It seems everyone but the Democrats have had a bit of fun with President Joe Biden’s insulting characterization of former President Donald Trump’s supporters as “garbage” (and, yes, he did mean Trump’s supporters, not Trump himself). Not so funny is what it shows about the Democrats, who seem to loathe any American who doesn’t support them.

It started with a bad joke told by a comedian, one of 30 warmup speakers at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, who referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.” Trump didn’t make the remark, nor did he approve of it.

“This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign,” Trump campaign senior adviser Danielle Alvarez said.

But in a phone call with an Hispanic voter group, Biden unleashed a tirade: “The only garbage I see floating out there is his (Trump’s) supporters,” he said. “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and it is un-American.”

In fact, Trump demonized no one. But Biden did, namely the 74 million-plus people who voted for Trump in the last election, and the millions more who will vote for him this time around.

In the last two weeks, Kamala Harris has been trying to revive her stagnant campaign by smearing Trump as being Hitlerian and a fascist. She claims Trump is planning to put his enemies in encampments.

Yet in the modern era, it was not Trump who put large numbers of U.S. residents and citizens into “relocation camps,” but liberal Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt who sent Japanese-American citizens and residents into them.

If Harris refers to Trump’s supposed fascist policies during his prior four-year tenure, there is no such evidence.

Nonetheless, the once “joyful” Harris is ending her campaign by trafficking in lies and smears reminiscent of the Joe McCarthy era.

Recall that fascists hijack law enforcement and the military to suspend constitutional rights and punish enemies. But Trump did neither.

Instead, in 2016, a corrupt FBI went after Trump himself during the Obama administration with the bogus Steele dossier.

The FBI, which in 2016 had hired the faker Steele, in 2020, fused with social media to suppress accurate news reporting of the embarrassing Hunter Biden laptop scandal.

A number of FBI directors and intelligence officials—John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey, Andrew McCabe—who openly sought to destroy Trump had a long history of either lying or feigning amnesia under oath.

Fascists try to warp the legal system. But Trump’s own Justice Department selected an independent special counsel to investigate the invented Russian collusion accusations against him.

In vast contrast, the Biden Justice Department coordinated with Georgia prosecutors Fani Willis and Nathan Wade, special counsel Jack Smith, Manhattan prosecutor Alvin Bragg, and New York Attorney General Letitia James to prosecute Trump, bankrupt him, and keep off the campaign trail.

Fascists use their governments to destroy their enemies.

During Trump’s term, for the first time in history, the House of Representatives impeached a first-term president twice. And in another first, the Senate tried Trump as a private citizen.

A self-styled “anonymous” federal official bragged openly of deliberately, and likely unlawfully, leading a bureaucratic cabal to sabotage Trump’s lawful executive orders.

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, in collusion with other bureaucrats, deliberately leaked a classified presidential phone call in an effort to ensure that Trump was impeached.

Fascists seek to change existing laws to destroy opponents and illegally consolidate power.

A day later the Kamala campaign began accusing Trump of being Hitler.

As October surprises go, a Democrat accusing a Republican of being Hitler is as surprising as pint size witches and ghosts showing up on your doorstep on October 31. Ever since FDR accused Wendel Wilkie of using “Hitler tactics” back during the 1940 election, calling your opponent Hitler has been a rite of passage since even before Joe Biden was born.

Goldwater, Reagan and both Bushes, were accused of Hitlerism, Nazism or fascism.

No Democrat was too respectable to get in the game including MLK who claimed, “we see danger signs of Hitlerism in the candidacy of Mr. Goldwater.”

Barry Goldwater was half Jewish, a WWII vet and a lifetime member of the NAACP who helped found the NAACP’s Arizona chapter, and seemingly the worst possible candidate for ‘Hitlerism’.

Except for Trump who has Jewish family members and is performing so well among Jewish, Latino and black voters that his opponent and her media have to compare him to Hitler.

There was a time when comparing your opponent to Hitler was a mostly harmless form of watering down some of the most horrific events of the twentieth century for political gain.

