude illegal immigrants from the U.S. Census; reinforced the protections for illegal migrants brought to the U.S. as children; abolished the ban on travel to the U.S. from (at that point) 11 countries with serious terrorism problems (the so-called “Muslim ban”); paused deportations of people in the U.S. illegally; stopped building the border wall; banned workplace discrimination against gay, lesbian and transgender employees; restored collective bargaining power and workplace protections for federal workers; undid Trump’s regulatory approval process; and approved a whole slew of measures addressing the COVID pandemic.

This day of unilateral power was of course celebrated by the media, which cheered Biden’s efforts to undo pretty much everything his predecessor had done, including closing our southern border.

So if Trump is reelected, what should be his top priorities for his first 100 days?  Here are 10 of them:
