http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/3913/uk-muslim-prison-population “Nowadays jails are run mostly by Muslims … It hurts as a Muslim to have someone disrespect my religion. If we deal with him one time, with violence, and show him what time it is, he will never disrespect our religion again … For Muslims, you’d say it’s good, but for non-Muslims, it’s very, […]

“This is a serious book – an important book. Yet it is also a book, alas, in which several of the contributors seem to shy away from spelling out the role of Islamic theology itself – of, most fundamentally, the actual contents of the Koran – in Islamic antisemitism. Yes, the Nazi-Muslim connections are important; but the reason why Nazi attitudes toward Jews took root so swiftly in the dry sand of the Muslim world, and flowered so lushly, is that they differed very little, in substance, from attitudes that are articulated repeatedly throughout Islam’s holiest of books. I can understand, to be sure, why authors on the subject of Jew-hatred might want to take extra pains to avoid saying anything that might expose them to charges of Muslim-hatred; but let’s face it, those charges will be leveled anyway. What matters is the truth: and the truth is that Islam, from its very beginnings, has demonized Jews, and that this demonization is not a peripheral but a central element of the Muslim faith. Unless and until we recognize this fact, and address it head-on, we will not get very far at all in our effort to challenge the toxic Jew-hatred that is on the rise everywhere on the planet where the followers of Muhammed make their homes.”
“The study of antisemitism,” admits Bruno Chaouat, a professor of French in Minnesota, “can be tedious.” This admirably candid confession appears relatively early in the pages of Resurgent Antisemitism: Global Perspectives, a collection of nineteen new essays edited by Alvin H. Rosenfeld, the distinguished director of Indiana University’s Institute for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism and author of several major books about the Holocaust. Chaouat is right, of course: while a single anecdote about irrational hate can breed sorrow, anger, and/or shock, a thick book consisting entirely of such material is more likely to be, quite simply, numbing. It is Rosenfeld’s accomplishment to have assembled a volume that, rather than seeming to repeat the same points over and over again, feels consistently fresh as it moves from region to region, approaches its topic from one angle after another, and serves up new historical information and cultural insights at every turn.
http://frontpagemag.com/2013/david-solway/re-interpreting-the-koran/ As I’ve written on several previous occasions, there exists a sect of reformist Muslims who believe that the Koran has been grievously misread by cavilers and doubters who are convinced that Islam is not a religion of peace, but a violent and imperialistic faith intent on world conquest. The passages in the Koran—and the […]

This week’s Glazov Gang was joined by Nonie Darwish, author of The Devil We Don’t Know, Jen Serrano, a PolitiChick, and Tiffany Gabbay, the National Development Director at the David Horowitz Freedom Center.
The Glazov Gangsters gathered to discuss Weiner and the Brotherhood Bunch, dissecting the maze of a sex-obsessed politician and his Muslim Brotherhood wife and in-laws.
http://frontpagemag.com/2013/dgreenfield/the-environmental-apocalypse/print/ Early in the morning, while most are still sleeping, groups of elderly Chinese women spread out across city streets. They tear open trash bags, pick through the litter and sort out bottles and cans that come with a deposit. And then they bring them to the local supermarket to a machine that scans and […]

Two weeks ago, the House Appropriations Committee stripped the scandal ridden Internal Revenue Service of nearly one quarter of its 2014 budget as punishment for its targeting of political groups and its costly boondoggles.
Shockingly, Senate Democrats voted to increase the IRS’ budget.
Last week, numerous Republicans in both chambers of Congress threatened to cut off all funding for the federal government as of Oct. 1, in response to President Obama’s unconstitutional stance that he can pick and choose which parts of ObamaCare he will implement.
On July 3, the Obama administration disclosed that it would not implement ObamaCare’s employer mandate on Jan. 1, 2014, though the law says the mandate “shall” go into effect that day. The administration pretended it was no big deal.
But it violates the law and affects 10 million currently uninsured or underinsured workers whose employers would have been subject to the mandate. The cost of insuring these workers is shifted from employers to taxpayers, who foot the bill for subsidized insurance on the new ObamaCare exchanges. At an average cost of $5,290 per subsidized enrollee, according to the Congressional Budget Office, this will add billions to the cost of ObamaCare next year alone.

WHILE WE WERE DITHERING OVER CHUCK HAGEL WE GOT THE TWO JOHNS – BRENNAN AND KERRY…..AND NOW HILLARY CLINTON IS PREENING AND PUFFING AND SETTING UP HER CAMPAIGN. WHO CAN BEAT HER? THIS LIST IS PATHETIC HOGWASH….ONLY TED CRUZ IS A REAL NEW FACE BUT THERE ARE OTHERS…..RSK
The next Republican presidential nominee is already planning his campaign. If it is not too early for him to think about 2016, why should it be for the rest of us?
We don’t know, of course, what issues will be uppermost in the public mind that year, or what the economy will be like. Republicans can take comfort, though, in the fact that only twice in the last century has a two-term president been succeeded by someone else from the same party. They should also be encouraged that the leading Democratic contenders for 2016, at the moment, appear to be Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. Only four times in American history has the public chosen a president more than five years older than his predecessor (Clinton is 14 years older than Obama, Biden 19). Since the Cold War ended, the younger candidate has won all four races that featured a contrast in age.
Conservatives who disdain the Republican establishment and want an ideological hero to topple it in the primaries should be less encouraged. Since 1984, the party nomination has always gone to someone in the center of the party or even to the left of its center, and never to someone on its right.

Race-baiting, clueless, and cocky? Sheila Jackson Lee is the perfect Obama nominee.
Texas has done a lot of good for this country: the King Ranch and Texas-style chili. Dr. Pepper and the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders. Rick Perry and Ted Cruz. Patrick Swayze.
Texas also gave America Sheila Jackson Lee. So let’s call it even.
Since 1995, Jackson Lee (D.) has represented Texas’s 18th congressional district, which comprises much of inner-city Houston. Now at least one group on Capitol Hill is eyeing her for higher office: The Congressional Black Caucus is recommending that Jackson Lee replace Janet Napolitano as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
Jackson Lee is one of 32 House members who sit on the House Homeland Security Committee, which is her apparent qualification for heading up DHS. According to the CBC’s letter to President Obama recommending Jackson Lee, the congresswoman “understands the importance of increasing border security and maintaining homeland security” — which, if that is considered a qualification, sets the bar frighteningly low. Then the CBC adds that she would be a “voice of reason” at DHS.
Sheila Jackson Lee is many things. “Voice of reason” is not among them.
http://www.thecommentator.com/article/4009/the_remarkable_pope_francis_gays_and_lepers_of_old Pope Francis, a very modest man, would surely deprecate any effort to compare him to St. Francis of Assisi. Still, I can’t help but wonder: What will this remarkable new pontiff do next? How much significance is the world to attach to Pope Francis’s extraordinary statement on Monday that it was not for him […]
