ELECTIONS

Navigating Past Disinformation by: Diana West

ttps://dianawest.net/Home/tabid/36/EntryId/4067/Navigating-Past-Disinformation.a

The most lethal threat to our nation at this moment in the election crisis is what is deceptively known as the “news” media, now inundating Americans with non-stop propaganda. This threat is nothing new, but the potential lethality of the election crisis itself makes it exceptional. We, the People, are under all-out psychological attack, our perception of these momentous events the main target. The impact is, of course, compounded by the censorship agenda of such platforms as Twtitter and Facebook, now unabashedly expunging and hiding facts about the events that emerge indepedently of the propaganda media. Big Tech’s censorship agenda now regularly extends to statements to the American people made by the President of the United States.

All of which was predictable, all of which was predicted. Finding ourselves at war with our communications compromised and interupted, we need to navigate past the disinformation. To that end, I will be posting valuable information, comments, analysis as I find it throughout the crisis.

Press round-up, November 6, 2020.

Betsy McCaughey’s “President Trump is simply suing to stop the counting of bogus votes”

…The post-election limbo is a deliberate creation of the Democratic Party. In the months leading up to the election, the Democratic National Committee and allied groups blanketed swing states with armies of lawyers filing suits to challenge voter-ID laws, signature-verification laws and, more than anything else, deadlines for mail-in ballots — as if elections should no longer have deadlines but instead be staged as a rolling, never-ending process.

…The pretext for all these changes was the pandemic. But the fact is, this nation has elected presidents in a timely way during world wars, polio epidemics and many other emergencies without doing away with Election Day finality.

Pennsylvania’s mail ballot results don’t look right By Richard Baehr

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/11/pennsylvanias_mail_ballot_results_

All of the major networks started confidently predicting yesterday that Joe Biden would win Pennsylvania after all the mail-in ballots that had been received by the state had been counted. The numbers gurus at the networks reported that Biden was capturing 78% of the votes from mail in ballots, and Trump 21%. In other words, Biden was winning this vote group by 57%,

This margin seems too high, based on the party registration of those whose mail in ballots have been confirmed.

The party registration data suggests that Democrats were 65.5% of those who returned mail ballots, Republicans 23.4% and independents 10.4%. If independents split their votes evenly, then one possibility was that Biden would win this voter pool by 42.1%, the difference between their 65.5% share of registered voters who returned mail ballots, and Republicans’ share of 23.4%. Let us then assume that independents broke heavily for the Democrats, say 80-20, Then Democrats would have about a 48.3 % lead, 73.8% to 25.5%. Let us further assume that more registered Republicans shifted to Biden than registered Democrats to Trump, so that the real margin was 50%.

How does the Biden victory margin change with different shares of the mail in vote?

At 42.1% (50/50 split of independents returning mail ballots),  Biden wins this pool of 2,506,507 by 1,055,260
At 48.3% (80/20 split of independents), Biden wins by 1,210,667
At 50%, Biden wins by 1,253,279
At 57%, the margin reflecting the state’s announced results, Biden wins by 1,428,737

Utah AG Sean Reyes Alleges ‘Compromised’ Election Process, Will Support Trump By Jack Phillips

https://www.theepochtimes.com/utah-ag-sean-reyes-alleges-compromised-election

Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes announced Friday that he will support lawsuits from President Donald Trump’s legal team to deal with the allegedly “compromised election process” in several battleground states.

Reyes, a Republican, alleged that former Democratic Vice President Joe Biden and his allies know that Trump “will win if only verified legal votes are counted,” repeating a claim from Trump about alleged election fraud. “We are making sure that happens but looks like courts may have to decide that,” he said on Twitter.

Reyes then announced that he took personal leave time to “prepare and support litigation in several” states, without elaborating. It’s not clear what state he would be going to, but the Deseret News reported he is in Nevada, where a Trump team-filed lawsuit is pending.

Trump’s team filed lawsuits in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and the team announced they would join a lawsuit in Arizona.

The Ascendancy Of The Basket Cases — 2020 Edition

https://www.manhattancontrarian.com/blog/2020-11-5-the-ascendancy-of-the-basket-cases-2020-edition

The very first posts on this blog went up on November 6, 2012. By pure coincidence, that was election day — the day when Barack Obama was re-elected to his second term as President. By late that evening we knew the result. (Doesn’t that seem so quaint now?) It did not appear to be close: Obama had won 332 electoral votes to Romney’s 206.

The next day, November 7, I wrote a post about the result, which I titled “The Ascendancy of the Basket Cases.” That post pointed out that the election was much closer than it may have seemed. In fact, the overall result turned on the outcome in a handful of states; and in each of those states, Obama had run up a huge margin in some major city, which was then sufficient to overcome a substantial Romney majority in the rest of the state. The particular handful of cities in question, which had determined the election result, were not just any cities, but what I called the “basket cases”:

What do I mean by “basket case” cities? They are the poster children for the failure of government spending to improve people’s lives and incomes, cities in decline where decades of government programs have brought only shrinking populations, vast vacant zones, fleeing businesses, high crime and low income. Yet they provide very large electoral majorities for the candidate promising to further expand the failed programs.