Donald Trump boarded a garbage truck on Wednesday evening — one day after President Joe Biden called Trump supporters “garbage” — “in honor of Kamala and Joe,” Trump said.

The dig comes one day after Biden slammed Trump voters as “garbage” on a Zoom call hosted by a progressive Latino group.

Campaigning in Green Bay, Wis., Trump donned an orange vest to ride a garbage vehicle with “Make America Great Again 2024” plastered on its side. It was a “big, beautiful MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN Garbage Truck,” Trump said.

“How do you like my garbage truck?” Trump asked reporters. “This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden. . . . Joe Biden should be ashamed of himself, if he knows what he’s even doing, and she should be ashamed.”

Biden referred to Trump voters as “garbage” on Tuesday, when he said, “Just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage. The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.”

Given the terrible economic distress the American people have undergone during the past four years, it was inevitable that the nation’s newspaper of record on economic issues would conduct a poll on what effects economists think the respective policies of the two major candidates would have if elected.

It was also entirely predictable that the designated experts would find that the candidate from the party inclined toward catastrophically dire high spending and taxes has more-promising economic policies than the representative of the party with a merely disastrous spending and tax record during this century.

“Most economists think inflation, interest rates and deficits would be higher under the policies former President Donald Trump would pursue in a second administration than under those proposed by Vice President Kamala Harris, according to a quarterly survey by The Wall Street Journal,” the Journal reports.

Trump’s major offense, the economists argue, is in proposing to cut taxes on income and to raise taxes on consumption, the latter through tariffs on imports from China and possibly other disfavored countries. Harris has proposed less in tax cuts than Trump, which the economists see as a good thing, and apparently they have discounted all of Harris’ spending promises as of little consequence: “While neither Trump nor Harris has expressed much appetite for fiscal rectitude, 65% of economists see Trump’s proposed policies putting more upward pressure on the federal deficit, up from 51% in July,” the paper reports.

We have no doubt that, in the years to come, the media will describe the Biden-Harris administration as “scandal-free.” But that’s only because for the past four years they’ve vigorously ignored any and all scandals.

Case in point is the $15 billion giveaway that Biden-Harris snuck through this summer without a single hearing, vote, or advance notice, in an attempt to buy seniors’ votes. Followed up by a campaign email to these same seniors on behalf of Kamala Harris, also paid for by taxpayers.

Is any of this legal? Who cares, if it helps Harris win in November? At least, that’s how the mainstream press is treating this scandal.

It is difficult to understand where the leaders of the #metoo movement and their fellow travelers at the bar, like Roberta Kaplan, Gloria Allred, and others are when it comes to Vice President Kamala Harris’s husband, Douglas Emhoff.  Their silence is deafening and the politically selective expression of their outrage is unavoidably apparent.

Consider just the following:

Mr. Emhoff has admitted not only to cheating on his ex-wife during their marriage but to doing so with their young child’s teacher.  And not only did he cheat on his wife and lie to conceal his affair, he has acknowledged that he impregnated his lover, but that “she did not keep” their baby.

Of course, Emhoff reportedly only came clean about his cheating and lying after he learned that a British tabloid was about to bust him.  It turns out, as reported by CNN, that the affair and terminated pregnancy were known to the Harris/Biden campaign staff prior to the 2020 presidential election campaign, but were concealed from the American people.  We still do not have all the relevant details.

Did Emhoff or anyone on his behalf pay the teacher for her silence?  Did she get an abortion and, if so, did Emhoff pay for it?  If so when was such payment made?  Was it to buy her silence during the election?  If so, will District Attorney Bragg or any other prosecutor bring criminal charges for trying to affect an election or for making an undisclosed campaign contribution?  Has there been any investigation at all in furtherance of the public’s right to know as much as possible about our candidates for president?

Polls tell us the election is too close to call, and I am not going to argue with those who make their living predicting what people will do. Nevertheless, Democrats act desperate; they act as though they expect to lose. They know they have played badly the hand they were dealt. That President Biden had been in mental decline was known by all who have watched his appearances over the past few years. Yet Democrats played Sergeant Schultz – “I know nothing” – and re-nominated him anyway. It was only after his disastrous debate with former President Trump on June 27, when his decline could no longer be denied, that he was unceremoniously dumped.

