Veni Vidi Vichy How to view the incoming one-party oligarchy in Washington. Lloyd Billingsley

President Trump has promised an orderly transition for January 20 but that event obliges no one to accept the incoming administration as legitimate. For all but the willfully blind, Democrat operatives stole the election and on January 6 Mike Pence nixed the last prospect for an official recount. That has led many to wonder how they should perceive the duo slated to take power. France’s World War II Vichy regime provides some helpful parallels.

That regime emerged from the Franco-German Armistice of June 22, 1940, and made France the puppet state of Nazi Germany. In the case of Biden-Harris the dominate power is China, one of the most murderous regimes in history. During Mao’s Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution, the Communist regime killed scores of millions, far surpassing Stalin and Hitler.

At Tiananmen Square in 1989 the Chinese people stood up for freedom and human rights. As American politicians looked the other way, betrayed the people, and pushed for China’s inclusion in the World Trade Organization. That was supposed to make the regime more liberal, but it only became more repressive, and China quickly exploited the United States for its own advantage.

“Biden Gets China,” headlined the Atlantic in January, 2012. As the White House confirmed, “vice president Joe Biden will take the lead on the administration’s next phase China policy.” On Biden’s watch, China became more repressive at home and aggressive abroad, with little if any pushback from the vice president and his boss. Through son Hunter, Joe Biden is the regime’s biggest pushover.

“If Biden wins,” Trump said last October,  “China will own the United States,” and few politicians are more China-compliant than Joe Biden. As the regime tightened the screws on Hong Kong, in violation of their agreement, Biden proclaimed the Communists were “not bad folks” and “not competition for us.” Harris’ story is somewhat different.

Three Days of Darkness in D.C. I was there. This is my story. Katie Hopkins

“Do you denounce the violence at the Capitol Building?”

Any talking head on radio or TV must now first answer that question in the affirmative before they are allowed to express an opinion. The whole paradigm infers, naturally, that the default position of Trump supporters is to encourage violence. Empirical evidence, of course, tells us the exact opposite. Indeed, the behavior of the MAGA masses at every peaceful rally, every boat parade and every convoy in 2020 is a testament to that reality. The eyewitnesses among the over 500,000 people who gathered at the MAGA rally on the National Mall on January 6 have also related something quite telling: that they actually had absolutely no clue about what went on at the Capitol Building — until they finally got a signal on their phones or went back to their hotels and saw it on the TV.

Listen carefully to one of the eyewitnesses here:

What ACTUALLY happened on the 6 Jan in DC. Please listen

I was also an eyewitness to many things. All bars and restaurants were closed. A curfew was in place. The National Guard was flooding in — and in the chilly darkness Trump supporters had nowhere to go. Even the MAGA loyalists who were gathered on the sidewalks outside hotels downtown were being ushered back inside buildings by Capitol Police.

At my hotel in Chinatown, a MAGA group just inside the foyer held a kind of raging standoff with the police outside the glass front doors, opening them occasionally to vent their frustrations. And their frustrations were not without cause.

The Ultimate Betrayal The Establishment rejects America’s birthright for eternal power. Joseph Hippolito

https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2021/01/ultimate-betrayal-joseph-hippolito/

EXCERPT:

Congress certified Joe Biden as President in the dead of night Jan. 7 with the rest of Washington, D.C. under curfew and despite massive evidence of electoral fraud in his favor.

Congress thus wrote the latest act of a two-month drama that featured judges in starring roles. Those judges – including Supreme Court justices — arbitrarily used technicalities to deny President Donald Trump the chance to make his legal case as an aggrieved party victimized by fraud.

The only reason — the only reason – for those authorities’ behavior was their own contempt for Trump.

The implications are stunning, and go far beyond any one man or Presidential election. Now, every American — regardless of race, creed, class, gender or any other category — can become a target for the capricious disregard of due process if that American is unpopular with the powers-that-be.

Americans have seen this before. They saw it in Judge Emmet Sullivan’s unprofessional behavior during Gen. Michael Flynn’s trial. They see it now in the lockdowns and mandates issued solely by executive fiat and based on medical quackery, despite scientific evidence showing that masks and social distancing create more harm than good.

But the events of Jan. 6 in Washington drained the last remaining drops of formaldehyde from the nation’s political corpse.

As Congress met to decide Biden’s fate, as Trump rallied thousands of supporters to demand a fair hearing, several protesters breached Capitol security. As a result, Congress had to be recessed and Congressional offices evacuated.

Many entered without resistance because Capitol security — which Congress directly oversees — allowed them to enter. Protesters walked through passages marked by security cords and acted with carte blanche in the empty building.