Which cities? In 2012 it was Detroit (Michigan), Cleveland (Ohio), Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) and Chicago (Illinois). Obama had won all four of those states. Actually, it would only have taken a flip of any three of the four for the election to have gone to Romney.

A Republican Senate Will Keep Biden in Check? Oh, Please! If you’re disappointed with Mitch McConnell and company now, just wait until next year if Joe Biden is president. By Julie Kelly

https://amgreatness.com/2020/11/06/a-republican-senate-will-keep-biden-in-check-oh-please/

In February 2020, Mitt Romney became the first U.S. senator in history to vote to convict the president of his own party. Despite a laughable impeachment case concocted by House Democrats and clear evidence of corruption tied to the Democratic presidential candidate whom the impeachment effort was designed to protect, Romney nonetheless supported the removal of Donald Trump from the White House.

“My faith is at the heart of who I am,” Utah’s junior senator claimed while working up tears from the Senate floor on February 5. “The grave question the Constitution tasks senators to answer is whether the president committed an act so extreme and egregious that it rises to the level of high crime and misdemeanor. Yes, he did.”

But Romney didn’t just pontificate about the president’s behavior. In that very same soliloquy, Romney defended the actions of both Joe and Hunter Biden.

“Taking excessive advantage of his father’s name is unsavory, it is not a crime.” Romney concluded, therefore, that since no crime had been committed by the Bidens, in his opinion, the president’s request that Ukrainian officials look into their shady business dealings was “political.”

With that, Mitt Romney secured his place in political history for something other than losing two campaigns for president.

In many respects, Romney is the poster child for the present-day Republican U.S. Senate: pandering, feckless, disloyal, and weak.

Sleepy Campaign Strategy Mystery Solved Biden didn’t really campaign because he—or at least his handlers—knew the fix was in. By Roger Kimball

https://amgreatness.com/2020/11/05/sleepy-campaign-strategy-mystery-solved/

One of the great mysteries surrounding the presidential election of 2020 has now been solved. For months, people on both sides of the aisle noted the huge discrepancy between the campaign styles of Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Trump was a dynamo, sitting for interviews, holding press conferences, participating in an ever-increasing series of rallies across the country.

Joe Biden, by contrast, rarely left his basement and when he did it was to address 10 or 15 carefully screened supporters or pundits who were coached about what they could say. Even Biden’s supporters, the innocent ones, marked the difference and were concerned. How could their candidate win when he basically refused to campaign?

We now know the answer.

Biden didn’t really campaign because he—or at least his handlers—knew the fix was in. They knew that compliant polls would cook the numbers to show that Biden was 10, 15, or even 17 points ahead nationally and in all the battleground states even though he was more or less tied or even behind. The psychological, which means the political effect of that, was to insinuate an element of unreality into the whole campaign and to present the public, and the pundits who were there to spoonfeed them, with a false narrative about the performance and therefore the prospects of the two candidates.

The committee fielding Biden also knew that the media was almost totally on board with a Biden candidacy. This was clear during the campaign when an overwhelming majority of media coverage was both hostile to Trump and almost comically careful about Biden.

Is Ballotgate the Single Greatest Crime in Modern American History? By William Sullivan

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2020/11/is_ballotgate_the_single_greatest_crime_in_modern_american_history.html

Imagine, for a moment, that the night of November 3rd, 2020, had gone a bit differently, with the circumstances reversed.

Imagine that the media was champing at the bit to call several states early for Trump, while refusing to call those states in which Biden was comfortably winning, giving the false perception of the comfortable lead that had been suggested by months of Trump’s leading the polls.  Then, imagine it had become clear that Joe Biden was surging to a comfortable lead in several closely contested swing states.  Now imagine that, after having stopped the counting of legal ballots in those states (due to the lateness of the hour and logistical challenges, we are told), hundreds of thousands of ballots mysteriously appeared in these states, and counted behind the curtain, with limited Democrat oversight, thus shifting the tide in Trump’s favor by the next day.

You don’t have to ponder that scenario long before concluding that the Democrats and the media would be claiming that the outcome of that election is illegitimate, and calling for investigations at the highest levels to audit the results, ensuring that each and every vote was verified as having been legally cast, with appropriate registration, postmark dates, signatures, etc.

I don’t think it’s possible to understate the following assertion: If it is proven that Democratic Party operatives illegally introduced hundreds of thousands of illegitimate ballots in order to swing an election in their Party’s favor, it will have been the single most dangerous crime in modern American history.

What are we talking about here, after all?  We aren’t just talking about the oftentimes phantom “voter suppression” that Democrats notoriously peddle, suggesting that requiring a photo ID or having to stand in line to vote amounts to it.  No, we are talking about disenfranchisement of the purest form, and the dissolution of trust in the most fundamental institution of the American republic.

