The vast majority of “entitlements” provided by our government to narcotize the citizenry’s work ethic and sense of personal responsibility are as bogus as the Obama administration’s claim that it rescued the economy (well, perhaps all the president’s men did rescue the Chinese economy…). But I do believe that, as an American citizen, I am entitled to free and fair elections. Both political extremes seek to undermine that right, whether through super-PACs or hi-jinx. But the biggest threat to genuinely fair and honest elections is the naked prejudice of the establishment media.

Our media have, by and large, long tilted left. But even in the Bush years the slanting wasn’t as ham-handed as it is in the (election) Year of our Lord 2012. Almost four years into the Obama presidency, huge blank spots remain in the incumbent’s personal history (we knew more negative information—much of it invented—about Sarah Palin in four days than we’ve learned about the president in four years). Now, as the administration blunders from one mess to another, the establishment media hastily plasters its “Band-Aids of silence” over the worst goofs and gaffes.

You’ve heard about the Secret Service’s merrymaking in Colombia—but I’ll bet you haven’t heard about Obama’s blunder that had Latin America laughing out loud. Why? Because our media wouldn’t report it. Well, if you can read basic Spanish, log onto the sites of a few Latin American outlets that covered the Cartagena summit—I suggest starting with La Reforma, Mexico’s leading newspaper. The Latin Americans took the hooker affair in stride, but marveled at our president’s (unreported here) public gaffe.

In 1517, Martin Luther set off the Protestant revolution against the Catholic Church that led to the spread of the then-new movement as a response to the corruption of the Church. It took time for it to establish itself as an alternative and was greatly aided by the invention of printing and spread of literacy, but mostly because ordinary people had grown weary of the Church’s extravagance, poor governance, and resistance to change.

The selling of worthless “indulgences” as a means to wipe one’s sins clean was the final straw.

Environmentalism has become a modern religion and its “cap and trade” scheme to sell worthless permission slips for the emission of so-called “greenhouse gases”—based on United Nations Kyoto Protocol calling for a reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the Earth’s atmosphere—is being rejected by many nations.

As it has become common knowledge that CO2 is vital to all life on Earth and plays no role in affecting the climate, ordinary people have concluded that global warming in particular and environmentalism in general is a giant fraud.

For several years, an Orwellian-type fear of being “marginalized” held reporters and pundits back from questioning Barack Obama’s eligibility to hold the office of the presidency. To raise an eyebrow at the bizarre secrecy of Obama was off-limits. To question whether the historic definition of “natural born citizen” applied to Obama was taboo.

The era of fear, however, is happily winding down. It will take some time for this realization to fully take hold. But make no mistake: the tables have turned.

Like it or not, the ground has shifted, and it cannot shift back. The evidence of Obama’s forgeries is not going away.

Up until this point, Mr. Obama controlled everything, including the talking points and burden of proof.

Rather than simply produce certified paper copies for state election officials and make the original available for officials to inspect in Hawaii, Obama played games with his purported birth certificate. We were told for three years that Obama’s birth certificate had been posted online in 2008 — though it turns out that it was a scant certification. In 2010, when confronted with the alarming doubts of the American people, Mr. Obama lamented to a sympathetic Brian Williams of NBC: “I can’t spend all my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehead.” The following year, out of left field, on April 27, 2011, Obama “released” the elusive birth certificate by posting a now-discredited file image online.

After ethnically cleansing its over 500,000 Christians, the rogue Arab Islamist regime of the Sudan has declared war on the Christian and black South Sudan, which broke away last year after peace talks under UN auspices supposedly ended the civil war, in which an estimated 2 million, mostly civilians in the south and in Darfur were killed.

The UN would have you believe this is about a dispute over the Heglig oil field, which the South Sudan occupied after Sudan began violating the borders and attempting to seize the South Sudan’s oil wealth in other areas. It isn’t. It is and always was about jihad, domination and control.

The Sudan’s president, Omar al-Bashir, who is already under indictment as a war criminal for genocidal activities, showed how flawed that notion is, announcing “Sudan should not be ruled separately in the north and the south, either they (SPLM) come and control Khartoum or we go and control Juba. Heglig isn’t the end, it is the beginning, and we shall go all the way to [South Sudanese capital] Juba.”

You have to wonder how long the West is going to allow maniacs like al-Bashir a free hand.

Here we have a people who were murdered, raped and enslaved for decades who finally managed to break away and declare themselves a free country. South Sudan is a UN member, and the UN charter specifically forbids aggression by one member against another.