Capitol Riot Used to Crush ‘The Big Lie’ By Julie Kelly

https://amgreatness.com/2021/01/11/capitol-riot-used-to-crush-the-big-lie/

But the actual “big lie” is that the 2020 election was on the up-and-up and no amount of unpersoning will persuade half the country otherwise. Indeed, it confirms it.

On January 6, the day of the Capitol protest/riot/siege, Rasmussen released a poll that showed only a slight majority of Americans believe Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election fairly. Just 25 percent of Republicans and 52 percent of unaffiliated voters said that Biden’s election was on the square.

The poll’s results largely reflected the mood of the electorate and Republican lawmakers were getting an earful from constituents about congressional inaction. Finally, two months too late, a dozen Senate Republicans concocted a last-ditch plan to “audit” the election results before Inauguration Day, a move backed by most GOP voters and by the president.

It forewarned an ignominious start to the Biden-Harris Administration. Democrats, after suffering unexpected losses in the House and eking out the slimmest majority in the Senate, could hardly claim any sort of mandate with tens of millions of Americans questioning the validity of the national election. A public vetting in Congress, devoid of far-fetched claims peddled by shady operatives, exposing provable evidence of vote fraud, conducted days before the inauguration was the last thing Team Biden and the Democrats wanted.

Trump’s 2024 dreams destroyed by Capitol attack, say advisers

Trump Erases His Legacy

“After Trump leaves the presidency, he will not be coming back.”

“I think the Trump brand is close to destroyed”

Pardon this commentator while he suppresses a hearty guffaw at expressions of the complete ruination of President Donald Trump in response to his supposed role in “inciting” the “insurrection” by his supporters at the Capitol.

As horrifying and inexcusable a state of affairs as that was – and as seemingly effortlessly and painlessly linkable to the president’s exhortation – one must ask: Did opposing politicians and pundits and even once-friendly prognosticators and wobbly Cabinet members have their heads under the proverbial rock the last five years?

Were they not paying attention from the moment he descended the golden escalator to disintegrate every rule of public and political decorum and conventional wisdom? With each handicapper on the face of the earth declaring, “he can’t possibly survive this one”?

We Need a New Media System If you sell culture war all day, don’t be surprised by the real-world consequences Matt Taibbi

https://taibbi.substack.com/p/we-need-a-new-media-system?token=

The moment a group of people stormed the Capitol building last Wednesday, news companies began the process of sorting and commoditizing information that long ago became standard in American media.

Media firms work backward. They first ask, “How does our target demographic want to understand what’s just unfolded?” Then they pick both the words and the facts they want to emphasize.

It’s why Fox News uses the term, “Pro-Trump protesters,” while New York and The Atlantic use “Insurrectionists.” It’s why conservative media today is stressing how Apple, Google, and Amazon shut down the “Free Speech” platform Parler over the weekend, while mainstream outlets are emphasizing a new round of potentially armed protests reportedly planned for January 19th or 20th.

What happened last Wednesday was the apotheosis of the Hate Inc. era, when this audience-first model became the primary means of communicating facts to the population. For a hundred reasons dating back to the mid-eighties, from the advent of the Internet to the development of the 24-hour news cycle to the end of the Fairness Doctrine and the Fox-led discovery that news can be sold as character-driven, episodic TV in the manner of soap operas, the concept of a “Just the facts” newscast designed to be consumed by everyone died out.

News companies now clean world events like whalers, using every part of the animal, funneling different facts to different consumers based upon calculations about what will bring back the biggest engagement kick. The Migrant Caravan? Fox slices off comments from a Homeland Security official describing most of the border-crossers as single adults coming for “economic reasons.” The New York Times counters by running a story about how the caravan was deployed as a political issue by a Trump White House staring at poor results in midterm elections.

What I Saw At The ‘Save America Rally’ In Washington, DC On Jan. 6 By Jenni White

https://thefederalist.com/2021/01/11/what-i-saw-at-the-save-america-rally-in-washington-dc-on-jan-6/

President Trump told the assembly: ‘I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.’

Six friends and I drove almost 20 hours to attend the Save America Rally on Jan. 6 in Washington D.C. with hundreds of thousands of people: families, young people, old people, veterans, Americans of every conceivable ethnicity and background. I stood in the freezing cold, shoulder-to-shoulder with other Americans to the point I simply couldn’t move, there were so many people crowded together.

My group reached the grounds of The Ellipse at 6:30 a.m. where a crowd—already pressing people along with considerable force—was just beginning to assemble. President Trump was scheduled to speak at noon, so we stood dutifully, our toes freezing and joints stiffening, for five hours to hear him speak, hoping to hear how we could navigate the muddy water of election irregularities necessary to save our republic.

The crowd went wild with appreciation as Trump took the stage, yet as soon as he began to speak, a sea of voices stilled to listen. After touching on his hopes for his vice president, his disdain of cowardly Republicans including Mitt Romney, President Trump said to us, “We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators, and congressmen and women. We’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong” (16:25).