The vast scope of election fraud in America By Andrea Widburg

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/11/the_vast_scope_of_election_fraud_in_america.html

November 5 is Guy Fawkes Day in England, which commemorates a failed plot to subvert the government by blowing up parliament in 1605. In America, the fifth of November yielded its share of plots too. This post summarizes some of the many examples of alleged voter fraud in Democrat-run swing states or districts.

Arizona:

A voter filed a lawsuit claiming that a poll worker gave her a Sharpie to complete her ballot. When the ballot box failed to register her vote, the poll worker refused to give her a new ballot.

Georgia:

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced on Thursday that there were fewer than 25,000 uncounted absentee ballots in the state. Just a few hours later, he revised that to around 55,000 – 60,000 ballots. He said that the 30,000 – 35,000 ballot fluctuation was normal. Uh-huh.

Michigan:

Despite a guarantee under Michigan law, the Trump campaign was denied access to voting locations across the state.

A postal worker whistleblower revealed to Project Veritas that the supervisor at the branch in which he worked instructed carriers to collect all ballots received on November 4, after the election deadline, and put them in a special “express” bin. Once there, they were hand-stamped “November 3” and then forwarded to the distribution center. Keep in mind that postal carriers have skin in the game because the 300,000 strong National Association of Letter Carriers (both retired and current) endorsed Biden, saying that his winning was a matter of “survival.”

William Bradley, who was born in 1902 and died in 1984, voted by absentee ballot in Wayne County.

Milwaukee Officials Have Some Explaining to Do By Jack Cashill

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2020/11/milwaukee_officials_have_some

A rumor circulated widely that more people voted in Wisconsin than were registered.  Although not true, it strikes me as an honest mistake.  The originator of the rumor was looking at the registration numbers for 2018.  More people did vote in Wisconsin in 2020 than were registered in 2018.

The real numbers are almost as incredible.  In 2020, an astounding 88 percent of those registered to vote seem to have voted.  In Ohio, another battleground state, the turnout was a much more typical 68 percent.  The highest voter turnout in recent years nationwide was 61.6 percent in 2008.  In 2012, the last year for which data are readily available for Wisconsin, the turnout was 65 percent.

If the Wisconsin average was 88 percent statewide, some parts of the state obviously had to have higher numbers.  In this regard, the City of Milwaukee is suspect, and not all of Milwaukee, either.  Contrary to expectation, in many of the wards with the heaviest concentration of black American voters, the turnout was relatively light.  Joe Biden was no Barack Obama, but more on this in a minute.

As a caution, let me call this a work in progress.  I am looking at a ward-by-ward spreadsheet that strikes me as a legitimate.  Those who know Milwaukee better than I should feel free to contact me through American Thinker.

The most striking feature of the data is a fact that cries out for clarification: in seven wards, voter turnout appears to have exceeded 100 percent.  In two of those wards, turnout exceeded 200 percent.  In another 15 wards, voter turnout exceeded 95 percent.  Joe Biden carried 21 of the 22 wards of the 95-plus-percent wards.  But then again, he carried all but one of the 67 additional wards in which the turnout was above 90 percent and won 80 percent of the vote citywide.

Democrat Voter Fraud in Minnesota What most people would call voter fraud is actually legal in Minnesota elections. Bruce Hendry (March 2020)

https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2020/11/democrat-voter-fraud-minnesota-bruce-hendry/

Editors’ note: In light of this week’s blatant voter fraud perpetrated by the Left, we are reposting Bruce Hendry’s March 9th article for FrontPage Mag below. This article was Part 4 of a longer essay by Bruce Hendry titled “Democrats, Progressives and Socialists.” Links to the other parts can be found below this article.

Voter Fraud in Minnesota, and one can presume elsewhere, is practiced almost entirely by Democrats, who have waged a relentless campaign to block any attempt to block ineligible voters from voting, or eligible voters from voting more than once as “voter suppression.”

It’s actually technically incorrect to say that there is large voter fraud in Minnesota, because what you and I would consider voter fraud is in fact legal in Minnesota. The Democrats euphemistic phrase for voter fraud is “ineligible voting” but the manipulation of the voting system is still fraudulent and so it’s still voter fraud. Most voters of either party are totally unaware of what’s going on.

Voter fraud In Minnesota is practiced almost entirely by Democrats through a two-part process. First, they construct election laws that are designed to tolerate ineligible voting and, second, they don’t enforce even the weak constraints in those statutes. Most voters of either party are totally unaware of what’s going on.

Here is how it works.

Self-certification. In Minnesota, you are supposed to be prohibited from voting if you (1) have a court order stating that you are incompetent to vote, (2) are not a citizen, (3) are a felon on parole or probation, or (4) live outside the precinct.

In all cases, you can still vote in Minnesota by self-certifying to the election judge that you are eligible to vote. Nothing more is needed, just your statement.