That gave Democrats less than two months to consider candidates who would appeal to a majority of delegates at an open convention to be held in Chicago from August 19 to the 24th. Instead they chose to coronate Vice President Kamala Harris who had only once visited the border for which Mr. Biden had given her responsibility – about her only real responsibility. Previously, she spent four years in the U.S. Senate, where The Hill, based on roll-call votes, placed her as the second most liberal Democratic senator to serve in the U.S. Senate in the 21st century, second behind Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts. Prior to the Senate, she had served thirteen years as an Attorney General, first of San Francisco and then of California.

Another Trump election, another shameful display of so-called Republican moral preening about Donald Trump being “unfit” for office, a “threat to democracy,” and an “abuser of our allies.” This time it’s William S. Cohen in the Wall Street Journal, an erstwhile Congressman, Senator, and Secretary of Defense between 1973 and 2001.

His tissue of Democrat campaign clichés and smears accompanies a preposterous panegyric to Kamala Harris’s make-believe foreign policy prowess, despite nearly four years of Biden’s and her abject failures abroad. Once again, a Potemkin conservative is carrying water for a party that has moved dangerously leftward as it continues the progressives’ long march to dismantle our Constitution, and with it our unalienable rights and political freedom.

Cohen’s second sentence makes clear his foreign-policy ideology: “Vice President Kamala Harris is an internationalist who believes in the rule of law and in a rules-based system that strives for global order and stability.” In other words, a proselyte of the “rules-based international order” that privileges “diplomatic engagement,” multinational institutions, and international law over a realist policy predicated on conflicting global national interests.

As such, Cohen extols Harris’s “commitment to help Ukraine defend its freedom and independence from Vladimir Putin’s criminal onslaught,” a New World Order project par excellence. That is, she supports a foreign policy that privileges the globalist elite technocrats and their interests over our national sovereignty, and our own citizens’ security and interests. Worse yet, Cohen can’t tell us what specific strategy Harris has for resolving this bloody and expensive war.

As for Harris’s loyalty to the “rule of law,” how does that square with Joe Biden’s usurping Congress’s Article One power to make the laws, and instead giving it to unelected and unaccountable federal agency clerks? Or his failure to fulfill his obligation “to take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed”?

Two months ago, as the Democrats were preparing for their national convention in Chicago, we were concerned that it would be a repeat of the party’s 1968 convention that was marred by riots. But sanity prevailed. It was a relatively quiet affair. Will the Democrats be just as quiet if Donald Trump wins next week’s election? It’s more likely that they will erupt with rage.

After all, there have been two failed attempts to assassinate Trump. Yes, the suspects in both cases appear to be disturbed. But it’s been the nonstop vilification of the former president from the left that likely motivated them. The prospect of another term for Trump is going to push many over the edge that they’ve been teetering on since the man announced in 2015 that he was running for president.

Across America, more than a dozen progressives in various positions of influence told The Wall Street Journal that they are dreading the prospect of Trump’s return to power, and dismayed that half the country might see a completely different reality than they see. Some are bracing for unrest. On a recent evening, more than 200 people joined a Zoom meeting titled Mass Training For Women’s Safety Teams — hosted by a Women’s March veteran who noted its timing amid ‘escalating political violence.’”

There is precedent. Trump’s 2016 election win provoked an outbreak of violence that lasted for days.

“For the third night in a row, anti-Donald Trump demonstrators took to the streets in several big cities and on college campuses across the United States, including an outburst of smashed windows and a dumpster fire in Portland that police countered with pepper spray and flash-bang devices,” USA Today reported on Nov. 11, 2016.

The day before, Al Jazeera said the protests against “Trump’s election victory had turned violent.”

Months later, on Jan. 21, 2017, Reuters reported “black-clad activists among hundreds of demonstrators protesting Donald Trump’s swearing-in on Friday clashed with police a few blocks from the White House, in an outburst of violence rare for an inauguration.” At least 217 were arrested.