Twitter Hasn’t Suspended These Accounts Or Tweets That Openly Incite Violence By Paulina Enck

https://thefederalist.com/2021/01/10/twitter-hasnt-suspended-these-accounts-or-tweets-that-openly-incite-violence/

On Friday, Twitter joined a slew of other social media companies in permanently suspending Donald Trump’s accounts. Subsequently, many other conservative users found themselves deplatformed by the tech giant. The tech oligarchs’ argument is that Trump’s social media presence incites violence, as evidenced by the riot in the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.

Twitter argued that several of Trump’s tweets violated its Glorification of Violence policy, which states, “You may not threaten violence against an individual or a group of people. We also prohibit the glorification of violence.”

Unsurprisingly, there are countless Twitter accounts that regularly call for harm or violence, in violation of this policy, yet have been allowed to persist. While the president’s posts and remarks have included some awful things, they have been in no way worse than much of what transpires on the platform.

Ayatollah Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, has an intact Twitter account that consistently glorifies acts of violence, yet the brutal dictator has not faced any censorship or suspension. After the heartbreaking beheading of a French teacher because he showed a political cartoon depicting Mohammad, and a mass stabbing in a church in Nice, Khamenei focused vitriol on those murdered, claiming the “rage” of Muslim extremists had demonstrated its “vitality.”

Khamenei also called for Israel to “perish” and has promised “revenge” on the United States. But Twitter is more offended by President Trump than a theocratic dictator who supports terror attacks and threatens other countries.

The Purge Has Begun. Trump Was Just The Beginning Robert Romano

https://dailytorch.com/

President Donald Trump has finally had his Twitter account banned permanently, which had more than 80 million followers.

He got his posting privileges suspended from Facebook yesterday. The account itself may not be too far behind.

The purge has begun. Cancel culture is going to be worse than ever.

You either bend the knee and renounce President Trump — or your days on social media or in official Washington, D.C., could be numbered.

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.)  just had a book contract canceled.

He and his colleague Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) are being cut off by the GOP establishment and Republican donors, simply for fighting for election integrity in a process prescribed under law by Congress more than a century ago.

Parler, the social media alternative to Twitter, has been banned from the Google Play store barring it from Android devices, and just got threatened by Apple it will be removed from their App Store, which would make the app inaccessible on Apple devices, unless it implements a censorship policy. They’ve been given 24 hours.

And there are a number of other accounts and cancellations occurring. It is a wholesale assault on the entire Republican party. Not just Trump supporters.

Make no mistake. This is a bid for one-party rule.

A First-Hand Account at The Trump Election Protest The true story is getting lost in the propaganda. by Matt Keener

https://spectator.org/first-hand-account-trump-riots/

“I looked for every reason not to travel to D.C. last week. I covered a previous post-election event in D.C. in November. But I want to be on record. I was there the day “We The People” told a corrupt government that we know they stole an election and that the government works for us.”

The 2020 election was very much about who controlled the information and who got to tell the story. The Capitol “Riots” were no different. It’s hard to gauge how many people were truly there for the rally and event that day, in part because the mainstream media outlets would never want to give accurate totals for those numbers. It’s doubtful the scene or event would have made that much of a blip on the news radar that day if the events at the Capitol Building did not take place. Prior to that, CNN and others had little interest in explaining how a “losing” President presided over one of the largest crowds to ever gather at the Washington Monument on Wednesday in January.

I was sandwiched in the middle of a sea of the most people I’m convinced I will ever see in my entire life. An Ohioan – I looked out in every direction and figured the crowd was at least the scope of four to five totally packed Ohio Stadiums in Columbus. That is probably one of the overwhelming themes of a few days in Washington D.C. – there were just so many people. They were at the hotels. They were on the turnpike and at highway rest stops along the way in Trump gear with Trump flags. They were at the rally and split out in two different directions after the speech to head to the Capitol Building.

Ron N. from New York stood in front of us. In between speakers, he told the story of having COVID-19 and doctors telling his wife to get his affairs in order. And then one doctor fought to have Hydroxychloroquine prescribed. Nelson credited it for saving his life.

Sean R. stood to our right and filmed most of the events on his Go Pro. He described what brought him to D.C. His mother received a knock on the door Thanksgiving Day. “She followed the COVID protocols to a T prior to that. She would not leave the house,” he said. “She had seven people over for Thanksgiving and someone told on her. The cops threatened to arrest her. She had a nervous breakdown. She’s still not over it.”

From virus lockdowns, to the medication prescribed for the virus, to the number of people in attendance at a rally or what constitutes a “peaceful protest” versus a “riot”– every event and piece of information is spun, manipulated, or tweaked for an audience today.
